    Okay, so we have a thread for your favorite album art. Here I am to be the negative Nancy and ask for your least favorite album art. What do you dislike about it? Too simple? Too complex? Do you feel that it doesn't tell you anything about the album or the artist? Feel free to add whatever else or less you see fit. Don't rip too hard, though. We don't need any tears.

    I know it was intentionally done to be a low-quality image, that there's more wrapped around the back, but I don't think it works and I don't like it. Nothing wrong with experimenting, but not every experiment is a success.
     
    I know there are millions out there with horrible album covers, I'll try and just narrow it down to the music and artist I like - and that goes to Cannibal Corpse album cover for 2006 "Kill" - most of their album covers feature grotesque and very controversial graphic artwork (in many other countries are either banned or use different alternate covers) - but this album just had a simple cover with the band's logo on top and the words Kill in the middle, no graphic art, no zombies, no blood, no gore..... inn a way it was the most boring Cannibal Corpse cover in their career....

    There are hundreds of notoriously bad ones. Unfinished Music No. 1: Two Virgins seems at the top of the pile for notorious crap. The album can't even be called an album, so it doesn't count I would think. Hm. There is also that Abba cover, Gracias something or other. But I don't really like Abba anyway. I'll draw one out of a hat. Let's see here. . . and the winner is: Herbie Mann and his album, 'push push'

    Just realized I never replied to this, whoops. Was waiting to get replies and forgot to come back. Anyway, here we go:

    Not that this is ugly or anything, but I just don't feel that it tells me anything about the album. And as much as I hate to compare albums to previous albums, it really does pale in comparison. TMV's other albums had very interesting wtf covers, so this one was just like...idk, I was just expecting a little more visuals on the cover, especially when it comes to TMV.

    This one is offensive to me not because the way they are dressed, but from the way they are not even attempting proper ballet.

    Probably, haha. Like I said, I don't think it's ugly, it's just not a very good cover for them. That's why it's my least favorite.

    Also gonna have to agree on the Born This Way cover. I love Gaga, and I love that album, but I cannot stand that cover. It looks like someone made it in Photoshop and they were still new to the program.
     
    Although not terribly bad, the main cover for Natasha Bedingfield's Unwritten album really makes me sad.

    1.) She's covering her eyes with her bangs, which doesn't suite her. She's really beautiful and I feel that her covers should show that off. This one doesn't.
    2.) It's really hard to determine what the background is. On the left side, it looks like a wooden wall with white carpet, but on the right side it looks like a random brass door, and then right between her chest and legs appears to be a carpet completely different from the carpet on the left. Like, wut?
    3.) The font used for the title is very childish and immature. Maybe it's just the turning of the century, but I prefer sharp letters over round, bubbly ones. It gives more dignity.

    The second cover, however, is much better. It addresses every issue above.
