    I know it's an anime that is meant to be entertaining... but doesn't it seem that Ash runs into A LOT of legendary pokemon? I mean... he's seen all of them pretty much, and you never hear about anyone seeing any of them other that [instert crazy old person here] jumping out at him telling him not to go into woods/cave/under water because they saw [instert pokemon's name here]

    Just find it odd...
     
    Ash isn't an intelligent boy, whenever he sees a Pokemon of some sort, he doesn't even know what it's called half the time. He's lucky he has Dawn and Brock with him, because he wouldn't have gone this far in Sinnoh already. They also make the episodes really kiddish, so not much older people like me watch it that much.

    He see's some of the same Pokemon twice or more and he still has to look in his Pokedex for like the third time.
     
    I think they mainly did the constantly used pokedex for the little kids sake, so they don't go up to their mom/dad and be like... "What's an Oddish?"
