This here is a remake of my old RP that I hope will go on a lot longer than last!

Hello, and welcome all to the world of Pokemon! I'm proud to announce that a new region has been discovered. The Lenore Region is located in the North, right above Johto and Kanto, and East of Orre, so there are plenty of pokemon from those regions. However, thanks to much mirgrating over the years, there are a few Sinnoh and Hoenn pokemon that can be found. Aside from the wild pokemon, there are, like most of the other regions, eight gyms. However, unlike most other gyms, these gyms will have pokemon that are at a higher level than its opponents as the Lenore Region, with their harsh and many climates, believe that trainer's must face harsher challeges than those 'baby' leagues.

There is no 'evil team', but there will be harsh challenges in the odd terrain of this region. Also, beware, for occasionally there may be a normal gangs that simply wants a fight or, even worse, pokemon hunters that kill or steal a pokemon for money. Beware, for I can let your pokemon be stolen or killed if I think you aren't trying your best in your posts, so be sure to do well!

After one week of no posting you will be booted, though I will VM you to make sure everything is alright. If you have an excuse, I will postpone your exile, but really, I expect at least one post a week.

You, the trainer, are about to begin your journey in the Lenore Region in the first town, Shirk City, where you shall recieve your first pokemon from Proffesor Leef. This young man is a kind hearted professor who loves and enjoys setting off young trainers on their journey. In Shirk City, which is located right by a large lake towards the east, right next to the lab, will be where you start. The houses are all made from a hard clay that is found throughout the region to protect the people from the different forces of nature out there, such as rain or snow, so be sure to mention your surroundings.

Rules:

1. No 'godmodding' or 'bunnying'.
2 No Lgendaries showing up, even if your trainer supposedly saw it in the corner of its eye. If Legendaries show, I shall tell you.
3. As RP Master, I may kick you or give you warnings should I ever see fit and I can change the rules.
4. Swearing, I don't care about, but I don't want it to be filled since all that happens is this: "*****!!"
5. Shinies may be caught, but believe me, that would have to be a hell of a post. Also, do not put a pokemon in a situation where it will die unless caught unless the situation calls for it and you wrote it really well.
6. No romance, please. If so, please keep it minimal.
7. When you capture a pokemon, trail off when the pokeball hits the pokemon and I will tell you if you have captured it or not. Also, a pokemon may have an egg move through leveling or capture, but that's up to me.
8. Have fun!

Kya, so nostalgic~ I like the old starters better though.

Name: Priscilla Vallieres

Gender: Female

Age: 15

Personality: Priscilla is essentially a snob. Of course, she has good reason to be so. But that doesn't change the fact, though it might soften it, that she is a stuck-up, spoiled brat. Worst of it is, she's an intelligent one. What's worse: an ignorant, dumb-witted sissy or a selfish, conceited genius? People might argue about that. But the latter is just what Priscilla is. Self-centered, prideful, arrogant, you name it. But she isn't a bad person deep inside-- deep, deep, deep, deep inside. I repeat, inside. She is a very bad person outside. But! But. I know what you are thinking. You think she's actually a weak-willed person at heart, and that is why she unconsciously pushes others away in order to protect herself. Or that she was constantly spoiled by her parents as a child and has therefore developed a bad habit of it. Well, tell you what. Wrong. Priscilla is simply the most demanding person in existence. Once she sets her eyes on something, she will obtain it no matter the cost. No matter the sacrifices. Her parents didn't give her everything she wanted; she took it from them. She doesn't push people away; she draws them in. Whether she likes them or not. If she does, she'll keep them close. If she doesn't, she'll bicker with them but keep them anyway. That's right. Priscilla isn't some average, selfish prissy girl that cares about her clothes. She's an incredible, selfish prissy girl that is a force to be reckoned with. Clothes? No. She doesn't care about what she wears. She cares about what she wants. And let me tell you, for a little girl, she wants a lot of things. And she won't stop at things, either. People as well. Not only that, she's rebellious and has the sharpest tongue you could imagine. And a will of iron and determination so strong it's scary. All of these traits convey to other people one message: nobody messes with Priscilla.

Appearance: Well, there you have it. Priscilla might be an exceptional spoiled brat, but she's a spoiled brat, all right. So what else can you expect? Perfect beauty. That about sums up the total of her appearance. Her glossy, honey-blond hair is styled in a series of elegant, golden curls and elaborate ringlets, tied together with a purple velvet ribbon. She has a perfect, milky complexion and a jaw-breaking figure. Her left eye is of a vibrant jade and her right a shimmering azure. She has a slender frame that makes her look petite and fragile, despite her extravagance.

What about clothes, you ask? I did mention that she did not care much for clothes, but still, you must expect a lady of her status to dress as is appropriate to her rank. She wears a vivid, cerulean blue satin top with white, lacy silk sleeves and an equally white, frilled skirt that reaches to her knees. Her stockings are of course of the finest quality. For shoes she has black high heels of the highest mark. But from there on, her rebellious side starts to shine through. She wears a pair of silver bangle bracelets on her right wrist and has stuck a silver and pearl brooch in the shape of a star on her chest. A long, purple feather (carved amethyst, of course) dangles from her left earlobe. A thin, silver chain hangs across her neck and another is wrapped around her left leg. Her parents are left to ponder where on earth their daughter got her artistic taste from.

History: You guessed it. Priscilla is rich. I mean, what kind of person would have a family name like Vallieres and parents that would name you Priscilla? But she's not just rich. She's not even dirty rich. She's filthy rich. Filthy. Absolutely loaded. Apparently, her ancestry from her mother's side was once part of royalty. That was before the revolution, of course. Ancient history. But oh well, you can't change family pride. But Priscilla's parents weren't irresponsible adults who spent their time enjoying themselves and who ignored their children. No, those kind of rich people oftenly got ruined quickly. What could you expect, if all you did was have fun all day and you never did anything worthwhile? Mr. and Mrs. Vallieres weren't like that. They worked. They owned a thousand different companies, and let me tell you, taking care of them all was hard work. But they always had time for Priscilla. They weren't as free-giving as most rich parents, though; they didn't want their only daughter to grow into a spoiled twerp. A lot of good that did. Anyway, Priscilla led a nearly normal life until her twelve years, being slightly tomboyish and picking fights with bullies rather oftenly at school.

However, on that day, May 29th, her whole life changed. For the very first time in her life, Priscilla lost a fight. That was when she realized she couldn't win in life with brute force alone. That was a pretty difficult realization for her, as you can understand. So she turned to a different route. Pokemon. What better than to train your monster/creature thingy, then send him out to battle by himself while you sat back and watched? Sounded fun to her. Like video games, except live action. So yeah...you can guess what happened next. Her attempts to "befriend" Pokemon were quite short-lived. So one day, as her father casually commented on the new region they had discovered up north, Priscilla's ears perked up and she found her new interest.

Good to see you back. :) I thought it would be nice to choose new starters.

Neiko Star: I know how you RP and welcome you back. You are accepted with Lileep!

I originally wrote this character for another roleplay... it didn't turn out exactly how is was supposed to so I ended up dropping out of it. I believe you were in it as well and dropped. I edited a little bit, but I noticed that Neiko Star submitted a character very similar to mine. If I need to change Kara to give more of a diverse role I am willing to do so. However, I wouldn't mind seeing how the two get along. It would be like old tradition of being rich meeting brand new money.

