So, Juniper was the first and only female professor. What did you think of this? Do you think she did justice to this role? Would've you liked to see more of her family other than just her father? Did you want more of his backstory? Did you want more of Juniper's backstory? Share your thoughts. C:

I really liked Professor Juniper. It was fun having a professor that took on the duties of her father and became his successor. You see her a lot throughout Black and White, and she talks about how important it is getting past Team Plasma's schemes. Although she doesn't appear in the sequels until somewhat late (before your sixth Gym fight), but it was nice that Bianca becomes her assistant.

And oh look, 1900 posts. Yay.

I thought it was quite revolutionary having a female professor so for that reason I took an instant liking to Professor Juniper for breaking down the expectations that I'd always had about Pokémon Professors being a male-oriented profession for some reason lol :)

In a way, the modern inclusion of a female professor kind of ties in with the theme that Team Plasma was dealing with, and the kind of modern-day concerns they have about animal (Pokémon) welfare, so I think out of all the generations, having a female professor in Unova seemed like a good fit :) I hope that makes sense lol.

As for Juniper herself, I really like her design and the fact that she has connections in the game, for example her friend Fennel in Striaton City is kind of akin to Professor Elm being linked with Mr. Pokémon :)

Finally I loved how she left your starter Pokémon in your house, which paved the way for the chaotic opening battle leading to the destruction of the protagonist's room lol xD

I kinda get what you're saying Xtina. In a way, the games have slowly become more female inclusive, as the demographic of Pokemon has changed or at least has evidently shifted towards a more neutral following. Therefore it only made sense that she got to be professor. Since it was starting new, too, I think it also made sense that she was the leading authority there, as opposed to anyone else because it was like, new gender, new region, new journey sorta thing. She didn't seem crazy tho. Professors of the past have been at least a little crazy, she seemed too formal :'(
