    [PokeCommunity.com] Katekyo Hitman Reborn

Nowadays, mafia world is ruled by Italian's strongest family, the Vongola. Vongola's current head, ninth in the row, is an old man ready for retirement. But before he can hand down his position, he needs help from a professional Hitman to prepare the next generation Boss for ruling over Vongola and mafia world itself.

Sawada Tsunayoshi is just your ordinary teenage boy who attends Junior High and sucks at it. He is unpopular, has no friends and is desperately in love with a girl from his class. But his life takes an extraordinary turn when Tsunayoshi meets Reborn, an infamous hitman, who has been sent by ninth boss of Vongola to train Tsunayoshi for his upcoming title.

The above is a summary written by the Katekyo Hitman Reborn! FC.

Has anyone watched or read Hitman Reborn? Thoughts on the series? Did you watch the manga, read the anime, or both? While the anime stayed quite true to the manga, is there anything you didn't like about the anime and wished were different? Discuss!

^ thanks for the input, at least honesty is the best policy.

I liked the manga, and I didn't mind the anime. It's been a while since the anime's been out so the animation gap could make people who rewatch the series a little confused when suddenly theres this much nicer or worser animation

@lappy - much better than K-On, SAO, Elfen Lied, Infinite Stratos and Guilty Crown, still.

I liked the future arc. It was great. Then I migrated to manga. Art was great but the ending was one of the worst endings ever. Super crappy. Anime was good. Only the future arc and the arc where they battle for the seat of tenth were good, though. Others were mostly decent.

Nothing can top ALO in SAO and the entirety of elfen lied or guilty crown's episodes after episode 12 for me in the 'suck' department. You're being too hard on it, lappy.

    ALO>SAO

In retrospect I agree that Elfen Lied isn't very good. I still like the manga ending though and the anime had a great opening song.

Guilty Crown was great fun watching weekly, especially the second half.

All of them are better than a boring, badly written shounen where the powerlevels are decided by popularity polls. I think there were maybe 2 likeable characters in the show, Lal Mirch and the boxing dude. The main character is still as beta in the last chapter as he is in the first. No romantic closure whatsoever. Also regarding the anime, the filler was probably the most entertaining part.

Only good thing in it was the first round of fights after the awful comedy arc finished.

Well, my opinion is different than yours^, I suppose. xD; I was hooked on the series for about two years and was very upset when it ended. Though looking back I wasn't fond of how nearly every female in the series was useless to an extent; Kyoko, Haru, and I-Pin did nearly nothing, Lal was incapacitated early after being introduced, Bianchi didn't have any roles (especially after the future arc), and Chrome couldn't fight well without Mukuro's aid (though that slowly started to change in later manga chapters).

Other than that, I liked the story heaps! Would have loved to see the later manga arcs animated.