Name
:
Kara Thornse

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Preferred Starter:
Shieldon

Appearance:

Kara's brunette hair coils to around shoulder length. The large curls make up most of the texture of her very stylish hair. Her brown tress steals the shade of her mother's, however, Kara inherited the natural curls from the heredity of her father. Kara's hair is obviously well kept and clean almost all the time, an amazing enterprise for someone who travels so much. Hats are seldom spotted on the girl's head, however headbands and ribbons are a reoccurring love of Kara. Her bangs are troublesome for the teen, and are often restrained by a ribbon, or pushed to the side. Her hair is a double-edged sword; the large curls prove adamant in staying free, rather then being enslaved by a tie. Kara has abandoned any ideas of ponytails, pig tails, or even buns. Before the sun has even risen, Kara spends hours on her hair making sure everything is in place and will stay the way it is for hours.

Kara's thin body is one every coordinator dreams of. The girl's self conscious personality makes it impossible for her to not know her weight. She hovers around the 116-pound mark, but like everyone in life, tends to put on a pound or two at special occasions. Kara has made it a part of life to watch what she eats, which always helps with keeping a very refined figure. Kara stands at five feet eight inches, and has completed growing. Her limbs are not long, and most her height comes with her long torso. Very little muscle resides in Kara's body and most of it populates the back of her legs. Her skin has always been fairly tan; thanks to Goldenrod's beaches, and her constant traveling. Kara's light blue eyes are like looking through a glass window to her character and emotions. They contrive a mosaic of innocence that is often shattered by raging emotions and hormones. Kara's lips pull everything together with a constant covering of peach colored lip-gloss.

Fashion, is a big part of a city girl's lifestyle. It is a necessity that Kara gives off a clean, up to date look. The girl's love for performance also allows her to dress formally quite often. Versatility is not what Kara is looking for in any of her outfits; in fact it is all about the way she looks. Whether she is battling, scaling summits, or walking the streets; Kara garments herself in mostly collared long-sleeved shirts and skirts (prep clothes). The girl believes it sinful to wear any kind of athletic sweats as a female. Such radical beliefs in clothing often make it appear as if she follows in some kind of cult that worships garments. The young lady also has a sweet spot for jewelry. Kara chooses to wear various contraptions on her wrists every day, and an occasional anklet. Earrings are thrown in on special occasions, in order to make her appear much older then she actually is.

Personality:

Passionate, innocent, and self-cautions are the three best ways to portray Kara. Her passion for performances dwarfs anything in comparison. Whether it is a book, a movie, a play, a competitive battle, or just a magazine, she immerses herself in it. She lives a very fast paced life and must always be accomplishing something. This character trait often leads her to read a lot more then she should. Kara consumes words as much as food; she enjoys the sense of accomplishment every time she completes a novel. This sustains her need to be doing something all the time. Another very defined characteristic of hers is her treatment to both humans and pokemon. She is not afraid to tell the truth, in fact she is often to loose with her mouth. She is quick to criticize and often no positive comment will leave her lips when addressing a person. Kara's pokemon are often treated the same, however, when they are able to perform to her very high standards, she will treat them with the highest regard.

Like most women, Kara has very uncharted emotions. It is very easy to pin point what mood she is in but how long she will stay acting that way is unknown and unpredictable. These often lead to unneeded fights with just about anyone, which often ends with Kara apologizing. Knowing herself so well causes her to be very skeptical of other females. She is often very internally, judgmental on other girl's appearances, clothing, and personalities. However, a female who proves herself acceptable to Kara's standards has little trouble with Kara.

Growing up in the higher end of Goldenrod City, Kara is very naïve to the transgressions of criminals, or crime itself. Being raised in such a bubble protected her from evil and more importantly hardships. Pain was almost completely foreign to the teen when she set off on her journey, and she is still adjusting to a very different lifestyle. This adjustment often leads her to be a bit catty when someone strikes a wrong note with her. Kara grew up in her sister's shadow and is constantly trying to prove herself to her family.

History:

Johto's most metropolitan area, Goldenrod City, is where Kara was born and still to this day calls home. Her father was an entrepreneur the day he graduated from a high profile college and struck liquid gold when he and a friend started an oil company. Evolving into a corporate giant, Mr. James Thornes was able to provide his family a very comfortable life. Mrs. Maria Thrones grew up in a more modest home that resided in Cherrygrove City. She grew up as a contest coordinator, but found very little success. In result of her failure at coordinating she settled down with James and the couple were able to successfully deliver two healthy baby girls. The oldest, Kristina, is the elder of Kara by a distant eleven years. Both girls grew up doused by the rich, culturally diverse life of Goldenrod. Kristina became a coordinator at a very young age and was very good at it. Finding more success then her mother had in just a few months Kristina pursued her love for coordinating into her twenties. In her travels Kristina met her future fiancé, Mike.

Kara grew up in the large cascading shadow of her sister. Her parents seemed to always compare her to her older sister. Somehow it seemed that Kara was always on the short end of the stick, and fell short of all her sister's accomplishments. Her grades were A's and B's where Kristina had seemed to manage to get all A's when she had been the same age. This constant competition began with every New Year; however, this did not strain the relationship of the two sisters. Kristina often came to the aid of Kara, and offered both help and advice. Kara began idolizing her sister at a very young age, and with every year her destiny to become a coordinator like her sister only strengthened. However, she soon made a decision that would obliterate that destiny. During her final year of schooling Kara became strangely close to one of her teachers. After receiving top marks on her trainer exam and the rest of her battling courses she decided she would pave a new path. Instead of following her sister she decided to become a pokemon trainer.

To get her mind off of constant disappointment, Kara found a sport to invest most of her time. When Kara was still a child, Mr. Thornse purchased a large mountain cabin just outside the winter resort of Snowpoint City. Kara grew up spending most of her breaks on the slopes of the largest mountains in the world. Finally Kara had found something she was better then her older sister. As much as Kara loved the rush of adrenaline as she plummeted down the hardest runs in the world, she knew she was to become a trainer.

Her plan to stay in Johto was predictable but would not come true. A new, upcoming region named Lenore was being settled. Her father was not going to bypass any opportunity where money could be made. He spoke of an opportunity as if it was revolutionary. As if it was, itself, the great migration from Kanto to Johto that had happened millenniums before their time. James quickly purchased a large estate on the new continent and planned to move his metropolitan family to very primitive lands. Kara was unhappy with the idea of moving, however, she had learned to never cross her father. It was finally time for Kara to prove her value and talent to her successful family and most importantly to herself.

Roleplay Sample:

There was a stalwart gale at the top of the mountain which ruined the once organized juxtaposition of snow. The meteorologists had predicted only a small flurry but it had developed into much more. With every second the colossal storm enveloped Kara more and more. This was enough reason for anyone to call it a day, but this is what she lived for. The crowds were off the mountains, which gave Kara domain to the mountain. The teenager gently leaned forward coaxing her skis to begin sliding. After a few seconds to gain speed and a few swings from her poles she began gliding down the face of the mountain. It was inexplicable skiing. Even for Kara, who had practically lived on the slopes, the run was extremely complicated. She could not see more then ten feet forward and the mountain seemed as if it was a ninety degree angle. What seemed like an hour was, in reality, only a few minutes. Kara reached the bottom of the peak avoiding every hazardous tree, ditch, and mogul. It had been so exhilarating, so freeing, so innocent. There was one thing, however, that the fresh powder was not able to mend. A rush of cold and somberness shot through the teen's vascular system. It was the last time she would complete a run for at least a year. She was to leave on a Pokemon journey in a few mere days.

