Is anyone else getting the second strategy guide? As it's coming out on the 27th in America, I was wondering if anyone is actually getting it since its just as expensive as the first one.

I'm going to be getting it even though I have to wait until the end of May (UK) for it, as it's got the National Pokedex in it, so for me it'll be useful to have on hand, for me to use.

well to be honest it has to come to australia wen i purchase mine but i know a heap about the kanto region in HG/SS anyway so yer there is no point really in the kanto stratergie so yer but im still buying it coz i need to find out some stuff

Yeah, Pokemon must be getting a lot of money though, as in a way there just splitting a guide in half.
It won't really affect me however as I've got a couple of games that I'll be trading in, so I'll be getting mine for more-a-less nothing.

Also, I'm wondering if it'll include in the Pokedex where to get the Pokemon in Platinum and some of the other GBA games. If so then it'll be quite good value for money in a way.

    EDIT:
I've decided against getting it, as I'm getting on fine without using my first one and for the pokedex, I'll just use the internet/ipod app. Certainly a cheaper way of doing it

I got the first volume, but now I don't feel like I need it at all anymore. I mean, the first volume was really helpful, but for the Kanto part, I feel like I could just go search it on Google... You know what I'm saying? =/

Sorry, but the Kanto Guide owns. Really. The main features are the Kanto walkthrough and the National Pokedex, with locations for all of the Gen IV games, level-up movesets, tutor movesets, BP movesets, TM/HM movesets, Egg movesets, base stats, and of course, evolutions. But the guide also has EV training guides, backwards and forwards lookups for pokemon via moves, types, etc. It also has a list of combos, and... ok I'll stop now. Basically, it's the Gen IV pokebible, replacing even the Platinum guide in its usefulness. Skip the Johto guide and get this one.

I am going to get it just because I am currently using the Johto guide to get EVERYTHING and do EVERYTHING in Johto before moving on to Kanto, I would like to do the same there, so I will get the guide.

Already got it. Personally, I don't feel like it was worth the extra cash I had to shell out for it, and I feel that both Johto and Kanto should have been in the same guide together. It was a decent guide though, and I personally like the feeling of having the guide whenever I need it.

Well, to tell the truth, they made 2 guides because they ran out of room in the first one. Thanks to all the content, they could not fit it all in the maximum page limit, hence why they made 2. I have already seen both of them at a local best buy, and the Kanto Guide contains a Poke'dex section as well.

But I am not getting it. Mainly because of the price. You paid $40 for the game, and to get the complete guide its another $40. I'll just use player-created walkthroughs.

Hmm... I've just read BleuVII's post. I may change my mind when it comes out on the 30th of May in Britain. Plus I do have some games to trade in which, when added together equals to about £15.
It does seem to have quite a lot in it, so yeah I might get it and sell my Platinum guide. Also I don't get EV training and that so it might be able to explain it to me.
    But still undecided, so...

Just a hint. If price is the main factor, you can get it off of Amazon for 50-70% of its actual price.

Kanto is SOOO straight forward though, why would you need a guide? And if you do, whats wrong with Seribii or Psypokes?

yeah, Romania NEVER has guides ... :(
I HARDLY got my game (really expensive too) . Look up on GameFAQs / Serebii and note it/print it . A lot easier and cheaper ! :)

I've been told by GAME that Volume 2 is out on Monday over here (Ireland).
That means UK and possibly the rest of Europe should be getting it around the same time.
