^It's a known fact that's who they're named after yo.

Hitmonchan may not equal Jackie Chan, but he certainly is based on him.

Anyways I haven't obtained mine yet since I haven't gotten around to it..

Here the inspiration of hitmonchan is based off of a japanese world champion boxer, Hiroyuki Ebihara (Ebiwalar). While it is speculated that hitmonchan english name is based off of Jackie chan there is no confirmation from Nintendo. (find me some proof)
hitmonchan's names also include French: Tygnon - Ty is for Mike Tyson, and gnon (thump).
So yes while Hitmonchan's NAME is loosly based on famous fighters its design is completely original and doesn't look like Jackie chan in any way.

I wasn't referring to what he looks like. Because in that case, Primeape isn't based off a primate, he's based off a puffball. See how stupid that sounds?

Hitmonchan's name is what I'm referring to. As for proof, I'll let you do the honors ;)

I think the orginal one I got was Hitmonchan. Can't remember.

I would say Hitmontop is based of Chuck Norris.

Himonorris just don't sound right.

I evolved mine into Hitmonchan.

I'll get more if I want Hitmonlee and Hitmontop later too.
But for now, Iron Fist + Focus Punch and other punches are really nice.

For some reason, I think Hitmontop is based on a spinning top. ;)

I don't think I evolved mine. I can't even remember if I even got it. xD I would have either evolved it into Hitmonchan or Hitmonchop. Both are pretty cool. :)

By the time you're able to do this, I already have a full team assembled, so I don't really want to bother getting the little guy. But the few times I have, I went with Hitmontop since it's my favorite of the three Tyrogue evolutions.

He's deep inside Mt. Mortar. The cave kinda place next to Ecrteak. I know you'll need Flash, and I think you need Surf, Rock Smash, and Strength. I haven't done the cave in so long though, so I could be wrong and/or outdated. I haven't even done it on HGSS at all.