Kara reached down and clicked the latch, which released her foot from the bondage that was enforced by the ski. Mirroring her actions on the left foot she was finally free. Picking up her most prized possessions she continued to the lodge. The weather was not even half the intensity that it was at the mountain's climax; Kara could now see her breathe crystallize. It was dusk and the temperature began to plummet. The girl quickened her pace and reached the large cabin within moments. Her marathon pace transferred right into the building, there was no wat on earth she was going to spotted by herself. Appearance was everything to the female and looking like she had no friends was not acceptable. To the future trainer's relief she made it to the lockers without a single eye casting a judgmental expression. Grabbing her possessions and changing her ski shoes into more feminine boots, Kara left the lodge. After regaining her skis, she trotted to the toasty, orange ski tram. Boarding it she prepared herself for a descent back to her families cabin in Snowpoint City.

Only a few humans inhabited the train. Kara had isolated herself from the world with her expensive headphones, but she couldn't help but notice the happiness in everyone's faces. There was a family of four sitting at the very end of the cart which had two very young children. Both of them seemed to be ecstatic about their first day of skiing while the parents, who looked worn out, were smiling and looking them both directly into the eyes. That daughter reminds me of my first time up here. Oh, that was the best day of my life... Kara's mind was racing and yearning to go back in time. There was one more pair on the train, however, they were not both human. There was a boy, not much older then Kara, who seemed to be smiling at a newly captured Sneasle. The trainer and steed appeared to have an unmeasurable swagger. To the girl's surprise the trainer removed a badge case which veiled five badges. That's unbelievable... he has five badges, already!? That is going to be me. However, I will not be dressed in such despicable clothing, that is for sure." The train came to a halt moments later and the party of people exited without a word to each other.

It was now an hour past seven by the time Kara had reached the threshold of her cabin. The girl opened the door and was greeted by the dark corridors. She flipped a few translucent lights on and continued to bed. She forgot everything and drifted to sleep...

***
The sky was still dark. There was not a cloud in the sky to block the sun; it was simply just not up. The gated community was littered with both luxury and sport vehicles. It seemed as if the powerful stat had affected the mood of the village. It was lifeless. There were no lights expelling themselves from windows, there was no one outside retrieving their previously delivered newspapers, and even the joggers were still hibernating from the ideal weather. Actually making these conclusions may not be the fairest reflection on the village. There was an anomaly. At the end of cul-de-sac lay a sizable manor, which at first glance looked as lifeless as the next. However, if one inspected the third story right window, there was a faded luminous state to it. The large shelter lay on sizable plot of land, somewhere around an acre. The house dwarfed the plot of land; it was a colossal Victorian styled building. Large pillars, beautifully sculpted columns, and steep triangular roofs constructed the mansion. It was as if a Gothic style had coalesced with a small Renaissance castle.

On the third floor of four stories lay the daughter's dormitory. It resembled a very classy but expensive hotel suite. It was massive enough to take up much of the third floor and came complete with a mini kitchen. However, even the room was vacant of light. The only trace of it came from the master bathroom. In it was a young woman. Kara had just returned from her final ski trip of the year and was preparing for her journey. One could say she had matured too fast, others would say her investment in materialistic values proved she was still emotionally immature. One thing was for sure; her look was anything but youthful. Kara's mother, Maria, had dressed her in designer clothing since the day she could fit it.

Very loud music pulsated out of the bathroom doorway. The song 1901, by the band Phoenix, radiated its beats and harmonies as the sixteen year old dried her hair. The volume would have been unbelievably loud at such an early time of the morning if her room had not been so isolated. The walls seemed to be so well insulated that the music couldn't be heard from even just outside the threshold. After an hour Kara had finished prepping her hair, teeth, and scents. She exited the bathroom and entered her sizable domain. The girl allocated a bag of fresh coffee beans into the carafe which immediately began to cook. Kara, without haste, moved to the blender. In a matter of minutes she had created a concoction that included both fresh mango, kiwi and incredible amounts of protein powder. With a disgusted face she downed the potion and repositioned her body in front of her HD TV. She flipped it on and began watching highlights of the skiing competition that had transpired the day prior. A very intense yearning for fresh powder shot through her tiny exoskeleton. Flashes of her prior trip illuminated themselves throughout her mind. Did I make the right choice? Should I really become a trainer? Kara's brain was working overtime.

Fera: Excellent SU! And don't worry if you feel your character is similar to someone's else's. We're all different people, so I expect different. You're in with Shieldon.

Sacred Beo: You are the only one that can have a reservation because you reserved for me plenty of times. :)

Name: Beo Scythe

Gender: Male

Age: 20
Personality: Beo is a very hateful twenty year old. His eyes full of fire and anger. Anyone who tries to get close to him will just end up in tears, he doesn't let anyone in and it sometimes leave people wondering if he even has feelings at all. Although darkness and hate loom around this young man he was not always like this.

When he was little he was a caring loving child, with two great friends. But that was the past and things change. Even though he is shrouded in hate and darkness, fear is his biggest default. Deep down inside he is dead and alone, he is a child afraid of dying alone.

Appearance: Beo is a very tall young man standing at 6'4, although he was the smallest kid in his hometown until he turned twelve and things changed for the worse. He has a very muscular build and is very athletic looking. He has dark long spiky black hair, and his eyes are almost a pitch black. He has a long scar going across his left pectoral muscle down to his lower abdomen.

Beo is usually seen wearing a dark black hoodie that he usually wears over his head to cover his face. As well he wears regular black jeans and black tennis shoes. One thing that is different from his very dark clothing is that he wears to golden plates around his wrist.

History: Beo never had a rough childhood. He lived on Cinnibar Island with both his parents who worked at the research lab there. They were rich and Beo was an only child, he was basically giving everything he wanted. He had the two perfect best friends there was Zypher who he had known since he was three, and then there was Sly who he had met when he was six and he instantly knew that was the girl he was going to marry one day.

Unfortunatly fate never lets things happen according to your own plan, instead you have to follow destinies past and destiny had a different path for the three of them. When Beo was ten years old the three of them were down by the edge of the ocean playing when he started seeing visions of buildings burning, people screaming and dying and a man cloaked in black it scared him so bad that when he snapped out of it he accidentally knocked Zypher into the water. Beo dove in trying to save him but the current was so strong he was washed away and his body was never found. After that incident he started distancing himself from Sly and even his parents. The following year Sly left on her own pokemon journey to Johto while Beo stayed home as his anger and fear grew, distancing himself further and further from the people he once loved. He began having more and more dreams about this man cloaked in black shrouded in darkness ruling over a world in chaos.

Finally he had enough of this dreams and nightmares, he had enough of a normal life and when he was twelve years old he snuck out and left Cinnibar, sneaking onto a small fishing boat and ending up in Johto. As the years went on he figured he was just plain crazy, after all he was being followed by the same cloaked man he saw in his nightmares. Eventually he started to crave power and thus when he turned twenty he decided to head towards the newly discovered Lenore region to become a pokemon trainer, and that way he could gain power.

