I want to be a dragon pokemon trainer. I want an effective dragon team that is really strong agaisnt my friends and in the game.
So far this is my line up.
    KindraLv.48
    LatiosLv.70
    SalamenceLv70
    RayquazaLv.71

What i need help with is two other pokemon, i was thinikig of dragonite and charizrd even though he's not a dragon, but hey lance uses garydos which is worst.

Now what i have problem i need a good set of moves for each one. I want to make a powerful team that can knock out pokemon effectvily.

Please help me recommend moves for each of my pokemon. i have all the tm's and i have acces to ruby, leaf green, saphire, and collosium.
    thanks in advance :rambo:

Flygon is cool over charizard but, you probably want something not 4x weak to ice

so go with Charizard or Gyrados

    Charizard is better in Game

Its worse not worst. Its a comparison between 2 objects.

keep kingdra..important there, since all other dragon pokemon are either 2x or 4x weak to ice.
    Kingdra[modest]@leftovers
    surf
    ice beam
    rain dance
    toxic/rest/HP grass

The main problem here, is helping out other swift swimmers which would most definitely have ice beam on their movesets.

    Salamence[+Sp,-Def]
    EVs - SpAtt,Sp,Att,hp
    fire blast
    dragon dance
    earthquake
    HP flying

Since Ice Demon gave movesets for those, I will give some for the others. :p

Latios @ Soul Dew 252 sp att, 252 spd, Timid
    Psychic
    Ice Beam
    Recover
    Thunderbolt

Rayquaza...? EW But if you must..
    Aerial Ace
    Extreme Speed
    Earthquake
    Overheat

Don't use Dragonite. You already have Salamence and Rayquaza both 4x weak to ice.

I guess I'd suggest to use BOTH Gyarados and Charizard.

    Charizard@White herb
    Overheat
    Belly Drum
    Aerial Ace
    Earthquake

    Gyarados@Lum Berry
    Dragon Dance
    Earthquake
    HP Fly
    Taunt

I like how both of you used HP: Flying in your movesets for an in-game team

the only reason Gyrados is worse in-game is due to lack of stab

In game doesn't mean no HP flying. You can get it if you breed for it. And he didn't mention that he can't get it, so gg. If he says it now, then too bad.

What are the chances of a HP Flying power 70 on anything?

The just replace it with aerial ace.
Not that much of a brain teaser is it?

    lol

Lol you bunch of cheap, cheap players.

A dragon team means a DRAGON team, and you'll have to deal with a massive weakness to Ice.

Since it's in-game, Kingdra will want to be a Rain Dancer, so Rain Dance/Surf/Dragonbreath/Ice Beam seems good to me.

My mate has a kick arse Latios in-game, I think it's Ice Beam/Thunderbolt/Psychic/Recover - Wipes anything in-game, and screws up alot against other GBAers, since they don't have as good teams as NBers do.

Salamence has great Attacking power, so make sure he has Earthquake, Aerial Ace (For STAB), since you can't breed Dragon Dance on it (unless you want to re-train it) I'll suggest throwing Fire Blast and Dragon Claw on it.

Rayquaza has always been kinda.. crappy.. to me in-game, but hell, he's another Dragon, so consider something like Dragon Claw/Extremespeed/Earthquake/Overheat or Fire Blast.

Now you need 2 more Dragons obviously, Dragonite is a beast in-game, consider something like Substitute/Focus Punch/Ice Beam/Thunderbolt for him.

Also, Flygon isn't all that bad, or you could go a little more defensive and grab Altaria.

OR, you could try flog Latias from someone and use it, basically the same way as Latios.

For Flygon - Fire Blast/Earthquake/Dragon Claw/Crunch or Quick Attack (You never know..)

Altaria could try and Dragon Dance up, I don't know about this one as I've never used it.

Just use it to get Dragon Dance onto Salamence.

I can see that Ice Demon is trying to start an argument, but just ignore argumental type posts people.

Anyway, HP Flying could be a little hard to get in-game, so obviously Aerial Ace is the way to go for Salamence (Check what his Hidden Power is first - You never know).

Gyarados wise, you'll probably need to find an alternative physical attack, which I can't think of right now.. maybe Return.

Or go for a DDed up Hyper Beam heh.

Thanks. With all these sugestion's i will be able to make a great dragon team. So far here is my permanent list of dragon's.
Latios, Latias, Kindra, Salamence, Dragonite, Altaria
most poeple tell me to put hyper beam on most of them is this a good idea?
I also need a set of moves on my latias, and i taugh it Attract because, well, everyone i know that have powerful teams use pure male!!
I also need for poeple to tell good Vs. moveset not just for in game battles
and i need moves for altaria

Hyper beam isn't a good idea on all of them

    Latias@ Soul Dew
    ~Mist Ball/Psychic
    ~Thunderbolt
    ~Ice Beam
    ~Wish/Recover

Mist Ball is cool since it lowers other things special def 50% of the time but, psychic has 20 more points of power so take your pick

Wish can be passed to your fellow dragons who don't sport recovery moves but, recover is instant and you have decent speed to use it with

Very true. Though not all Dragon's are weak to Ice are they? But for a good team, I'd choose Gyrados (depending on the version) since he's pretty good. If you have FR/LG, teach him Fire Blast. I can't remember much for the other ones. But all in all, I'd say either Gyrados, Flygon, or Dragonite.

where do you get soul dew?
Either by using a cheating device or buying an E-Reader AND the Eon Ticket scan card, which was given out as a promotional event by umm, Toys R Us (maybe other places but I'm not sure)
You'll probably have to end up just using the leftovers or trade with a friend who has it.
They sell Eon Tickets on Ebay if you have trouble finding one.

Or stick with Leftovers and use Calm Mind to power up.

    It's better.

And why are people suggesting non-dragons for a Dragon team lol?

    Cheap, very cheap.

His team so far has stuck to true dragons though.

For lati@s i have also seen
    Lati@s[timid]@soul dew
    EVs - Sp,hp,SpAtt
    dragon claw
    calm mind
    substitute
    recover

runs into problems with steels buh sub prevents stats and the likes which ppl have a tendency to use to destroy soul dew Lati@s

I can see that Ice Demon is trying to start an argument, but just ignore argumental type posts people.

I have never and never plan to get into an arguement here, i was just merely explaining myself. If u were offended then sorry.
