Rating: G ? Not realistic violence. No blood. Just bruises. No lip locking; only pecks in the cheeks. Kid safe. No swearing.

Authors Notes: Chapters 1 to 5 were written before I joined this site and I was a rubbish author. I'm just posting them so that you can understand the plot. Chapters 6 and over you may give constructive critisism to, as I am now a better writer. (I know the earlier chapters were pretty crap, don't tell me again.)

    Chapter One - It Begins...
A Pokemon song began blaring out of her PokeBall shaped clock at 7am. Charlie awoke.

She put on her favourite clothes, charged downstairs, rushed her breakfast and ran out to Prof. Oak's lab.

When she got to the lab, she saw two men talking. They looked suspicious to her, so she stayed hidden.
"You know what to do Sam," said one man to the other.
"Yeah," replied Sam, "we sneak into the lab through the back gate while that dopey professor fusses over them kids."
"You've got it." the other man said.

Charlie was shocked. Her first day as a Pokemon Trainer, and thieves planned to ruin it? She couldn't take it for much longer.

The two men walked away, plotting their strategy.
"Let's go hide," Max, the other man said, "we don't wanna' be seen by anyone."

Charlie waited until she was sure they were gone. She planned to tell Professor Oak what she had just heard.

He came walking down the brick path to the lab a few minutes later. Charlie was standing there alone to greet him.

"Hello," he said, "you're the first one here!
"Professor I-" said Charlie, but she was interrupted.
"I know, I know," he calmly said, "you want your Pokemon, don't you?"
    "OK," Charlie replied.

Charlie was shown around the lab by the professor, and looking at all those Pokemon made her totally forget what had happened before.

The pair walked into a small room with a table in the centre. Three PokeBalls were placed in small holes in the table. Charlie gazed at it.

"These PokeBalls contain the Pokemon Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle," announced Oak. "Take whichever one you like, I suppose you've spent time thinking it over."

Charlie hesitated before picking up a PokeBall. She had not thought about it much. She examined the PokeBall, it had a small fire emblem on it. One of the others had a picture of a leaf, and the other sported a water droplet.

The PokeBall in Charlie's hand opened with a flash of bright light. A Pokemon that was orange with a blazing tail appeared. A Charmander.

"Is Charmander the Pokemon that you want?" Oak asked.

Charlie nodded. She waved goodbye to Oak and left the laboratory, attaching the PokeBall to her belt.

No sooner had she left, a thick cloud of black smoke arose with a bang, and she was the only one who knew what it was...

Chapter Two - The Loss of a Lifetime
She gasped. What was the fate of Oak and the Lab? Waiting at the gate, people panicked.

The two men, Max and Sam were running in the distance. Charlie could see them, she had to stop them!

She ran down the hillside, following the Team Rocket members. They obviously hadn't seen her. They ran past the bushy trees and cowering Pokemon that hid in Route 1.
"Hey!" screamed Charlie, unable to run much further.
They turned around to see Charlie gasping for breath.
"Hey you," Max gruffly said, "y'know, I saw you earlier, about 7:30."
"Yeah," said Sam, in the same unpleasant tone, "y' idiot. Spying on us like that."
Charlie quivered. She had been seen? How? She spied on people at school loads without being seen.
"Wanna' match?" Max asked, holding up a PokeBall in a dirty right hand. Sam did the same.

Charlie had no choice to accept now. She took the PokeBall holding the untrained Pokemon that was Charmander.

Max and Sam eagerly watched her.

"I choose you! Charmander!" She threw the PokeBall, Charmander bursting out in a blast of red light.

The two men threw their balls to reveal their Pokemon. Max had a Poochyena and Sam used a Cubone.

Charlie took out her PokeDex, as she hadn?t seen either before.
"Poochyena," said the PokeDex in it's mechanical voice, " the biting Pokemon. Poochyena is an omnivore - it will eat anything. A distinguishing feature is how large it's fangs are compared to it's body. This Pokemon tries to intimidate it's foes by making the hair on it's tail bristle out. Cubone, the lonely Pokemon. Cubone pines for it's mother who it never sees. Seeing a likeness of it's mother in the full moon, it cries. The stains on this Pokemon's skull are made by the tears it sheds.

    "Poochyena! Tackle!" Max yelled.
    "Cubone! Bone Club!" ordered Sam.
    "Charmander! Scratch!" Charlie commanded.

The two stronger Pokemon ganged up on Charmander, who tried it's hardest to Scratch the others.

By the time Cubone and Poochyena had attacked, Charmander had fallen to the floor and was very weak. Max and Sam's Pokemon were about twice as strong as Charmander, and as there were two of them and one of Charlie, she knew she had no chance.

Max and Sam ran off into the distance . . .

"Return, Charmander," Charlie downheartedly said. Charmander, her first Pokemon, beaten to a pulp. Her first battle, her first loss.

Charlie walked slowly away from Pallet Town, towards Viridian City. Her hopes and dreams may one day come true, but for now, she is really upset. Could her brand new career get any worse?

Chapter Three - Back on the Winning Side
Aww. Why do I have to be such a loser? Charlie though as she headed into Viridian City.

"Attention!" yelled a voice in a loudspeaker, "We have just received news of Team Rocket members somewhere close by!"
The voice belonged to Officer Jenny, a local police officer with short blue hair.
She looked towards Charlie, running into the city.

"I know Team Rocket!" she yelled. Jenny stared. "They've just attacked my Charmander!"

