July Sprite Contest Results

1st:

Ionem's Hitmonchan/American flag combo
Everything about this entry is outstanding. The flag is gorgeous, the Hitmonchan looks superb, and the stars top it all off perfectly. I had one complaint for this entry dealing with the two stars resting behind the flag on the right. Shouldn't they be in front of the flag like the rest of the stars? Still, this is a minor quibble to an overall awesome entry. Yes, I just used the word "quibble"...

2nd:

Pikafirefight's English Troop Unit
When I started this contest I was hoping someone would make an entry dealing with the war in Iraq. Alas, Pikefirefight came through for me with his English Troop Unit. His entry mimics your average grunt really well, the backpack, face paint, and color.

3rd:

Allstories's Uncle Sam
Obviously Allstories believes that Uncle Sam is a little on the heavy side. =D Not much else to say. Nice job AS!

4th:

DarkPegasus's countries "something"
It's especially sad that dear ole DP isn't quite sure how his entry relates to his country, but one thing is for sure, it's an extremely well done sprite. Good job detailing it DP. If only I knew what the entry was so I could compare to the real thing. Oh well. >_>

5th:

Alex's Uncle Sam
A nicely done Uncle Sam complete with shaking fist and flag. Something different about this entry though, it has this toy nutcracker vibe about it. Not that toy nutcrackers are bad or anything. o.o;
