"Just Add Water!" Episode Discussion

I have the feeling that, had this been Kanto, that the gym nor any of the people inside would have survived Misty's wrath after being told she was not one of the pretty sisters. XD OK, obviously not as much, but she needed to get more angry, I thought. About Ash shoving in front of her, the man not knowing who she was, and the man calling her a runt (I'm sure he did?). Perhaps it's to show maturity though? But I would've prefered if she exploded.

I was also annoyed about Team Rocket coming to the surface, needing to get their sub fixed, only to be blasted off! Ash is the true villian of this show...

But it's nice to have a Misty centred episode. It was, kind of...Shame it was boring.

(my facts maybe a little skewed as I haven't watched this in ages haha)

(It's good enough for my tastes, as I haven't watched it, either).

Well, that's one of the complaints of Johto Misty, how she watered down in personality (pardon the pun). In some ways, I do miss that fire in the belly, so to speak. Interesting how the Water Gym concept gets really poked at in her Housou episodes, though.

As for the underwater battles, not practical, but a non cookie-cutter way to conduct a battle.

Interesting note on the dub voice of the character of the day: it was Leonardo's VA on 4Kids' Ninja Turtles toon. So that made it memorable for me. That, and the name they chose, Dorian = Dorsal fin, makes sense.

I also rather liked the title, between "Why, Why Not," and this, I was set for the season. And to compensate for the next one, as Ash's Lapras returned, but had a stinker of a title.

Well I remember seeing this episode but really I kinda thought it was boring. I mean it was intresting to see a battle underwater and Ash's Lapras which was coolies it got another apperence but really it kinda had the feeling that it could have been done better. Su.