Beo: All your characters seem to have the name Beo. :) The only problem with this is that your character is nearly 7 feet tall... That's just a bit too much, ya know, but don't worry, cuz you are still accepted!

If we get one more person, I'll start the RP!

Ooh nice! :D

Name: Greg Falder

Gender: Male

Age: 16

Personality: One word best describes Greg. Fun. He is a fun loving guy, he always goes that extra step to make sure he enjoys himself and he rarely lets things bother him. There can be a number of situations where Greg finds himself being the 'comic relief' of it all, or the only one who tries to lighten people's days up. He dosen't particularly understand sorrow, and can't understand why some people insist on wallowing in the past and living life pessimistically. His lack of understanding when it comes to panic or fear can obviously result in the patience of another breaking, resulting in Greg being lectured about 'morals' and 'what is most important' at the time. However, Greg has one, strong moral - that is to help others in need, and take life on with a smile on your face.

This way of life for Greg can make him, as he puts it, "like a Marmite guy," (Pardon the expression) - you either love him, or don't. On one hand, he can be a great guy to be with, relied on to make you laugh or simply there to be your friend. Greg's presence can make all the difference sometimes in social gatherings. On the other hand, trying to get him to slow down and take things seriously is like pulling teeth. He can have difficulty grasping when it's time to be serious about things - having difficulty knowing when and where certain things should be said. Nonetheless, all Greg tries to do is be a good, fun person: and he tries hard at it.

Appearance: Greg is the average height for a teenager his age - that is, about 6 feet. He isn't particularly well built or muscular, infact he's pretty skrawny and almost 'lanky'. He dosen't appear to have much muscle to him at all, however he is still energetic. His skin isn't anyhting special - it's the same, pale colour it has always been as he dosen't particularly focus on giving it a nice tan. However, this has kept his skin nice and smooth over time and it is quite healthy. He has short, brown hair which hangs downwards (though not by much, considering its length). Facially, Greg's expression always looks like he isn't worried at all. He has high cheekbones, his eyes are kept wide and his mouth usually finds itself in some sort of smile. This fun-loving look to him makes him appear slightly younger than he actually is.

Greg's favourite colour is green, thus it shows in what he wears. He has a white, long sleeve shirt on with a royal green, short sleeved one over the top of that, unbuttoned. To match this, he wears a unique pear of trousers - they are black, however they have large green stripes around the legs and the waist. To complete his outfit, he wears green and white baseball boots, a green mens' dress hat, and a grey backapack (which he usually has around only one shoulder. He also has a few accessories: a watch, sweatband, and a belt in which to keep pokeballs.

History: Greg was born and has grown up in Pewter City in the Kanto region during his lifetime. There, he lived in an average house, big enough for his family of four - himself, his mother, father and his sister who is a year younger than he is. In this climate, he was introduced to many people of varying ages and experiences. When he was as young as three he found himself bonding and playing happily with other tots his age, without a care in the world. This behaviour, many assumed, came from his own parents, who were both also kind, compassionate and appriciative of others - especially their own children. Greg and his sister were never treated harshly or punished often - if anything, they were probably raised without much discipline at all. The fun, carefree attitude they developed basically made them nice people - something people always appreciate.

Whearas most kids would see the step to school as a big, dangerous aspect, Greg was anxious and took it in his stride. Right away, to the dismay of his teachers, he was bouncing from one place to the next, yabbering away to one child then going over to play with the next. As you would expect, this was of great benefit in his first two years of school. However, as he progressed and turned six, school became a more serious thing. Unfortunatley, Greg couldn't let go of his inner child and wasn't taking the education system seriously enough. There were a few occasions were there were tears - after all, Greg couldn't understand why the teachers were giving him into trouble, he was just being who he was. Nonetheless, nothing serious ever happened to him because, as mentioned, he wasn't ever 'bad' and had no wrong intentions. This caused him to have many friends in school. Infact, he was popular and well known enough to avoid the hassle of bullies. The leap to secondary school was no different and, while he was never the best acidemically, he remained the good guy - and his growing sense of humour was greatly appriciated by others.

Chapter 1
(1 post)

Alright everyone! This is the first post! You are in Shirk City where you shall go to the giant white lab that seems to be made out of a type of muddy cement that most houses are used in this region. It is located on the side of a very large lake where, if you look closely, you can see a very large building that is in fact the 8th badge. You can feel your heart flutter, thinking that someday you will be across that lake, getting your last badge, but first, you need to get your first pokemon.

So go inside, talk to Professor Leef. There can be other trainers there or you are alone, it doesn't matter. With a warm smile that makes the large brown hippy-like beard on his face twitch, and a nice little chat about responsibilities, you are on your way out. Just head East and you'll hit the end of the city. Looking up North, you'll see a very long green path that seeminglingly goes on forever. The flowers are in bloom and the grass is such a bright green that it almost hurts your eyes. However, not all is peaceful, and the dangerous pokemon of Lenore Region have finally made themselves noticed and are attacking you!
[PokeCommunity.com] Lenore Region (2)
(Can't catch!)
Attacks: Scratch, Bugg Buzz, Screech

The attacks with * you may not use until it disappears in OOC thread!

End the post as you defeat the wild pokemon and take your first step in the directions of Route 1, but be sure to describe your feelings of the sudden attack and the description of what you see!

Beo stood on the outskirts of Shirk City his hood was down at the moment and he stared deeply at the lab that seemed to be made of mostly mud. He had actually just arrived at this newly discovered region a few days ago and had been camping outside of Shirk City until he was scheduled to meet with Professor Leef.

"Finally" he expressed without emotion as another person exited from the professors lab and Beo figured that he would be alone now when he met with Leef. Beo wasn't much for meeting new people let alone people that he would be competing against. After all he was only getting this pokemon so he could become powerful, thats all he craved now was power, raw power. He then pulled his the black hood of his hoodie up over his head covering his face and then made his way down to the lab. Next to the lab was a huge lake and across from the lake sat a gym, but not just any gym it was the final gym with the eight gym badge inside. A smirk grew across the young man's face as he realized that it would only be a matter of time before he got there, and once he conquered that gym he would be one of the strongest and powerful people alive.

"Enough" he said as he gazed turned back to the door of the lab and he softly opened it and entered the lab. Once inside he noticed a man in a white lab coat standing there with a warm smile. It honestly disgusted him deeply.

"And you must be?" Leef asked still smiling.

"Beo" he replied softly as Leef looked down and pulled a pokeball from his lab coat.

"Yes of course you are one the last trainers to arrive after all, I was actually begining to wonder if you'd even show up. Anyway here is your pokemon" he smiled handing over the pokeball.

"Ok" Beo said quickly swipping the pokeball from Leef and clipping it to his belt around his waist. He then begin heading towards the door, before Leef stopped him suddenly.

"Before you go I'd just like to say at times you may feel overwhelmed with everything being new to you in this region, and being a new trainer you may ultimately at times feel like giving up but just remeber that no matter what you can make it through anything as long as you have your pokemon by your side" Leef said this time with a serious face.

Beo lifted his head up and glared at Leef with his pitch black eyes "Whatever, I'll do whatever I have to to get by, and I mean whatever" he said and with that he exited the lab. He then began heading east until he finally hit what seemed to be an endless grassy route. As Beo took one step onto the route the grass around him began to move around quickly and swiftly. Beo then reached for his pokeball and grabbed it off his belt readying it at his side.

"I guess this is where it starts" Beo said smirking still showing no emotion. Suddenly a pokemon swiftly darted out of the tall grass and at Beo slashing at him cutting a huge hole in his jeans. "GO" Beo shouted tossing out his pokemon.

"Oh a Kabuto? Thats intresting I guess" Beo said as he readied for the battle with the scyther.

"KA-Ka-BUTO!" the pokemon shouted turning to see it's new master then reading itself towards Scyther who was cocking his body back ready to strike.

"Just wait for it" Beo said softly as the Scyther finally took off towards the brown shelled pokemon. As scyther began to slash down at Kabuto with a scratch attack Beo grinned.

"Harden" Beo said silently still showing no emotion as Kabuto harden it's shell as Scyther swung down with it's sharp claws bouncing off doing little damage. After several rounds of the same moves going back and foruth Beo's head started getting a sharp pain and he fell to one knee.

"AHHHH!!" Beo screamed in pain as he looked up and standing behind the scyther was the man cloaked in black he had seen several times before.

"You'r being weak Beo, make this scyther suffer!!!" the cloaked man yelled at the boy, as the scyther began charging at Kabuto once again.

"Kabuto harden one more time!" Beo shouted trying to ignore the cloaked man, this time however the attack from scyther caused more damage causing Kabuto to quiver back in pain.

"Your going to end up alone in life, if you don't become powerful Beo, and the only way to do that is to destroy this Scyther!! Now attack it!!" The cloaked man began shouting at Beo once again.

"Fine, Kabuto hold wait for it this time around were attacking!" Beo shouted as Kabuto readied itself once Scyther starter racing towards him and slashing down and Kabuto.

"DO SOMETHING NOW!!!" The cloaked man began screaming again!

"Now Kabuto dodge and use acient power!" Beo shouted actually starting to show emotion as Kabuto dodge the attack and started glowing before a few rocks shot up and pummeled the scyther in the stomach causing it to fall to the ground in pain.

"Nows your chance finish it!" The cloaked man laughed hysterically as he knew he was getting what he wanted. An angry look grew over Beo's face as his hood fell off his head.

"Kabuto start slashing away at it with scratch until I say stop!" Beo shouted in pure hatred as Kabuto jumped onto the chest of Scyther and began scratching at it's chest, tears began rolling from Beo's eyes as the scyther screamed in pain and the cloaked man had already vanished... He fell to both knees and put his head down grabbing Kabuto's pokeball from his belt and returning it.... Tears began falling to the ground as one thought ran through his head.

"Why did he do that..."

Greg peered across the lake to the large building on the other side. Apparently it was the final Gym. He wondered how good he'd be or what pokemon he'd have by that time, and that thought excited him.

Infact, the whole prospect of a new, more challenging region excited him too. Kanto was getting, well, old. It was the same old story; Pallet Town, one of the same three starters, the same old same old way of doing things. Lenore offered a brand new challenge.

He stood at the entrance of the large mudhut of a lab. Despite it's promising aspects, Shirk City was kind of... primitive. At least Pallet Town had some nice, well structured buildings.

Greg knocked, and then entered without waiting for a reply. Inside was a man, wandering around a desk and some paperwork - looking like he was busy sorting stuff out. He caught sight of Greg and walked over to him,

"Hello, what can I do for you?" he said politely,

"Hi, my name's Greg Falder. I'm looking for Professor Leef?" Greg asked,

The man laughed, "That would be me son. I take it you're here for a pokemon too?"

Greg grinned, "Yea! I mean, if there's any left, heh..."

"Not to worry," Leef said, "Infact you have a choice of three!"

Before the Professor had time to finish, Greg had practically bound over to the table with 3 pokeballs, Pokedexes and some spare pokeballs too. He scanned the names, the only one he recognised was Omanyte. But he wasn't to interested in that one. However, something about "Cranidos" picked his fancy. Ah what the heck, what could go wrong?

"This one!" Greg said to Leef, picking up the pokeball and tossing it to the floor. A white light appeared, and a small, grey and blue dinosaur thing appeared,

"Craniii!" it called. Greg's grin almost reached his ears,

"Awesome!" he said, picking up the pokedex and scanning the creature. A male, mechanical voice spoke,

[PokeCommunity.com] Lenore Region (2)
Cranidos: the Head Butt pokemon. A lifelong jungle dweller from 100 million years ago, it would snap obstructing trees with headbutts.

Leef simply stared. Greg knew how to work a pokedex without a lecture. Ah well, saved him the work,

"Okay Greg, I think you've made your choice. Would you like to give Cranidos a nickname?" he asked,

"You can do that?" Greg asked, "Hmm... I know! Dino! Like, the Flintstones pet..."

Cranidos, or Dino, looked at his new trainer in confusion - what exactly was this 'Flintstones'?

Leef laughed, "Well then, just take those five pokeballs aswell - but I have to warn you." His tone became more serious, "Lenore is more dangerous than any of the other regions. There may be times you feel you can't cope, or that you are defensless. Are you sure you want to do this Greg?"

Greg smirked, "With Dino here, I'll be fine! Besides, what good is a challenge if it isn't hard?"

Leef smiled, "Then go have an adventure!" he said, beconing to the door.

----------

Both Greg and Dino walked with each other along the City. After a while, both found themselves at the edge of the place, entering a very long, grassy route. Greg smiled,

"Right Dino, our journey officially starts here!" he said to the small dinosaur,

"Dooos!" it said in reply. Greg was relieved that it didn't seem to have any problems with him... so far anyway.

As trainer and pokemon continued walking, a shrill cry was heard nearby. From the undergrowth, a large green pokemon darted out and readied it's blades at Greg. Greg gasped in awe - he knew what this was!

[PokeCommunity.com] Lenore Region (2)
Scyther: the Mantis pokemon. It slashes through grass with its sharp scythes, moving too fast for the human eye to track.

"Woa!" Greg said, "Dino: ready for our first battle?" he said to te Cranidos,

"Crani! Dos!" it replied, hopping infront of Greg and facing the Scyther. The two stared at each other for a moment, sizing each other up. Suddenly, Scyther lashed out at blinding speed, scythes gleaming,

"Woa! Dino quick! Get out of the way!" Greg shouted. Too late however, as Scyther slashed Dino with Scratch. Luckily, Dino was a Rock type, so he just shook it off,

"Great! Now Headbutt it!" Greg ordered. Dino lowered its head and charged at the large bug. With a jump, it smacked Scyther hard in the stomach, causing the pokemon to clutch it in pain. Scyther looked angry, then began flapping its wings at tremendous speed. Small, green waves began to blow at Dino, causing the small dinosaur to be pushed back. Greg looked at his pokedex,

"Bug Buzz. A Bug Type move." was all it said. Greg turned his attention back to the battle, where Dino was still struggling to stand his ground,

"Dino! Use Leer!" Greg shouted. Dino looked Scyther right in the eye and shot it a piercing look. Scyther, momentarily stunned, ceased it's attack,

Greg threw his fist in the air, "Awsome buddy! Now use Headbutt!"

"Doooss!!" Dino bellowed as he charged with all his speed into Scyther again. His skull rammed it right in the chest, causing Scyther to be knocked back once more. Scyther regained its posture and, with a deep breath, let out the most irritating Screech attack Greg ever heard. Greg clasped his hands over his ears, and Dino was brought to his knees in discomfort by the piercing sound. Scyther grinned, darting over Dino to get behind him, before homing in with another Scratch attack. Greg racked his brain for ideas - with Screech, Scratch was going to be more effective. He thought of something quickly,

"Quick Dino! Your head! Use your head!" he yelled over to the Cranidos. Dino immidiately spun round and took Scratch right on it's skull. Scyther's scythes and Dino's head were locked in a test of strength, with both pokemon trying their hardest to push the other back. Eventually, Dino's natural rock hard strength pulled through, and Scyther's blades were parried off of his head. Greg smirked,

"Now, end this!" he called to Dino, however the small dinosaur did something unexpected,

"Craaaniii!!" it roared as it rammed its foot into the ground. Suddenly, large cracks appeared on the terrain, with a bright light booming out from them. The cracks intensified underneath Scyther, before the ground erupted with a large explosion of red hot bursts of lava. Greg stood there with his jaw nearly falling off. That was Earth Power!

Scyther, being part flying type, was unaffected. However the attack was enough to scare it. It did a one-eighty and fled from view, accepting defeat. Greg stared at Dino, who stared back - a little wobbly from using such an extrordinary move. Greg ran over to him and gave him a hug,

"Oh my God Dino! That was insane! You rock!" Greg said with a grin, holding up his hand to Dino.

Dino stared for a second, then smiled, "Dos!" it exclaimed, high fiving its new trainer.

(OOC: Kinda long, but that never hurt anyone right? :P)

Sacred Beo: Ah, Beo is crazy. it makes me smile. :) Anyway, congragulations, Kabuto grew to level 7 and learned Absorb!

Zeph: Great post, however, it was my fault for not saying nobody could use the moves with * next to them, but I won't count it against you this time. :) Anyway, congrats! Cranidos is called Dino and grew to level 7 and learned Focus Energy!

Name: Jacqueline 'Jackie' Thomas

Gender: Female

Age: 18

Personality: If one asked a close friend of Jacqueline, to compare her to one Pokémon in the entire world, they'd laugh and compare her to a Slakoth before exclaiming with grin, that somehow she's worse. She is a casual, carefree, laid-back, under achiever who often prefers sleeping or hanging out with her friends over doing any actual work. Several of her peers and friends could vouch this statement. Anyone who is close to Jackie, knows that this girl has not even an ounce of a motivational bone in her body when it comes to manual labor and would prefer to not lift a finger and would rather have someone else do it. She even complains while doing even the simplest of tasks, such as her daily chores, grumbling while doing so, about how she'd rather sleep or relaxing than be up to her elbows in soap suds and dirty dishes or hanging up the laundry to dry.

Despite complaining a lot, Jackie will still get whatever job she's tasked with done, having grown up with a mindset of always finishing a job you start and leave a place cleaner than it was found, though this might take a while with her constant complaining and heavy sighs but eventually it will get done. Aside from being lazy and carefree, Jackie has also been know to exude bouts of random knowledge and likes to give people random unecessary facts, mostly due to the fact that she spends some of her time reading. She is not a slacker when it comes to her school work and book smarts, its just everything else and this leaves her parents to often wonder why or how their child managed to grow up this way. Jackie prefers to take a lot of things in her life lightly and prefers to move at her own pace, she doesn't like to dwell on the bad things in life, deeming getting depressed or upset over something is a bother and way to much work. This statement has caused a lot of people to glance at her in wonder, while she shrugs before going back to whatever she had been doing, which more often than not was probably sleeping.

Appearance: Jacqueline, though she prefers to be called Jackie, is a pretty brown-skinned girl with almond-shaped light brown eyes, her hair is short and brown, bordering on black, stopping just at the nape of her neck, while the front of her hair is uneven and choppy. The left side is slightly longer than the right, stopping at her chin, while the right stops just a few inches below her cheeks. Standing at 5'6 Jackie has a very athletic build and the body of a dancer, due to years of gymnastic training and ballet lessons. Though a few years back she had quit, for reasons unknown and unexplained. Jackie prefers wearing short sleeved shirts, of her preferred color, under snug stylish hoodies, also of her preferred color, with long sleeves that cover her hands, allowing only her fingertips to be visible and hip hugging pants with flared legs and sometimes decorative patterns, embroideries or signs that cover her sneakers, so more often than not, she's seen wearing either cargo pants or jeans and her favorite pair of worn sneakers. Hanging loosely around her neck are a pair of cordless silver-chrome skull embroidered headphones, that had the words 'best friends forever' engraved on both of the earphone attachments, which are mostly there for decoration purposes but they also help for blocking out sounds. These headphones mean lot to her and she never takes them off because she received them as a gift.

History: Growing up in the Jhoto region for Jackie was simple and sweet with no complications what so ever, her parents were happily married and they own a nice house in Cherrygrove and lived in a nice suburban area, everything was great. When she was younger, Jackie was a lively and extremely energetic child, who always enjoyed her after school lessons to practice gymnastics and ballet dancing, however as the years went on and the girl got older, she eventually stopped, neither Jackie nor her parents knew why her motivation and spark for it died, as Jackie states when asked, with a slight shrug and a half hearted manner 'it sorta just did.' When it comes to making friends, Jackie doesn't have a hard time since she has such a pretty nice and easy going personality even so she only has about 3 people she would call her best friends and is extremely close to, because of this their group is very close-knit and act almost like an odd dysfunctional family. They had known each other since grade school. There was Kurt, their self-proclaimed leader, Lisa their resident Pokémon/Tech nerd, Alex their shy artist and last but not least, Jackie their lazy, sometimes genius of the group.

They use sometimes very lightly, because Jackie had liked to spout random facts of knowledge about something at the oddest of times, such as when they were about 16 and Alex had scrapped his knee against a tree they had clambered up while trying to escape a rampaging group of Pokémon, she had stated that, The sentence "The quick brown fox jumps over a lazy dog." Uses every letter of the alphabet. They had all looked at her like she was stupid, Lisa muttered she was a loser for knowing that and then rolled their eyes while she laughed. Jackie had recalled that moment in time later that day to her family while at the dinner table, this caused her mom to ask why she had this much energy around her friends but when it came to her chores and work at home, she'd just complain and take forever to get a simple thing like dish washing done.

Jackie would just shrug and tell them what she always did before taking away her plate, along with her parents before heading into the kitchen to wash the dishes "I dunno" A couple years would soon pass by and while still extremely close the group would soon go their separate ways Kurt had found a love for battling and had announced to the group one day, that he would be getting his starter, a Cyndaquil, from Professor Elm by the end of the month and then he'd be on his way to become a tough trainer, not too long after Alex was the next to announce his leave, saying that he'd like to pursue his passion as a wandering artist, along with his newest companion Smeargle, the dog like painting Pokémon had stumbled upon Alex one day while he had been sketching and the two instantly hit it off though Alex had to get used to getting his stuff marked up by Smeargle's secreting tail. Having found her passion in studying the habitats of Pokémon and tinkering with weird contraptions she'd made, Lisa had decided that she wanted to become a researcher of Pokémon, they were all leaving by the end of the month, which was just in a couple weeks.

This left Jackie alone and the only one without some sort of ambition but even though they were leaving her, Jackie had excitedly suggested, surprising the trio, that during the last week of the month that they spend all their time together before saying goodbye. The days ticked by extremely fast and during that time, she possibly had the best week of her life and by the end of the last day, as a memoir, she had each bought them a special gift for each of the trio to remember her by.

