K-ON! discussion

K-ON! is a really really adorable series. ; u ;
I've only seen the first episode and would like an opinion
if it's worth watching more,
since the first episode was full of so much moe that it killed me xD
but it didn't really hook me well compared to anime with plots.
Then again, I hated Lucky*Star,
so I guess I probably wouldn't like the whole of K-ON! either.
The first episode was nice, and VERY VERY cute; but if I disliked Lucky*Star which looked similar at a glance, is it not worth watching more of?
Hmm.

Yui has got to be the cutest thing ever thougghh~ >\\u\\>'
She's fun to watch.
I enjoy the faces she makes.

I'm kinda iffy on this series. I love the animation (unlike most) but the characters seem pretty cliche and boring to me. :( They're trying waaaay too hard to make them all moe or whatever these new-fangled terms are. I'm watching it simply to finish it but I'm not enjoying it as much as I did at first. ;_;

What's with the new band member? :( She seems just like a Mio clone, right down to the looks.

YOU TAKE THAT BACK! YOU TAKE THAT BACK RIGHT NOW! :'(

I agree. Also, inserting her on the OP wasn't the brightest idea, in my opinion. She looks and feels completely out of place; they should have left well enough alone.

I actually liked that they put her in the OP but... I wish they'd integrated her better. Only having her profile show up and editing her into the full band view at the end of the OP seemed really rushed. :( I would've liked to see all the scenes include her. Then not showing her in the ED either had the same effect. I would've preferred an all-or-nothing approach instead. @_@ Or maybe change the OP and ED entirely so the edits wouldn't seem out of place.

I don't think Azusa is a Mio clone in any way.

It may be just me, but I see Mio as the "shy and determined" character, while Azusa is the "prodigy but timid underclassman" character. Or maybe I just have way too many archetypes defined.

shy = timid in my books. :( I think you are overclassifying.

And I could see calling them different enough if they didn't look exactly the same. Azusa is a shorter Mio with pigtails.

Eh... I meant those in different ways. Like, Mio doesn't like exposing herself or being the center of attention, which was "shy" for me. "Timid" I was thinking something like... well, Azusa seems scared or afraid to talk with her upperclassmen, somehow out of place, etc.

They're different for me okay. >:
