I know its constuctive but i only see one light source and i think it looks great the way it is :)
well i hav bad eyes anyways lol

EDIT- Hey kitty face why not try out some trainers?(im not really into putting new pokemon in hacks unless they are truly different not saying urs arent tho!)

Mostly because I don't think I'd do a very good job at it. ^_^; Not freehand, anyway, and that's what I'm focusing on. I'll give it a shot, though. xP
 
Actually, the fact is, I don't do a good job of editing them. XD; I find it easier to freehand and do the colouring and everything myself than I do to take an image and alter the colours.

So freehand it is! And I've already started. :3
 
Those spirits are really good, you did a great job.. probably 10/10 for a rating.
 
o i just thot of what u could do to that new one

that one make his head a lil bigger so it overlaps the top of his body then it wont look deformedish!(its head looks like it behind its body)
 
*sigh* You're right.. I'll probably need to do some editing to it.. or I may just scrap it.. I don't know yet. But before I try another trainer sprite I'll need to do some editing to the Pokemon you pointed out.. not only the head now, but maybe a few pixel changes to the tail as well. :3

Thanks for your suggestions/comments/encouragement guys, if you have any ideas for new Pokemon that you don't mind me using, just send me a PM or post and I'll see if I can draw it (cos I'm not that good XD).
 
For your free hand trainer sprite, it only needs a few simple adjustments to be more pokemon'ish.

-try darkening the outlines
-contrast the hair tones more
-increase all the hair tone's saturation
-darken the shorts shadow tones
-shift the left (<) lower leg to the right (>) 2-3 pixels and straighten it out
-thin the upper left (<) arm by 1 pixel (its a bit fat)

I apologize if this sounds harsh ^^U, if you can try it, you will improve alot =D. Also if any of it doesn't make sense I could do a step by step (using your image) to explain it better. Doing original sprites takes alot of guts, so my hats off to you for trying...if i had a hat that is ^^U.

Not bad at all for your first scratch trainer. The major problem I see, is that the left leg is odd looking. Almost like the leg is broken. Pretty good though for your first try!! XD
