Hi there,

I just joined and found myself a little lost, so I decided to follow the sites lead. It took me here :)

A few words about myself first. I am a student of a Technical University, currently in the process of attending Computer Science. Although I study in english, it's not my native language and I might make some ( if not a lot ) mistakes. My entire childhood was based on Pokemon and DragonBall and the sentiment stayed with me till now.

Recently my younger brother, while doing some major room-cleaning, found my GB Advance with the Leaf Green still inserted. That was the start of his love with the Pokemon games. Right now I managed to lunch an emulator on his PSP ( as the GameBoy is mine :) ) and got him the same game. But what lead me to this site was his question if I can make the game so, that he can catch all of the pokemons.

So here I am, learning the AdvanceMap, PokeScript and other stuff. I will propably ask a lot of questions or plead for advice, but let's not plan so far ahead.

Hello there and Welcome to the PC Forum!
I see, learning this hacking stuff for your brother is really nice of you.
I guess not all Pokemon hack leads to completion but to own desires.
You may ask any questions on Emulation & Rom Hacking Section..
Which all of those who have no knowledge about Rom hacking and
those who wanted to learn ask if they are really that curious and
really wanted to make a game that everyone will enjoy and play it.
But you have different reason, but you'll come to that thing anyway.
Aside hacking, everyone in PC are very kind. Hope you enjoy yourself here!

Very glad to hear that you're settling in nicely already! Welcome and good to meet you, Lea.

Aw, yeah, the hacking board is wonderful and you'll get all the help you need there. I'd say it's our most active board so there will certainly be people to assist you if need be. Lots of people will be looking forward to the games you create for us in the future so be sure to keep trying hard and learning. :D It'll all pay off.

Computer Science sounds like a great thing to study though, my friend is studying it in college as well and she's struggling through the math classes. I'd never have been able to do that since I'm just awful at math, but nonetheless it's a really interesting thing to research. Have an amazing time on PokeCommunity and be sure to let the staff know if you need anything, yes?
