[Other Question] Just starting out

I just downloaded essential and rpgmaker yesterday so this might sound dumb but how do I start creating a game? It starts out like a regular pokemon game with npc that have commands but how do I start creating? I've pressed every button on my keyboard and I'm lost

In the bottom left of the screen, there's a little section with all the maps. Go to the top of that, to the main file and right click and create new map. Then just play around with it. That's how I started. I copy and pasted a lot of stuff from the sample maps too.