"Come with me," said Jenny. She took Charlie to an abandoned shack to the edge of town. Charlie told her what had just happened in much detail.
"I'll take you to the Pokemon Centre," said Jenny. She got onto her motor bike and gestured to Charlie to join her. She hopped on the bike behind Jenny.

SCREEEEEEEEEEECH! The bike skidded to a halt outside a large building.

"Well, this is the Pokemon Centre," Jenny explained, "Why don't you go heal Charmander?"

And with that, she got onto the bike and drove off, out of site, Charlie watching in awe.

Charlie walked into the Pokemon Centre. She was greeted by yet another young woman.
"Hi, I'm Nurse Joy," she smiled.

"Can you see to my Charmander? It just lost a battle, to Team Rocket."

Joy looked worried, but nodded all the same. She took the PokeBall containing Charmander and walked towards a blue door. She then turned around.

"You'll have to go to the waiting room," she told Charlie.

She did so, she was waiting for what felt like an hour. Then Joy walked in and gave her the thumbs-up sign. Charlie breathed a sigh of relief and took the PokeBall from Joy.

"Thanks a lot Nurse Joy," said Charlie.

Joy waved her out of the door, smiling. What a nice young girl. She'll make a great Pokemon Trainer. Joy thought, and closed the door to the centre.

Again, Charlie walked along a path thinking. Phew, I'm alright. Maybe I'll go catch Pokemon, anything to take my mind off them. (Meaning Team Rocket) The path she took lead to the Viridian Forest, a place full of bug Pokemon. She wasn't scared. Bugs weren't that bad.

She wandered into the forest, looking behind trees, among tall grass, anywhere for Pokemon.

"Coo coo!" It sounded like a bird. In a nearby tree, a Pidgey was hooting.

"Go Charmander! Use scratch, now!" Charlie yelled, taking Charmander's PokeBall from her belt and throwing it. Charmander burst out and attacked the bird.

Pidgey defended itself with sand attack, but Charmander wasn't distracted. It kept on scratching, and eventually, Pidgey was weak.

"Tackle attack!" Charlie ordered the Pokemon. Charmander dashed towards Pidgey, who hovered a few inches above the dirt path. SLAM!!! and it fell.

"Go PokeBall!" Charlie yelled, throwing a spare one at Pidgey.

Pidgey was sucked into the ball, which fell to the floor and wobbled, though eventually admitting capture.

"Brilliant!" Charlie grinned, picking up the PokeBall.

She looked up. A noise was coming from the very tree that Pidgey had hooted in.

Two black blurs jumped from the tree. Charlie recognised them at once - Max and Sam!

"Whadda' you want?" Charlie asked, menacingly.
"We're here for the Pokemon," replied Sam.
"Well if you want them," Charlie said, "you're gonna' have to battle me to get 'em!"
Max nodded, and so did Sam.

They threw their PokeBalls. Poochyena and Cubone burst from them.

Charlie threw both of hers, too, from which Pidgey and Charmander sprang.

"Go!" Charlie yelled, "Charmander, use scratch on Cubone! Pidgey, use gust!" Her Pokemon did as was ordered, also attacking Max and Sam without order.
    "Cubone," Max struggled, "bone club."

Cubone threw it's bone through the gust filled battle field. Pidgey turned up it's power, the field becoming a victim of very strong winds. Cubone's bone blew back towards itself. It hit Cubone on the head and it was knocked out!

"Tackle," Sam commanded Poochyena. His Pokemon, the stronger of the two, charged through the gust, but was slowed down rapidly. By the time it got close to Charlie, it was weak from her Charmander's scratching. Poochyena jumped, but flew back into Max and Sam, knocking them over.

"Return," Charlie muttered. Her Pokemon returning to their PokeBalls. Charlie ran away from the battered Max and Sam, clutching her PokeBalls tightly in her hands.

    Chapter Four - Lost Friends
Puffing and panting after her run from Team Rocket, Charlie sat down near a lake to rest. She got a drink of water from the lake and relaxed. On the opposite side of the lake, a teenage boy sat with his Poochyena. He was fishing.

Charlie watched him for a few minutes. He'd got a bite! The boy tugged at his fishing rod. The water's surface seemed to smash. A Pokemon was on the hook!

"Tackle now!" he commanded. Poochyena knocked the Pokemon onto dry land. Poochyena howled, Poliwag, the tadpole Pokemon that he had found, cowered. Poliwag then used a Bubble attack on Poochyena. "Tackle!" and Poochyena ran towards Poliwag, who was knocked of it's feet.

"PokeBall! Go!" yelled the boy as he threw an empty PokeBall at Poliwag. Poliwag was sucked inside the ball in a bright flash of light. Inside the ball, Poliwag tried to break free. The PokeBall wobbled for a few seconds, then stayed put, as Poliwag realised it couldn't escape. "Yes!" cheered the boy.

Team Rocket were in a similar situation, but on the other side of the woods. They were dressed in jeans and t-shirts.

"PokeBall, go!" sounded a girls voice. It was coming from somewhere nearby. Max and Sam found a young, female trainer wearing a dress. Her brown hair was in two bunches.

"Hi!" said Sam, in the most cheerful voice he could manage. The girl and her Oddish Pokemon turned around. "You're a good trainer," he said
"D'y wanna' travel with us?" Max asked.
    "Okay. I'm Janine, who're you?"
"I'm Max," said Max, "and this's my best friend, Sam."

