Hey, I've been getting into competitive battling for a few weeks now and was looking for some advice and opinions on my current team.

    Typhlosion @ Choice Specs
    Ability: Blaze
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
    Timid Nature
    - Eruption
    - Fire Blast
    - Focus Blast
    - Hidden Power [Steel] (May seem like an odd choice... I don't know if I can really justify it, but I've found it to be more reliable to be locked into than grass or rock.)

    Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
    Ability: Iron Barbs
    EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 Atk
    Relaxed Nature
    IVs: 0 Spd
    - Power Whip
    - Gyro Ball
    - Leech Seed
    - Curse

    Aggron @ Aggronite
Ability: Heavy Metal (To make Heavy Slam hit harder if I have a reason not to mega-evolve right away).
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
    Adamant Nature
    - Earthquake
    - Dragon Tail
    - Stealth Rock
    - Heavy Slam

    Starmie @ Life Orb
    Ability: Natural Cure
    EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
    Timid Nature
    - Rapid Spin
    - Ice Beam
    - Thunderbolt
    - Hydro Pump

    Garchomp @ Focus Sash
    Ability: Rough Skin
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
    Naive Nature
    - Stealth Rock
    - Dragon Claw
    - Earthquake
    - Fire Blast

    Dragalge @ Assault Vest
    Ability: Poison Point
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
    Modest Nature
    - Draco Meteor
    - Dragon Pulse
    - Sludge Bomb
    - Toxic Spikes

If you have any questions about my choices feel free to ask.

Also here's a video from Showdown of the team in action: I can't post links yet but the end of the url is this: /ou-87422892

You can tell I'm new to this particularly at the point I completely forget Arcanine has Flash Fire lol

Grass or Rock a more reliable Hidden Power type for Typhlosion because it hits Water Pokemon hard without having to rely on Focus Blast. However, even though Choice Scarf Eruption is Typhlosion's main niche, that's still not enough to give it a place in OU. Talonflame is a much better revenge killer because of Gale Wings giving priority to Brave Bird:
    -Swords Dance
    -Flare Blitz
    -Brave Bird
    -Roost
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Sharp Beak/Sky Plate
    Ability: Gale Wings

    or
    -Flare Blitz
    -Brave Bird
    -U-turn
    -Tailwind/Will-o-Wisp/Roost
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Choice Band
    Ability: Gale Wings

Curse Ferrothorn needs plenty of support to work. In the end, it's not worth using:
    -Stealth Rock/Spikes
    -Leech Seed
    -Gyro Ball/Thunder Wave
    -Power Whip/Protect
    Nature: Relaxed
    EVs: 252 HP/48 Def/208 SDef
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Iron Barbs

Aggron should Mega Evolve ASAP because its terrible defensive typing leaves it with crippling 4x weaknesses to Fighting and Ground. Powering up Heavy Slam with Heavy Metal isn't worth doing:
    -Stealth Rock
    -Iron Head/Heavy Slam
    -Thunder Wave/Ice Punch
    -Earthquake/Rock Slide
    Nature: Relaxed
    EVs: 252 HP/16 Def/240 SDef
    Item: Aggronite
    Ability: Sturdy

    or
    -Rest
    -Sleep Talk
    -Iron Head/Heavy Slam
    -Earthquake/Ice Punch
    Nature: Relaxed
    EVs: 252 HP/16 Def/240 SDef
    Item: Aggronite
    Ability: Sturdy

Assault Vest prevents Dragalge from using Toxic Spikes, a status move. Goodra is a better Assault Vest user because of its better offensive presence; also, Dragalge is seriously mediocre without Adaptability:
    -Draco Meteor
    -Fire Blast
    -Thunderbolt/Sludge Bomb
    -Focus Blast/Dragon Tail
    Nature: Modest/Quiet
    EVs: 248 HP/252 SAtk/8 SDef
    Item: Assault Vest
    Ability: Gooey/Sap Sipper

While I can appreciate Talonflame may be a better choice, I kind of want to stick with Typhlosion more for personal preference than anything. I just like it better lol

Although I will definately use Talonflame sometimes as well as it will be fun to have pokemon I can switch around in the team. I can see the benefit of using it instead.

When it comes to Goodra though I think it'd definitely be a good idea to use on the team. Although like with Typhlosion I think I'll use both and switch it in and out with Dragalge sometimes for variance. I really overlooked the toxic spikes thing though lol That was stupid.

I'm not sure about Curse with Ferrothorn, I'll remove it and see how the battles play out. I've got a few uses out of curse but I might have just been lucky.

Thunder Wave or Ice Punch on Aggron seems like a good idea too, although Dragon Tail has saved me a few times when people have tried to set up. I'll definitely try out these move sets though. Thanks for the help!