For Alex it was a brand new sketchbook, with the random fact she had told him that day he scrapped his knee, engraved on the inside of the cover, for Lisa, she bought the girl a miniature sized, about the size of a badge case, tool set and for Kurt she had got him a Yin Yang necklace, with the sun and moon representing Yin and Yang respectively, when Kurt asked why he got a necklace Jackie shrugged hopelessly and said she couldn't think of anything else to get him. Kurt rolled his eyes at her response and smiled, they all thanked her for her gifts and then they were on their ways.

She would head home later that evening with a slightly heavy heart, but then she would brighten considerably upon receiving a package addressed to her. Inside was a set of cordless silverish chrome skull decorated headphones, with the words best friends forever engraved on the earpieces, right under the pictured skulls, they also came with a note, signed by Kurt, Alex and Lisa, that told her not to forget them and try not be a pain to her parents while they were gone.

It had only been a couple of weeks after they had left and her parents were starting to become slightly worried and curious, Jackie would always seem so lively when around her friends but with her closest buddies all gone, she would now just lounge around the house and seem more lazy than usual, idly fiddling with her headphones, her parents had claimed she was sulking, but Jackie claimed that she wasn't sulking, she was just acting like she normally would, just with a lot less emotion. They rolled their eyes at this response and suggested to her one night during dinner that she should go to the Lenore Region, it was a fairly new founded region and they figured that some time away from home, away from the memories, would do her some good anything to keep her from looking like someone killed her puppy or something.

Jackie agreed, but only to prove to her parents that she wasn't sulking and having her best friends leave her was not affecting her in the slightest, they'd give her looks of clear disbelief and she'd sigh before going to her room to pack, wondering what this Lenore Region had to offer and she hoped whatever it was didn't involve a lot of manual labor.

ShadowYashi: Intersting character. You are accepted!

As soon as two other people post the first chapter, I'll have the first route up. I just want everyone to catch up. :)

((Hope I'm not too late! good thing my favourite extinct Pokemon was left xD))

Name: Jane Jasmine Gray
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Personality: Jane is a the perfect combination of a girly girl and a tomboy, swinging straight in between. She's very outgoing, and says what comes to mind, which has a tendency of getting her into trouble. She can be quite judgmental sometimes especially with the occasional vocalized brainwave that comes out of her mouth. Jane seems to have boundless energy of sorts, although this energy has not yet been tested on an actual journey. She is stubborn as a cow, if you push her she really won't budge. Jane has the tendency to do what she thinks is right, no matter what anyone else say, even if it may be the most common sense thing to do.

Jane is also quite the sore loser with quite the short temper. She has a bad habit of snapping at people when they tell her things she doesn't really want to know. She can be quite snobby at times, feeling that whatever she says really is the right thing no matter what the counter-argument is. This ties in with her stubborn personality. She might see that the other is right, but she'd never admit it.

Jane likes to think that she's incredibly independent, but really, she's not. She's always had a rather protective stepbrother, and she's actually not entirely ready to go out on her own. That's what she has the laptop for, though. Ty made her promise that she'd email him every day at the least, and she's definitely planning on doing good to that promise.

Another small but notable thing is that Jean is obsessed with Steelix'. It's because of her middle name, Jasmine. She feels that it was a sign meaning that she's supposed to become this great steel type trainer. Crazy? Yes. Her main goal in life is to have at least one totally kick-ass Steelix.

Appearance: Jane at first glance, a very small girl. She's skinny and small and everything about her just seems to be tiny. She has skinny arms and legs, near to no muscle strength, and even her hands and feet are small. The only thing that appears to not have gotten the memo was her mouth. She has a big mouth, though not entirely in the literal sense.
Jane is a chocolate girl all the way. She has the smooth dark skin and black hair to match for it. Her eyes are almost black, with a trace of dark brown when there's enough light shining. Her black hair, however, is simply black. It's cut short, falling just above shoulder length, and completely straight with thick bangs across her forehead.

Clothing-wise Jane likes it simple. She wears a dark green shirt with sleeves coming up to her elbow. Underneath she wears a black tank-top, both shirts are rather close-fitted, showing the small chest that she has, and accentuating her thin form. She wears blue skinny jeans with the outfit and owns a pair of bright red flats to go with it. Jane wears a silver bracelet on her right wrist and silver earrings in her ears.

To carry all of her stuff in Jane owns a rather old and brown laptop bag, with a white laptop inside of it. The bag has pockets all over the front to put stuff in, and it has a second spot inside it where Jeans keeps her bright red coat. The coat is of a woolish material, with two big bittons on the very top, and it flows down almost to her knees from that part on. She also carries thick white socks for the colder parts of the region.

History: Jane grew up in Lilycove City for the first years of her life. Her dad was in charge of the lighthouse there and her mom was a housewife. Things had always been shaky between her mom and her dad, and they really had it coming, divorce-wise. It was a miracle that they had lasted that long. You see, Jane's parents were high school sweethearts, and were really way too young to marry, and too young to have a baby. It put too much stress on their relationship. Jane's dad started to spend every waking moment in the lighthouse while her mom was all alone. The final straw was when her mom found out that the man hadn't actually been spending all of his precious time at the lighthouse. He had an affair, and the marriage was over.

Jane and her mom, Caren, moved away to Dewford, where her mother got a job at the port, taking tickets. It was a crappy job with crappy hours and crappy pay, but it was a job. Jane was 4 by this time. A year later, on a beautiful day, a ship from Lenore full of tourist came into Dewford, but something with the visas went wrong, causing a lot of passengers to be stranded inside the port before they were allowed into the city. Caren had to try and keep the peace between the obviously agitated passengers. Naturally, she was having no luck. At that moment a guy stepped up and commanded the attention of everyone. He calmed people down and made them all civil again. Caren couldn't thank him enough, and she ended up buying him lunch.

Several hours later, the whole mess got resolved and the passengers were allowed in the city. The guy, whose name was Dean, stayed to keep Caren company during her shift, and he escorted her home. The day after he came back to the port to talk to her. Caren invited him home for dinner and he charmed the six year old Jane into loving him. Dean and Caren pretty much spent the whole week together until it was time for Dean to get back home. Teary goodbye and a totally romantic kiss later, and Dean was on his way back to his own town.

In the mean time, Caren was miserable for the next year, missing the spontaneous man that had jumped into her life. A year later another ship arrived from the Lenore region. To Caren's surprise the same blonde-haired man emerged from the ship and literally lifted her off her feet in a hug. There was a little dark-haired boy with him, his son, Ty. Dean and Ty stayed at Caren's small apartment. Seven year old Jane was delighted with having someone to play with. Ty was one year older than she was, and immediately took to her as well. The two of them together raised a few eyebrows when they walked down the street. Jane was obviously black and Ty was completely white, but they both laughed about it.

Dean and Ty stayed in Dewford for a month. Dean and Caren got married. A lot of people weren't very happy with this, for even though Caren had known Dean for a year, they had only actually seen each other for a month and a week. But they wouldn't listen, convinced it was true love. Caren went back with Dean to his house in Shirk Town. Dean worked as lab technician and therefore had quite a decent house. Much better than the crowded apartment that Jane had previously lived in.