The boy turned around to face Charlie.

"What're you doin'?" he menacingly asked, walking slowly around the lake to Charlie.
"I was just watching you. You're a cool trainer!" Charlie replied.
The boys angry frown turned to a happy smile.
"Wow," he said, obviously pleased with himself, "my big sis' never stops tellin' me I'm rubbish."
"Don't worry," Charlie reassured him, "you really are good. I'm Charlie Whitmore, by the way."
"I'm Danny Jones, pleased to meet y'."
"Say, Danny," Charlie hesitated, " d'y' wanna' travel with me?"
"Sure! I get well lonely sometimes. It'll be great!"

Walking around the forest, accompanied by Janine, Max thought he saw Charlie. He stared hard at where he had seen her.
    "What'cha doin'?" Sam asked.
    "Seen that girl," Max muttered.
    "Who's 'That Girl'?" Janine questioned.
Max hesitated. Sam then pushed his friend out of the way, and told Janine that Max has a crush on a girl called Jade.

    Janine giggled.

"I'm gonna' go find her," Max said, "and don't you dare say that again!"
Max ran up a tree. He signalled for the others to follow. The three of them sat in a tree, waiting for Charlie.

A few minutes after, they spied Charlie, and were shocked to see she had company.

"That's your girlfriend?" Janine teased, "She's ugly!"

Max fumed, and muttered a very rude word to Sam.

Charlie turned around and looked at the tree where Janine and Team Rocket were sitting.

"We're in trouble," said Sam, up in the tree, "c'mon, let's go."

    Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

The three of them had jumped down from the tree and came face to face with Charlie and Danny.

"Team Rocket!" Charlie and Danny loudly moaned.

    "Aaaaaaaaaaaaa!" squealed Janine, "Team Rocket!"

Max and Sam then ran off chasing Janine.

    "Weirdo's," said Danny.
"Aren't they just?" agreed Charlie. Then she hesitated for a while. "That's strange."
    "What's strange?" asked Danny.
"I never knew Max had a girlfriend!" she laughed.

    Danny joined in laughing.

A few minuites later, the pair decided to set up camp for the night by the lake. They chatted well into the night, then dozed off into a deep sleep

"Tackle now!" he commanded. Poochyena knocked the Pokemon onto dry land. Poochyena howled, Poliwag, the tadpole Pokemon that he had found, cowered. Poliwag then used a Bubble attack on Poochyena. "Tackle!" and Poochyena ran towards Poliwag, who was knocked of its feet.

    Chapter Five - Rock Slide!
?Right,? said Charlie, ?today, we?ve gotta? get to Pewter City.?
    ?What?s the rush?? Danny asked.
?Think I like being lost?? Charlie asked.
Danny shrugged his shoulders, ?I?m always lost,? he said casually.
?Well I don?t like being lost. If you wanna? stay here, that?s fine with me!? Charlie yelled.

Danny reluctantly decided to follow her.

?Now, according to this map,? Charlie said, ?this is Pewter City.?

What the pair had actually found was a very steep mountain.

    ?What?re y? waitin? for?? Danny said, ?C?mon.?

Danny had begun to climb the mountain. Charlie knew it probably wasn?t too safe, but she thought he might have a good idea. Pewter City was probably pretty close.

No sooner than they were half way up, a huge boulder came crashing down the side of the mountain. It missed Danny by inches.

?Grab by hand,? said a man?s voice. Charlie reached out and he began to pull her to safety. The two of them were sitting on a small cliff on the mountainside.

Rocks tumbled down the mountain, some with really sharp edged that probably could have knocked the kids out.

?Come with me,? the man said.

The dark skinned man took Charlie to a Pokemon Centre. The one in Pewter City. Charlie was shocked to see Danny lying on a table, a bandage around his arm.

    ?What happened?? Charlie demanded.

?Your friend here fell down the side of Mt. Moon, he?s lucky to be alive,? Joy informed her.

?I?m glad you?re okay,? Charlie said.

?R? you two kids Pokemon Trainers?? the man questioned them.
Charlie nodded her head in reply.
?My son?s the Leader of the Pewter City Gym. Would y? be interested in a match??
?Yes please!? Charlie excitedly replied. She then turned to face Danny and said firmly, ?You?d better stay here for a bit.?

The man led Charlie to a huge building made entirely of rocks. Charlie cautiously entered. She was shocked to find Janine, Max?s supposed girlfriend having her Vulpix beaten to a pulp.

    ?Hi,? Charlie greeted her.

Janine gasped, ?Who?s there?? She then turned around. ?Oh hi Jade!? she cheerfully said.
    ?Who?s Jade?? Charlie questioned.
?I thought your name was Jade, Jade Harvey, Max?s crush, y?know?? she asked.
?No, I?m Charlie Whitmore, and I hate Max and he hates me. He is such a stinkin? liar!? Charlie fumed.

?So,? Janine continued, ?how?s everything goin? on??
?I?m okay, why?? Charlie asked curiously.
?Oh, what the hell, d?y wanna? join me on my quest?? Janine asked.
    ?Not really,? Charlie said.
    ?Why??
    ?Danny.?
    ?Who?s Danny??
?That lad I was with yesterday, he?ll probably hate y? from the start, he thinks you?re friends with Team Rocket.?
?I hate Team Rocket as much as everyone else. Anyway, where is he now??

?In the Pokemon Centre having his arm put in a sling, he fell down the side of Mt. Moon.?
?That place is so dangerous, I wouldn?t go there if my life depended on it, I?d die there anyway.?
    ?We got lost.?

