a lot to cover here
After hitting upon a similar version of this topic on SPP, I've concluded that it's not the ratings decline that's forcing Pokémon off of KidsWB, but of many complex things, including FCC content regulations.
While this post may have some vague language (especially regarding programming content regulations), remember that this is coming from someone who regularly visits and posts on a broadcasting message board.
While a real shocker indeed, I won't miss it since the show has become virtually unwatchable since Master Quest.
As a major move by TimeWarner, this is yet another example of corporate mentality screwing over consumers, not to mention entrenched politically correct federal programming regulations which say which can and cannot be shown over radio frequency terrestrial airwaves.
I'm now going to comment on the previous posts in this thread.

We must not forget MyNetworkTV is soon to be started, which means either they OR NBC could get the rights to Pokemon.
I seriously doubt MyNetworkTV would run a children's programming block, and I'd more than betcha that the Pokémon anime wouldn't be suitable on the big three networks at all.
Disney May Want Pokemon But I Could Not See An Anime Show Mix In With So Called "Disney Comedys", I Mean That Channel Isnt Exactly Anime Or Any Thing To Do With Action Friendly.
Like I said after the previous quote, the anime wouldn't suit any of the major networks, and in this case, let alone try to fit in with their dorky comedies. "That's So Raven" = barf.
In conclusion, the anime would become yet another CN-only show, assuming that TimeWarner refuses to let go of exclusive broadcast-exhibition rights to allow it to return to syndication.
BTW, speaking of the big three networks, did any ABC, NBC, or CBS affiliates run Pokémon when it was in synidcation?

I highly doubt the Disney channel would get the rights to Pokemon, unless they wanted to air it on Toon Disney, but even then it seems like very low chance of that happening. It just doesn't fit with the show they normally get (with the exception of Digimon).
I read someone on SPP saying that it would cause anti-trust concerns, which doesn't make much sense since federal regulators are allowing mergers out of nowhere that would otherwise be blatant monopolies, for example, SBC's buyout of AT&T, thereby resurrecting Ma Bell, which is expecting to swallow BellSouth.

William Hanna must be rolling in his grave.
Thanks Turner for screwing over the Hanna-Barbera properties. Good Job. *annoyed*

Well I don't think it will be limited to cable TV.
With today's harsh regulatory climate, I'd say it will be cable-only.
Finally, on the flip side of the programming replacements, I am looking forward to seeing Tom & Jerry and Scooby return to the over-the-air broadcasts again.
