I'm a poke-trainer from Australia and i often find myself on the outside of (or lack efficient warning of) give aways when they are done.

The recent launch of the Pokecenter online has lead to the Pokeball pattern Vevillion being given away in America, same as when a physical Pokecenter was opened in France.

Other areas of the globe might not be as lucrative to the poke franchise as others, but i feel like we deserve the same attention and PR as all the others.

Am I the only one who feels this way or is this the lone rant of a trainer who might be seen as not being proactive enough in obtaining those special pokemon give aways?

It does seem that way at times. But on a better note, Australia is getting the pokeball vivillon starting August 29th, so hopefully that will make you feel a little better.

Yeah, it does kinda suck when events are region exclusive. Especially when they're really cool ones, like the Shiny Jirachi that is being distributed in just one region of Japan. What makes it worse is that pretty much all event Pokemon can't be traded on the GTS. It would be nice if they were equal in the distributions of event pokes, but Japan tends to get most of them since Japan has the largest and most enthusiastic portion of the Pokemon fanbase. If they don't cater to them, it could be bad for Game Freak.

But fortunately, the region exclusive ones are either a) nothing terribly special or b) they eventually get distributed to the rest of the world, like the PokeBall pattern Vivillon.

You're not the only ones who feels this way. Like what everyone else had said, though, most Pokémon that do get given away in certain part of globe get distributed throughout other parts eventually—it's only a matter of time.

Region exclusivity is the reason I should have been Japanese. I mean, think of all the cool events people would be raving about getting from me, and I wouldn't even care because they were common as anything around there.

They will get distributed one way or another. Im still waiting on a mew even here in usa. Last time we got one was hgss... we neeed more mews!!!!