?Really? Well, I?d best be goin?,? Janine finished, ?I?ll see y? around sometime.
?See y?? I shouted into the distance and waved her goodbye.

?So,? said a deep voice, ?you?re a friend of her are you? You?re likely to be pretty weak, too!?
?We?ll see about that!? Charlie shot back. She hated people insulting her, especially strangers.

Cool! If you think they're rubbish, I think the next Chapter'll be ace! They probably do have a bit to much speech in them, and not much description, but, as you say, you weren't brilliant when these were wrote.
You're only 12, aren't you? You've got great potential. If you work at it and don't give up writing, I think you may even have a small chance of becoming a professional author! (That is, if you're really 12)

Wow! You really think I have potential! (Yes, I am 12)
Praise from an adult, man that makes me feel good!
Yes, if you thought they were good, Chapter Six's better! Check out the preview in my sig. I'll always give a preview of the next Chapter, then people wanna' read it all. Heheheh!

    Max commanded, "Poochyena! Tackle!"
    Sam commanded, "Cubone! Bone Club!"
    Charlie commanded, "Charmander! Scratch!"

This was pretty much how my first chap to my fic was before I got help and fixed it up. It should be like this:
"Poochyena, use your Tackle attack!" Max commanded.
    "Cubone! Bone Club!" Sam commanded
    "Charmander! Scratch!" Charlie commanded.

You should also use more words like explained, commented, chuckled, and so on. Get creative, put more into your chapters. More Description, she can't just see a Pidgey and then immeadiately catch it. The battle needs to be harder then that, have the battles drag on more. More length, when you use more description, you will get better at this. This also goes with length, you need more paragraphs. Not two sentenced stuff. Paragraphs are 4-6 sentences. Finally, you need to give more of all of this, if you work on them then your chapters will eventually get better and better. I suggest you fix up chapter one and edit it here, and then so on. I hope I helped,
    Later.

Edit: Here are some fics that will help you, including mine that isn't as good as the rest:

I know. I wrote those Chapters before I got serious about writing. The next one's a whole lot better, I promise you.
These are also the very first fanfics I ever wrote.
Have a look at my signature and you'll see a preview of Chapter Six.
I'll try and fix the first few Chapters, too.

    Chapter Six ~ Boulder Battle
?I?m not a weakling!? Charlie roared. Her voice was full of fury for the teen who offended her. Brock was his name. He wore navy blue trainers, brown trousers and an orange top underneath a green jacket. He was dark-skinned with spiky brown hair. An intimidating look was worn on his face.

?Let?s go,? he said. ?Geodude! I choose you!?
Brock threw a PokeBall. In a bright white burst of light, a Pokemon?s outline appeared. Geodude, a Pokemon that looked more like a rock than an animal, emerged from the ball.
?Charmander, go!? Charlie shouted. Her Pokeball let loose a Charmander. It was orange, with a fiery tail and a burning desire for victory in it?s eyes.

?A fire type?? Brock sneered, ?No way!?
?It?s all I have,? Charlie whispered.

?Let?s show ?em! Use tackle attack!? commanded the gym leader. The rock like Pokemon flew threw the air towards Charlie?s Charmander head first. In a matter of seconds, Charmander lay, aching on the cold, rocky arena of the gym floor.
?Charmander, please be okay,? pleaded it?s trainer. Charlie picked Charmander up, it?s eyes did not open, however.
?Geo!? grunted the winning Pokemon proudly.

?Victory is mine,? Brock boasted. His Geodude nodded. ?Return, Geodude.? In a red burst, his Pokemon was sucked into it?s PokeBall.
?Yeah, but my Pokemon?s hurt!? Charlie shot as she was nursing Charmander.

Later at the Pokemon Centre ?

?Charmander was badly bruised,? Joy informed, ?but it should recover quickly.?
?Boy, that?s a relief,? Charlie said in relief. She sat on one of the lengthy, green benches in the centre. Beneath her feet was a light grey tiled floor. On the walls were portraits of Pokemon against the pale blue pain on the walls. Also on the wall was a loudspeaker. Charlie gazed at the portraits for a moment, admiring the beauty of the Charmander, Bulbasaur and Squirtle. Then the loudspeaker caught her attention.

?Danny Jones. Danny Jones. You may leave the centre.?
Through dual blue doors, Danny sat on the end of a white sheeted bed, a sparkle in his eyes and his arm in a sling. Light rain was beating the window near him, although the sun was shining, too.

?Where?s the badge then?? Danny asked, a grin plastered on his face. Charlie shook her head significantly. His smile faded. ?Don?t worry, Charl?. I?ve lost tons of battles, and I?ve only got one badge. But cheer up, there?s more to Pokemon training than badges. I?m not serious about badges now.?
Deep down, Charlie knew he was right. What was a thin piece of metal worth? However, she wanted to battle in the league, she had to gather badges.
?Wanna? go out?? Danny asked, trying his hardest to make Charlie cheer up and smile.
?Yeah, okay,? Charlie replied, ?it?ll take my mind off that battle. And we can have lunch, too. I saw a fish and chip shop on my way back from the gym.?
    ?Let?s go,? agreed Danny.

As they went to walk outside, Charlie ran back to the nurse. ?Please take care of Charmander, it took a right thrashing by Brock.?
?I will, you can be sure of that,? Joy nodded.

