Legal Pokémon for VGC 2018 USUM?

From the rules I've read you can only use Pokémon caught in usum for the new vgc, yet under the category on Pokémon showdown people are using all sorts of Pokémon not included such as Amoongus or aegislash. Am I missing something? Are they catchable or in the National Dex somewhere? I haven't bought the games yet. So I've checked Pokémondb for the pokedex and a lot of these used Pokémon aren't listed. So why are they allowed or being used on showdown? Will they be allowed? Sorry if this is a noob question.

If I remember correctly, for VGC18, your Pokémon must be caught in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. This also means Pokémon should be bred in those games as well, so as long as Amoongus, Aegislash and other Pokémon were hatched in Alola, you can use them.

Wow that's crazy, thank you for sharing that. Since X Y and ORAS use pokebank too, I guess any Pokémon you can get from pokebank if you can breed it in USUM you can play it? Seems a little complicated. So I guess basically all Pokémon are usable.
