Just read the story... all I can say.

    Prologue

A small group of scientists sat on the banks of the ocean. They watched silently as the sun went down and the moon began to rise, flooding the land in dim light and brightly reflecting the ocean. Some of the scientists yawned. One was even asleep, soft snores and murmurs heard only amongst the scientists.

A thermal of coffee for all, they sipped silently and slowly as they waited for the Beast of the Sea to emerge. Suddenly, a beeping was heard from a machine.

?Sir, we have a life form traveling 50 miles east southeast.? said one scientist, checking the machine.

?Bring it up on screen then.?

Soon, a small TV like screen blinked on and they looked in the water and saw nothing, but then, a blur in the distance. ?Rewind and pause it!?

The man paused it and the lead scientist studied closely. ?Yep, it?s the beast alright. What?s the coordinates now??

?Traveling upwards from depths of 1600 meters and rising fast.?

All of the scientists ran to the banks and began to watch the surface, waiting for it to emerge. Some wrung their hands in anticipation, all eyes glinting with excitement and impatience.

Suddenly, a huge waterspout appeared and started veering their way. Wind whipped through their uniforms and they watched, awestruck as the waterspout drew nearer.

Soon, the waterspout was close enough to see a shadowy figure, like a creature of mythology, in the center of the roaring cyclone of water. There were hints of red in the water, though not much in there.

The waterspout burst open, and there it was, skin gleaming in the moonlight, but there were cuts and scrapes everywhere. Some had blood trickling from them, others, were scabbed over.

    ?Lugia.? all muttered in unison.

It opened it?s eyes. They were glowing red. The scientists gasped in shock and horror. ?Sir, another life-form is coming from the sky.? reported a man.

They all faced beyond Lugia and heard the crowing. ?Ho-oh too? This is one night I?m not gonna forget.? muttered a scientist.

Like the Lugia, there were cuts and feathers slowly drifted down and, like Lugia, it?s eyes were red. All of them gasped as the Lugia turned and cried out and shot out a beam of light. Ho-oh barely dodged it and dove at the Beast of the Sea.

The scientist watched in horror. Never had these two fought before, never. The head scientist turned away and walked from the group, muttering, ?If these two are fighting, then that means... a Legendary Battle has begun.?
