Using candy to power up your Pokémon is usually a rewarding process, but it can often feel a lot less rewarding when certain Pokémon only go up 7 CP per level compared to others going up 40+ CP at once. Usually unevolved Pokémon will gain considerably less CP per candy then their evolved counterparts, but will gain CP upon evolving relative to how high their CP was beforehand. With this in mind and from your experiences, do you prefer to power up a Pokémon before evolving it to gain better CP yields from evolving, or do you wait until a Pokémon has evolved in order to start feeding them candy at higher CP per candy rates? Which method do you think yields a higher overall CP value for the amount of candy used?
