kohei and watercolours

I actually never use watercolours before (in oekaki), since I ususally colour my pics like this:

(btw, this is an oc from a Japanese site)


And yesterday, I finally decided to colour an oekaki using watercolours.
It didn't come out quite as I expected, and I need some advice and comments please.

Yay, watercolours! ^_^ Those are what I use to colour my oekaki pics. :)

That's a very nice pic you've got there, kohei! I like the concept of Jasmine and Magnemite together. :) You asked for C&C, so here we go! ^_^
The first thing I notice is that the watercolour lines are a bit sketchy. The best way to avoid this is to use the bezier tool to outline your pictures and to keep going over the same line until it becomes darker. :) This is usually how I outline my watercolour pics ^^

The colouring is also a little sketchy in places like Jasmine's hair and on the Magnemite - try using a smaller brush and filling in the area with a solid colour, and then painting other colours on top of it so that no white shows through. :)

But I definitely think you have a solid start here, and this is very good for a first attempt at watercolours! *hugs* Keep it up, kohei! ^_^

They are very nice, but I think that you should work on the lines a bit, make them one single, a bit thicker outline ^.^

I sometimes try using the bezier tool myself, but I can never quite get the hang of it. As for the tip on colouring, I'll keep that in mind, thanks.

I could never draw straight lines with my mouse, so my lines always tends to get sketchy and not one single line. Anyway, thanks.