    Charlie then walked outside.
?Where?s this chip shop then?? Danny asked keenly, ?I?m starvin?!?
Charlie led the way through the bustling city streets, rain frequently splashing in puddles. It did not take long for them to dry; the sun was shining brightly as ever. Cars flashed past every few seconds. When they reached the chippy, Danny rushed in, his wallet in his free hand.
?We?ll take two extra large portions of chips!? he ordered. The fry cook had dark hair, greasy as the food in his care. The walls were tiled grey, as was the floor. The worker tipped a large amount of chips into his frying pan. It smelt delicious.
Danny took the food and paid. Danny?s mouth was watering, obviously, he hadn?t eaten for a while.

Charlie sat down on a garden-style bench outside the shop while Danny guzzled all the food.
?I?m hungry too!? Charlie yelled, grabbing the tray of chips. She ate a few, but then Danny snatched it back. ?Hey!? Charlie yelled, ?They?re supposed to be for both of us!? and she tried to grab it back. This fight went on for a few minutes. But their chips fell on to the dirty, soaking wet grass.
?No!? Danny sobbed, ?I?ll starve!? he rushed to the grass where his food had fallen, the now heavy downpour drenched him.
?Take it easy, mate,? Charlie comforted, walking towards Danny and crouching next to him. ?Why don?t we go somewhere else? Anywhere you want.?
Danny pushed her away. ?You don?t realise how hard it is to have literally starved for days!?
?Fine,? Charlie muttered, leaving him to moan. Danny?s face was now muddy, his black, shoulder-length hair dripping, his navy and white top now brown, his cast thick in mud, his jeans, heavy and soaking, his trainers, brown as the trees that surrounded the small city in which he lay, moping.

I don?t need him. Charlie thought. I can get along just fine on my own!

Charlie stormed right to the Pokemon Centre, a crimson car splashing her with mud as she made her way back.

She pulled open the pink double doors to find Danny sitting at a white table, eating a delicious looking plate of chips. He smiled and waved, embarrassed as he was, when he saw her.
?So,? Charlie said, sitting down opposite him, ?I thought you had no money!?
?Yeah, well, y? see?? Danny stuttered.
    ?Go on,? Charlie urged.
?Doesn?t matter,? Danny shook his head.

The nurse in a white and pink dress came through the doors, holding two Pokeballs.
?Oh, hi Charlie,? she smiled, ? Here?s your Pokemon, they?re all fine.?
?Thanks, Nurse Joy,? Charlie said, taking the Pokeballs from Joy.
?Would you like something to eat?? Joy offered.
    Charlie nodded.

Roughly ten minutes later, Joy?s pink Pokemon, Chansey, bounded into the room carrying a plate of chips.
?Why thank you!? Charlie smiled, taking the food.

The friends scoffed the food, staring hard into each others eyes as they did. Danny finished first. He picked up his plate and walked away swiftly, leaving Charlie sitting alone.

Just down the corridor, Danny stood talking to Joy.
?Mind if we stay the night?? he asked.
?I wouldn?t mind at all!? Joy smiled. She appeared to be an incredibly cheerful person.

Later on, at night, the children clambered up the metal staircase to the dormitory, their rucksacks swinging around their shoulders. Danny occasionally moaned when he banged his arm, still broken, but healing quickly, according to the staff.

The dorm held four sets of bunk beds, all wooden. The walls were wooden, too, so was the floor. It needed a serious makeover.

Charlie swung her black rucksack onto the floor, next to one of the beds. Danny?s grey bag was put next to Charlie?s. She climbed up the small wooden ladder to the bed above Danny?s. The sheets were a pale blue. Out of the window, she could see the tall buildings of the city, far different from her small hometown. The downpour was now only a light drizzle, the tapping of it against the window soothed her to sleep.

Much better then the first few, I can deffinatly see the difference. So your saying you started being serious with this chapter? Well, if you keep on working with it, you will get better and better. You actually have reviews something my fic here doesn't have. Though it's interesting on other sites it does...So anyways, just keep up with the description and it won't hurt looking over a few times with spellchecker. Though I didn't see anything that was spelled wrong, so your doing much better.

    Chapter Seven ~ Criminal Catastrophe!
Charlie awoke at the crack of dawn. The sunbeams shone through a large window near her bed and into her face. She moaned. Climbing down the frail, wooden ladder, she noticed that Danny was still sleeping. She pulled on her trainers and walked, steadily down the metal staircase. She pushed open the pink double doors of the Pokemon Centre and yawned.

She stepped outside onto the dirt path. A walk would do her good, and she could use some training.

?Did you hear?? a young boy asked, worrying. He was Charlie?s age. He wore jeans and a navy and white polo shirt. He had pale skin and blond hair.
    ?Hear what?? Charlie asked, confused.
?There?s been a break-in!? he explained. ?I?ll take you there if you want.?
    Charlie nodded.

The pair ran as fast as they could through the bare city streets. Obviously, very few people were awake. The cars that littered the streets weren?t there. They ran and ran and ran.

?Charlie?? Danny yawned. He?d just woken up. ?God, what?s she done now?? he muttered as he steadily and quietly walked down the stairs.

