Bought pokemon diamond and pearl (both games) off ebay.
Got here and glad to see the games were genuine.

The pokedexs seem to be completed (no gym badges obtained though).

From what i've read they could be hacked.
Although mew sais "mstry" as OT, jirachi and the blue egg seam to be authentic from what i've read in the threads also.

Im tempted not to bother starting the game over seeing as some (maybe all) of the pokemon are genuine from what the sticky thread on how to tell sais.

Will this affect my game if I keep the save?
Would you keep it or delete it?

    Thanks
    Richard

EDIT: Oh and after looking all the items are there too, tms/hms/berrys/pokeballs/eventickets

Yeah thats sounds hacked alright.i say just start your new game.would'ant worry bout the pokemon in that game because there hacked.i would'ant keep em

I'd do a factory reset instead of just starting a new game and saving over the old file...

Up + B + Select on the menu screen i believe

yeh I agree with Yashiro. that definately sounds hacked. you should start over fresh and go on with the new game. its more fun that way anyways.

may as well just start it over. this game has a pretty intriguing story that is worth experiencing

and if the pokemon are hacks, you shouldnt keep it because no one likes hacks

Ok guys, thanks for your replys!

I've decided to start over from scratch.

BUT keep all the special event tickets because I dont see myself getting round to traveling to japan and america to see them again!

Lets hope its a good game!! :D

    Thanks,
    Richard

You shouldn't start a new game just cause someone hacked it...

Whys that?... meh.. already restarted now anyways.
I dont realy see the point in cheating.

But I think keeping the tickets is fair... I paid for the game... but yet they expect me to travel to the other side of the world to access like 0.01% of it?... that'll be right! ;)

    Richard

the events are obtainable through wifi!

Are the events really obtainable through Wi-Fi? If so, then how do you get into one? And how do you know if an event is currently going on?

Onto the topic, I say you should start a new game. Trust me, the game is a lot more fun when you start playing with a new fresh start.
