A lot of people have stated here and there that Barry/jun would make a great permanent character, but i think that it is a very bad idea the whole concept is a bit flawed.

The main problem is that Jun is challenging Gyms like ash and if he was to travel with ash he would fight the exact same gyms and we would see the exact same battles twice right after each other and it will get quite repetitive after a while.

What do you think this is just my point of view and i would like to hear/read yours

I agree with ya... but anyways even if he joins Ash's group he'd have to go away eventually... as far as my memory reach he has less badges then Ash doesn't he?

Agreed. I don't think Jun would be good for the main cast. Like Shigeru and Shinji, he should be a major recurring character. Basically for the reasons you've stated. No one wants to see a Gym Battle more than once. XD

I saw a Barry episode recently, I like him and think he should be a recurring character but not main cast, because as you said it would mean duplicate gym battles (unless they double teamed).

I think Jun should just go on his own or find his own little group to travel with, not with Satoshi. I'd like him to be more of those competitions Satoshi and Shinji always have, which is pretty much just to find a way to evolve their Pokemon.

Rather than Barry travelling with Ash, it would be pretty cool if they made Barry the main character for a few episodes, like in the Chronicles or something. That would be pretty fun ~ Actually, just switch Ash for Barry :P

Sure as hell would be perfect for sure. But Jun joining the group could happen. Have ash become his mentor or something for winning the league.

To me alone, it would be a nice and realistic change, but it won't happen because most people, if not all, would get bored from repetitive battles.