Officer Jenny was examining an area of a hi-rise building surrounded with cones and yellow tape.
?What happened here?? Charlie asked. Jenny turned around.
    ?Robbery,? she said.
?What d?they steal?? asked the boy.
?That?s the strange part,? Jenny explained, ?Nothing really valuable was stolen. A big drilling machine. Oh, and a Crocnaw that belonged to the president.?
    ?A digger?? Charlie asked.
?Yes,? nodded Jenny, ?This company dig for hot springs up in the mountains. But it wouldn?t be of any value to anyone else.?
Charlie thought for a minute. What would anyone want with digger and a Crocnaw? The boy who was with her was thinking too. It didn?t make sense.

?I?m Ben, by the way,? the boy said as they walked back to the Pokemon Centre.
?My name?s Charlie,? Charlie replied, ?Pleased t? meet y?.?

The roads now had a few cars driving on them, they must be going to work. However, the thick fog that surrounded the pair made it impossible to see much more. The bright morning sun shone through the fog. The streets were lined with terraced houses and shops. Soon enough, the Pokemon Centre came into sight. Ben pushed open the doors, Charlie followed him in.

    ?Where?ve you been?? Danny asked.
?To the scene of a crime,? Charlie answered, coolly and truthfully.
?And who are you?? Danny asked Ben, a hint of suspicion in his voice.
?Ben Anderson, I met Charlie in the street,? he explained.
?Danny Jones,? Danny said, standing up and shaking Ben?s hand.

On the Pokemon Centre?s red, circular roof, sat two strange looking men. One was tall with black, tangled hair and green eyes. The other was an inch or two shorter with short, red hair and brown eyes. Both the men wore long sleeved tops that were bright red, with white sleeves. A black letter ?R? was in the centre of their tops. Their trousers were black and wide legged. Their shoes were red trainers with black laces.

Charlie, Danny and Ben were talking about their Pokemon as they walked out of the door.
?I?ve got a Squirtle,? Ban said, ?and a Kakuna too. I got Squirtle from Professor Oak in Pallet.?
?Really?? Charlie asked. ?I got my Charmander from him, then I caught a Pidgey in the forest.?
?I?ve got a Poochyena, a Poliwag and a Geodude,? Danny said, ?I?ve been a trainer for ages.?

After they took a few steps outside, a large net surrounded them. It was thrown from above. The three trainers looked at each other in confusion.

Two figures jumped from above them. They landed a few meters in front of them.

?Prepare for trouble!? yelled one of them. It was the man with messy black hair.
?And make it double!? added the redhead.
?We put the Earth in devastation!?
?We?ll soon rule the people of our nation!?
?To announce the evils of greed and love!?
?Before we blast off to the stars above!?
?Max!? shouted the man with dark hair.
    ?Sam!? the redhead shouted.
?Surrender to Team Rocket, be it day or night!?
?If you refuse, we?ll defeat you in a fight!?
It was Max and Sam! Two Team Rocket agents who Charlie and Danny were pretty familiar with.

?Never heard that before, have you?? Charlie asked Danny as she tried to rip the net. Danny, who was trying to bite through the net, shook his head. Ben was trying to rip through, too.

?No,? Max said, ?We never got the chance to introduce you to our motto before, have we??
?I love it!? Sam cheered, ?Team Rocket rule!?
?I wouldn?t waste your energy on that,? Max said, totally ignoring the antics of his team mate. ?That net?s totally unbreakable!?

?Come out, Charmander,? Charlie said to her Pokeball, letting it drop onto the floor. A red flash came from the ball and Charmander, an orange Pokemon with a flaming tail, was released. ?I bet their stupid net?s not fire proof,? Charlie muttered. ?Use Ember attack, Charmander!? Her Charmander took in a deep breath before spitting flames towards Team Rocket. Sure enough, the net burnt to a crisp, as did Max and Sam! The three stood up, laughing as their enemy ran into the distance, their uniforms ablaze.

?Bet it was them who stole the digger,? Charlie said, coming back to her sensed. Immediately, the other two stopped laughing and nodded. She took her rucksack from her back and put it down. Charlie rummaged around in her bag, she took out a phone and dialled 999. ?Hello, it?s Charlie, I met you this morning. Anyway, I think I know who stole the digger and the Pokemon.?
?Really? Who do you suspect?? asked Jenny, who was still investigating the crime.
?Max and Sam. They?re two Team Rocket agents. One?s tall with dark, messy hair, the other?s shorter, with red hair. You?ll probably see them soon, they?re here now.?
?Thanks,? Jenny said, and ended the call.

?Well, ? said Danny, ?What do we do now??
?We go help her, silly!? Ben insisted.
    ?Right,? agreed Charlie and Danny.

The three of them ran through the now bustling city streets. Fog was still preventing them from seeing very far ahead, but Ben led the way. He and Charlie had an idea of where to go.

The scene was now packed with people, mostly the workers, asking Jenny various questions. She looked very annoyed by now.

?Hey! Jenny!? Charlie yelled, pushing through the crowd. Ben and Danny did the same, ?Have y? caught Team Rocket yet??
?No, not yet,? Jenny replied. ?What do they want with a drill??
?Beats me,? said Danny, who had now made his way to the front and was standing next to Charlie.

An evil laugh stopped the chatter. The crowd turned around It was Max and Sam! And they had the digger!

?Who do you think you are!? Jenny commanded, ?Do you two know I could put you in jail for this??
?Yes,? nodded Max, ?That?s why we?re bringing it back.?
    ?No way!? Ben yelled.
?What about the Crocnaw?? Danny shouted.
?So sorry, it got lost!? Sam laughed.
    ?I bet not,? Charlie muttered.
?I know you?ve got it, so give it back!? Jenny ordered.
?Not without a fight!? shouted Max, who was now holding a Pokeball in his dirty hand.
?You?ve got it!? shouted Charlie. She took the two Pokeballs from her belt. Ben took his two and Danny removed three.

