Keeping your Pokémon

So, this came up to me a while back. I'd love to have some kind of storage game or a website/program where you could store your Pokémon. I personally always have some kind of bond with the Pokémon I use and even if I won't ever use them again, I want to be able to look back through my Pokémon collection and be like, oh, that Aipom, had some fun times with that one. Or just look through some of the teams I've used. And I don't mean every single Pokémon I've ever caught, just all the ones I've had on my team and stuff.

I know there was this Pokémon Ranch game for the Gamecube, but that was just for the GBA games.

Right now, I have two pokémon games I use, HeartGold and Black. Whenever I restart my HeartGold game, I transfer all my important Pokémon on it to Black, using Black as a storage. That means I can't restart Black cause I'd lose all my Pokémon. If there was some kind of storage, I could restart Black as well, cause right now I'm using ROMs for that and I'd prefer playing Pokémon on a handheld, rather than on PC.

So how/where, if at all, do you store your Pokémon? Is there any way to store my Pokémon other than on one of my games (like I do on Black)?

    Edit:
I've been doing some more research, the closest I can get is this website called pokécheck (not sure if I can post URLs). Which would do, I think. There are some rumours going around about a new pokemon box/pokemon ranch game as well, which would be quite awesome... Discuss!

Ranch is for the Wii, and is compatable with Gen 4. There was a Gamecube game that served as a storage for RSE, though. Assuming the trend continues, there'll be one for Gen 5 as well.

I don't keep enough Pokemon to fill even a fourth of my PC space, so I'm awwright, but an online-based storage system would be pretty nifty if they could make it work.

I don't keep enough to take up all the PC space, just what I want or need. So I have no need for external storage games. I just use one game per generation for storing Pokemon, since I usually end up with a second copy of something. So yeah I have no problem storing Pokemon like, on an extra copy of White or whatever.

Don't think I'd use Pokecheck for storing my Pokemon though. If you're gonna do that, make sure they're set to private and not public.

I got ranch just for the heck of it. I wanted to see my retired pokemon just having fun and relaxing. I don't use up all of my boxes in game. I've come close but that was only because of breeding. If I need space I just free pokemon with natures that I don't need. I've even let a couple of shinies go free if they had bad natures and horrible iv's.
