Nick totally didn't mention this in his blog So I thought totally on my own that I should give what I think of this forum in general, so I won't be just mentioning one thing that I like, but a lot of the features.

    So, here goes nothing...

    Layout

What I think of the layout of the site, is that it actually looks really good in terms of where everything is placed. When I first joined, I found this place quite easy to navigate myself and found exactly what I wanted pretty much instantly. Even if the place I wanted was small, it was still easy to find. This has got to be one of the greatest perks about this site. :D

I like how everything is in a nice, and neat order. You can easily un-collapse the areas you want to have no affiliation with, which I think is a neat thing, so if one were to never visit the Creative Discussions, they could just close it up if they wanted to. You have the most important things for new people right at the top, including rules, and a place to introduce yourself, which is awesome for those new people learning the forum.

The order of forums is quite neat if you ask me. There's the latest games to discuss easily, followed by more gaming-oriented stuff and then just the Pokemon in general, which is a nice thing. And from there which you go from interesting things which can have some sort of relation to the subject of the forum, to pretty much everything which has nothing to do with it. It's a nice order of things, and quite easy to navigate.

Overall, I give the layout a 9/10. My only complaint is that the ROM hacking is quite low for people to find, considering it's one of the community's biggest assets.

    Styles/Graphics

To be honest, this has got to be one of the best sites if you care about the look of the site. It's just amazing in terms of graphics, and with a lot of people being able to contribute to the cause as well, which is just amazing. There are so many styles to choose from, so there's something to please everyone.

The style chooser from the big list is really good if you ask me. There's the little picture, which acts as a small preview for the style, which even though I don't use it, it's very neat. There are so many ways of just looking at the styles you like. I think the hardest thing to do is just choosing one that appeals to you!

I'd have to give this the full marks of 10/10. It's flawless in every way that I can think of, and there aren't really any faults to it. :D

    The community in itself

The community is the core of the forum. The people who make up the community is one of the best reasons to come here. Sure you've got those people who act silly at times, but most of the time it's more good in heart. The people are really nice and just easy to get along with. There's always the odd person/troll there who likes to stir things up, but again, it's all good in heart. From what I've noticed, no one is really that hard to talk to. No one really portrays that feeling of intimidation, and it's just easy to get into a conversation with other people, and to become friends with them.

I wanted to try to avoid comparing this site to other Pokemon-oriented sites, but I guess it can't be helped. From what I've seen, the people here are nice, informative and another descriptive word if I can think of one. The people come off really nice, and you can really tell just by looking at the New Users / Welcomes posts. When I first heard of sites such as Smogon, I had also heard that the people there weren't the nicest of people, and I pretty much avoided that place as long as I could. A while ago, I recall an incident where people were stating their opinions on what Pokemon-oriented site they like better, out of two candidates. The owner of one of the sites got in on the conversation, and started flaming and saying how his site was so much better, because people were going the other way, because that's how they feel. I don't want to be on a site where people are just aggressive about such small things.

It couldn't be helped, but that was a long rant. From my experience here, I give the community a 9.5/10. There is the occasional troll here and there, but it can't be helped.

    The staff

What I think of the staff here is quite highly and just amazing. They really are awesome people to look up to for guidance, or support, or pretty much anything. That said, it really applies for everyone, striving to be the best they be by looking up to these sorts of people. The staff are just those people who really stand out, and are all unique in their own way.

I've been to other sites before where the staff seem really generic, and don't really set a standard as to what you should follow. Some moderators on other sites can't really enforce the rules properly, or talk to people in a respective manner, all because they may feel as if they're above everyone, so they don't have the need to respect other users or something.

Essentially, I feel as if the staff here do an amazing job, and don't really seperate the staff thing from the friendly thing, which other places do. I give them a 9/10.

    The welcoming committee

This is a big one, especially for newer members. People make a thread introducing themselves, and it's up to the people who greet them to make a good impression, which will lure them in and let them stay. To me, I think this is one of the biggest things that every forum needs, a really good welcoming committee, and I think that this site has managed to accomplish that. :)

In my opinion, it's really well put together, and people get greeted like a baws really well. I've seen people put together decent greetings which are fun to read, even for a seasoned member such as myself, and I always have a blast reading them. It's a lot better than other sites, where you put the effort to tell people about yourself, and people just reply with a simple "welcome". They don't display any sort of interest in new people, and really copy-and-paste introductions from one person to another. It's good that it doesn't happen here at all, which makes the greeting process even more enjoyable.

People really do put out when it comes to greeting people as well. Even if someone just says something simple like "Hi, I'm new and glad to be here", people can churn out something huge and erotic fun to read. It really is something that should be looked upon as an example for other sites if they ever want a greeting program. :)

Honestly, I'd have to give this section a 9/10. It has it's flaws here and there, but mostly with the people greeting though, which still means it's quite awesome.

This site overall, I'd have to give it a 9/10. It has it's flaws just like everything in this world, but it's heavily made up for it, because of just the atmosphere which the place gives, and just the awesomeness of the people in general. :D

It's nice to see positive feedback, especially at this caliber (did I spell that right?) and extent. Hope I can continue to be a part of that friendly staff you're talking about, hehe. But like I said, it's very nice to get such detailed feedback! Thank you! :]

    Caliber is right. :D

This was an excellent feedback. I especially agree with the welcoming part. When you're new and you get rolled with so many friendly, kind comments, it really encourages you stay!

I'd like to think that the reason our board for introductions does somewhat well against what you might see on some other boards is simply because our member base is just friendlier. I point it out all the time. By some random chance, we just have overly friendly people on this community. Sure, there are some sour grapes in the bunch, but overall, I think you'll agree. When you get a friendly welcome, you create more friendly members. Respect follows a cycle, and I like to think we accomplish that well here.

That being said, I'm glad you respect it so much. We're constantly trying to make all parts of PC better in any ways we can - that's our job as members of the PC staff. :]

    Thanks for the feedback~

It is nice to get some feeback. ^____^

Especially with the NU/W board; when I first sign up to this site, it was the board where I made the (majority) of my first friends, and well, its the only board where I can truly express myself! I just encourage people who are welcoming to you know, let loose and feel the new user part of the "PC family" so to speak! So you know, I agree; the NU/W board is quite fun. <3

I should get active in the board more though. ^.^'