?Go!? they all shouted, throwing all the Pokeballs they had. Out of Charlie?s Pokeballs, her Charmander and Pidgey appeared in a flash. A Poochyena, a Poliwag and a Geodude burst from Danny?s and a Squirtle and Beedrill emerged from Ben?s.

Team Rocket quivered at the sight of all the Pokemon with expressions of anger for them on their faces. However, Max and Sam remained strangely calm.
?Go!? they both shouted. But Max now had two Pokeballs, not just one. In a white blast, Sam?s Cubone appeared alongside Max?s Poochyena. But a third Pokemon, Crocnaw, appeared, too.

?You lied to me!? Jenny shouted.
?Yes, so what?? Max asked coolly. ?We?re Team Rocket, we do what we want. Now Crocnaw, use Water Gun!?
The blue and yellow Pokemon stared at him. What was wrong? Then, Crocnaw?s mouth opened. It squirted out a huge amount of water ? at him and Sam! Team Rocket flew backwards into the air.

?We?re blasting off!? they yelled, as they soared through the misty sky.

The citizens all cheered and clapped hands with each other. The digger, that lay just meters away, was collected by Officer Jenny and returned to it?s rightful owner.

?Oh Crocnaw! I?m so glad you?re okay!? cried a man in his twenties. ?Thanks for getting rid of those people!?
?Being a Pokemon Trainer?s so great at times like this,? Danny whispered, as he looked up at the morning sun.

Chapter Eight ~ Boulder Badge Blast!
Charmander?s mouth opened and flames were fired out onto the Rattata that it was battling in the shrubbery that surrounded Pewter City. The Rattata was hit by the flames. It tried to withstand, but Charmander was the stronger.
?Yeah! Alright!? Charlie cheered as Charmander won the battle. The Rattata wasn?t badly hurt, however.

Charlie walked around, in search of other Pokemon to battle. She had to do some serious training if she was ever going to defeat Brock, the Pewter Gym Leader.

?Mank!? cried a voice. Charlie turned to see a Mankey standing on the branch of a tree.
?Mankey aren?t tree-dwellers, if I recall correctly,? Danny informed.

Pidgey flew from nearby, and the other Pokemon ran or crawled away at Mankey?s cry. The Pokemon sulked, and sat on the tree branch. It looked so lonely, it almost seemed a shame to battle it. Mankey rapidly turned around when it heard Danny speak. It yelled aggressively.

?If you want a fight, you?ve got it!? Charlie said. ?Charmander, Scratch attack!? Charmander ran up to Mankey, who had jumped from the tree. It attempted to scratch Mankey?s face with it?s sharp claws, but Mankey jumped and used a Low Kick attack. Charmander fell to the ground. Charmander was bruised, but it sprung to it?s feet anyway.
?Try Ember,? Charlie suggested, and watched as flames formed in Charmander?s mouth. The flames were fired. Mankey held it?s stomach in pain as it was pelted with fire. Mankey fell to the ground, burnt and bruised.
?Pokeball, go!? she yelled. Charlie took a Pokeball from my pocket and threw it at the Mankey. The Pokeball opened and sucked in Mankey. It shook on the ground a few times before staying put. ?Alright!? she yelled, running to pick up the ball. ?I caught Mankey!?
    ?Charmander, char!? Charmander chimed in.

Danny held a frying pan over the fire he had lit. Six small red bowls lay on the grass. Pokemon food filled them.
?Alright, guys, time for lunch!? Danny yelled, turning away from the fire and throwing his Pokeballs.
?It?s finally time to eat!? shouted Charlie, who threw the Pokeballs containing Pidgey and her new Pokemon, Mankey. Charmander was already sitting at one of the dishes, enjoying the food.
?Who wants beef burgers?? Danny asked, holding up two plates.
?Me!? Charlie said, rushing over and grabbing one of the plates. Danny sat down with the other plate on his lap.
?Poliwag, c?mon here,? he asked in between biting his burger. Danny?s blue and white tadpole Pokemon hopped towards him. ?Use your Water Gun,? he said. A light sprinkle of water came from Poliwag?s mouth, putting out the fire. It was a perfect day. The skies were clear and the sun, bright and shining. Nothing could possibly go wrong!

Charlie took out her PokeDex as she ate.
?Mankey, the Pig Monkey Pokemon,? it informed in it?s emotionless voice, ?Mankey are quick to anger and are usually short tempered.?
?Wow, that explains why it wanted to battle me,? Charlie realised. ?Hey, I wonder why it was so lonely.?
    ?Who knows,? Danny replied.

All the plates and dishes were soon cleared. Charlie collected them up and Poliwag helped wash them. Danny put them back in his rucksack.

Charlie stood up all of a sudden. Danny and the Pokemon all stared at her. Charlie had a fist in front of her face, which held a look of determination.
?I?m gonna? battle Brock again today!? she announced. Danny gasped in shock, and the Pokemon made noises of exclamation.
?You told me how bad it was last time,? Danny said, ?What makes you think you?ll win??
Charlie made no reply. She recalled her Pokemon. Grinning, she marched off. Danny?s Pokemon were also recalled.
?Hey, wait up!? he yelled, running behind Charlie to the Pewter Gym.

The mechanical doors closed behind Charlie and Danny. The building was in near darkness.
?What makes you so sure you can win this time?? asked a menacing male voice coming from the back of the room. The lights were turned on, she could now see it was Brock.

?Go, Mankey!? she yelled, throwing a Pokeball. Her newest Pokemon emerged from it when it hit the floor and opened.
?Geodude, go!? yelled Brock. In a flash, his rock Pokemon appeared.
?Use Low Kick, Mankey,? ordered Charlie. Mankey ran quickly up to Geodude. Geodude moved side-to-side, but Mankey was to fast. Mankey?s foot lifted from the ground and kicked Brock?s Pokemon in it?s face. Geodude moaned and fell to the rocky gym floor. Brock gasped.

?Yay! We did it!? Charlie cheered. Mankey ran up to her.
?This match isn?t over,? Brock warned, ?You?ve still got one tough Pokemon to beat. Go!?
His other Pokeball flew into the air and a massive Pokemon appeared. Even Charlie quivered a bit. ?Meet Onix,? Brock smiled. The snake-like Pokemon roared. Mankey hid behind Charlie?s back.
?Mankey? Don?t be afraid, please!? she begged, ?I believe in you.? She picked up her Pokemon and put it in the arena in front of her. Mankey?s facial expression toughened.
?Now Mankey, use Low Kick again!? commanded Charlie.
?Onix, Bind!? Brock ordered. The small Mankey was no match as Onix picked it up in it?s tail and squeezed it as hard as it could. Charlie could hear Mankey?s struggling moan. What should she do?

Then she noticed something. A crack was forming on the floor. It spread across the room, then CRASH!! Onix had fallen through the floor into a tunnel. Out of it, however, climbed Team Rocket. They were puffing and panting. Charlie, Danny and Brock ran up to see what had happened, but all they heard was the Team Rocket motto:

    ?Prepare for trouble,?
    ?Make it double!?
?We put the Earth in devastation!?
?We?ll soon rule the people of our nation!?
?To announce the evils of greed and love!?
?Before we blast off to the stars above!?
    ?Max!?
    ?Sam!?
?Surrender to Team Rocket, be it day or night!?
?If you refuse, we?ll defeat you in a fight!?

?What are you doing?? Brock threatened.
?Stealing your Onix! What?s it look like, losers?? Max shot back, yelling in Brock?s face.
?You have some nerve! Stealing from a Gym Leader!?
    ?Shut it!?
    ?No, you shut it!?

They went on arguing for a good while.

?Well if you?re foolish enough to pick a fight with a Gym Leader, let?s go!?
?No,? interrupted Charlie, ?I?ll battle them. C?mon, Mankey!?
As Charlie turned around, she saw Mankey lying on the floor. ?Guess we lost,? she muttered. Taking a Pokeball from her black belt, she yelled, ?Go, Charmander, Ember now!?

Flames formed in Charmander?s mouth. Max and Sam looked pale. ?Go!? they both shouted, sending their Poochyena and Cubone to battle for them. Their Pokemon jumped towards Charmander, who now had it?s attack ready. Flames flew from Charmander?s throat and singed the two opposing Pokemon to a crisp!

?Onix! Show them out of here!? Brock ordered. Onix?s huge rocky tail swung Max and Sam?s way, sending them and their Pokemon through the roof.

?We?re blasting off again!? they yelled as they flew through the skies.

Brock held out his dark hand. His fist opened to reveal a gleaming badge in the shape of an octagon. It was a shadowy grey.

?But I didn?t win, I don?t deserve that,? Charlie said, fairly, turning to Danny, who was standing next to her. He nodded. ?But-?
?Take it,? Brock pushed. ?You totally thrashed my Geodude. ? and those losers,? he added.
?Well,? Charlie hesitated. Then she took it from Brock?s hand and pinned it onto her rucksack. ?Thanks, Brock,? she said, shaking hands with him.

Charlie and Danny strolled down a dirt path, the sunset above them following Charlie?s unusual match. Heading towards Mt. Moon again, Danny noticed a sign.

It read: ?Janine woz ere! Charlie + Danny r losers!?

?What is it with her?? Danny muttered as Charlie walked on. ?She was alright when we met in the forest. Wonder what?s gotten into her?? Then he noticed that Charlie was way ahead of him. ?Wait up!? he yelled, waving at her. It was probably best not to tell.

And so, their adventure leads them to Mt. Moon. What new Pokemon will await them there?

It's my turn to critasize now. :p You just need to stop having Team Rocket coming in every chap, and try to put more into each chapter to get it more lengthy. Here are some mistakes I found. I think they were in the last chapter you did.

It tried to withstand, but Charmander was the stronger.

It should be but Charmander was the stronger one.

?Try Ember,? I suggested, and watched as flames formed in Charmander?s mouth.

Ugly tense change here. First you were saying Charlie then I, you need to change it either way. Now to go and post my next two chapters of my fic,
    Later.

Why not? I like having Team Rocket in every Chapter! (Well, I'm not writing more Gym Battle one's with them in, but the other Chapters will.) Sorted out the tense change. It's probably 'cos I used to write fanfics in first person. I got bored of it, this is my first 'fic writing in third person, that must be it...

Because people will get bored with it, like people who read this and don't reply. Trust me, one of the things of being one of the reviewers of SPPF for a long time with a know account makes you know stuff. Like what people want with fics and what they don't want. I learned that after a while and wrote better chaps because of it.