The next years were all good years. Caren went back to being a stay-home mom. Ty loved her like she was his actual mother and Jane loved Dean like he was her father. And the both of them loved each other as if they were true siblings. Jane sometimes got picked on because she was so small, but Ty would always come up for her, even though he wasn't exactly buff either. They were closer than peanut butter and jelly.

Grassy Plains (Route 1)
1-2 posts

You have just entered Route One, the Grassy Plains, which, like its name implies, is very grassy. It is a very long path with nothing but different lengths of grass, the occasional bush or tree and, of course, pokemon. When you are done with your posts, please finish with you entering into a wooden cabin. It is a pokemon center made right in the middle of the path, as the path is so long, it is not safe to get to the next city without taking a rest.

Jaden stepped off the transport and took a deep breath, the fresh air was a welcome change from the polluted mess that hovered over Saffron. He took a look around at the muddy huts that he assumed were the homes and facilities of this lands newest residents. Two buildings stuck out to Jaden in particular, neither seemed to match the style of the smaller houses around them. One stood up atop a hill and was made of similar brick that the homes were made of but also had wires an satellite dishes coming out of it, the other being a giant building laying across a small lake and seeming completely out of place.

He played a game of Eeny Meeny with himself and decided that the building covered in electronics must be the lab advertised on the television. He pulled the straps of his bag and guitar back up on his shoulders and headed up the hill. He made sure to take the cigarette out of his mouth and place it back in his shirt pocket before walking into the laboratory. "Best not to scare the old man." Jaden said to himself laughing before he pushed open the glass door.

To Jadens surprise the only person who seemed eligible enough to be considered a professor was an earthy looking young man. His appearance seemed to reflect the new region, he was a modern change that reflected more simple times, it seemed Jaden had made a good choice. Making conversation with the white coated man stood a girl who looked like she was about Jadens age with almond skin. Jaden couldn't tell what her emotion was when she was handed her Pokemon, if she was excited it was muffled by her complete boredom. The girl left the room surprisingly taking little notice (if any at all) of Jaden. The Professor Leef scratched the back of his head and took a long breath. He then took notice of Jaden and his expression completely changed.

"Why hello! My name is Professor Leef, nice to meet you!" He extended his hand out in front of him. Jaden looked down at his hand for a moment before realizing the man meant to shake his hand. He extended his grip and grinned at the young professor.

"My name's Jaden, same to you." He said unsure exactly what to say. The Professor smiled.

"Oh yes, yes, your the young man who reserved a Pokemon several days ago!" He turned quickly and began rummaging through the mess on his desk, pulling out several Pokemon balls and a small square device.

"Yeah, I just wanted to be sure I didn't miss out on such a great opportunity." Jaden said as the professor handed him the items he had just taken off his desk.

"Yes well, here you go, I hope you like her shes quite... Bubbly." The professor grinned. "Now I'm obligated to make sure your safe and know exactly what your doing, now that your a trainer you have an obligation to that and any other Pokemon who might come into your possession, you need to feed them, entertain them, and make sure they're needs are met, understood?"

"Yessir" Jaden responded simply.

"And dont forget to take care of yourself as well, this place is still being founded so the dangers that exist outside, and sometimes even inside cities can be quite dangerous." Leef said now taking a more serious tone.

"Of course, do you mind if I just ask one question?" Jaden responded.

"Shoot."

"Why are you just giving out Pokemon like this, I mean I understand that a new league is starting up but aren't you supposed to be conserving these Pokemon for research or something? Are you just desperate for participants or something?" Jaden questioned. The professor laughed and pointed down at the small box he had handed Jaden.

"That will be doing all my work for me, trust me kid its a win win situation." He continued laughing and paced into the backroom of his laboratory. Jaden look down at the small chrome brick of an object he had been handed and walked out of the white lab. He took another breath of fresh air and decided to take a good look at his new Pokemon. He tossed the ball out on the ground and out popped his first Pokemon.

A small blue creature stuck in a yellow brown shell stood in front of Jaden and stared up at him with its big eyes. Jadens pocket began humming and he pulled out the chrome box he had been handed by the Professor. He aimed it at the small Pokemon and a reading came up on the screen.

OMANYTE THE SPIRAL POKEMON
A Pokémon that was resurrected from a fossil using modern science. It swam in ancient seas.
Ability: Swift Swim
Moves:
Constrict
Withdraw

"Well aren't you pretty." Jaden said to his new partner remember the professor saying it was female. She made an odd noise followed by a happy "NEEYTE!" Before leaping onto Jadens chest and gripping on with its tentacles. Jaden smiled and slowly removed the Pokemon before placing it back on the ground.

"Lets get goin alright?" Jaden said to his new Pokemon who seemed to nod at its master. The duo began there walk to the closes path leading out of town. Suddenly there was a loud whooshing sound and Jaden was knocked down onto the ground.

"The hell..." Jaden said as he felt the Chrome box buzzing in his pocket again he pulled it out and aimed it at his assailant.

SCYTHER THE MANTIS POKEMON
It is nearly impossible to parry its attacking scythes. Its movements are like a ninja's.
Ability:???
Moves:???

Remembering what he had learned when he was actually paying attention in Trainer school he took action commanding his Pokemon to attack.

"Omanyte, use constrict!" He exclaimed recalling one of his Pokemons moves. The ancient Pokemon leapt onto the green bug Pokemons face and wrapped its tentacles around its head. The mantis Pokemon went into a rage swinging its arms wildly, it began bashing itself off nearby trees and rocks trying to free its face of the small blue Pokemon.

"This trainer thing isn't so hard!" Jaden said to himself confidently. Suddenly the green Pokemon stopped moving entirely and started buzzing loudly. Omanyte was thrown from Scythers face onto the ground. Scyther readied its long scythe arms and launched to attack Omanyte.

"Withdraw!" Jaden yelled remembering the other move that he had read off the small brick given to him by the professor. Omanyte went into his shell just as the Scythers long bladed hands went down to hit it. The Scythers blades bounced off of the shell causing damage to the Scyther itself. The Scyther cried out in pain and continued staring at the shelled Pokemon, it let out a loud screech that forced Omanyte out of its shell exposing it to attack. Lucky for Jaden and his Pokemon though Scyther had damaged its blades to much to make an effective attack. The giant green bug retreated backwards from where it came taking one last look back at the new trainer and his Pokemon.

"Well that was a little too close for comfort!"Jaden remarked pulling out another cigarette to rest between his lips, the Pokemon stared up and cheered at its own victory. "You did really well, next time we will do even better alright?" He said to his new companion. The Pokemon continued to cheer itself as the two walked out into the vast route ahead of them.

Monochrome: That was a good opening, but that battle was rather short. Congrats, you have recieved an Omanyte that grew to level 6!

"How archaic" Jackie mumbled as she walked through Shirk City, making her way towards her destination, Professor Leef's laboratory, briefly taking in the muddy looking buildings and such with about the same enthusiasm she would most things, which wasn't a lot, given her nature. She yawned loudly and scratched slightly at her hoodie covered arm, today she was wearing a simple red shirt under her plain navy blue and white striped pullover hoodie and some snug black jeans, her headphones hung loosely from her neck and her messenger bag slid against her hip while she walked. "Where's this lab I wonder" she thought glancing around for anything that looked remotely like a laboratory, her eyes settled on the building that was not to far from where she was at now, all she had to do was follow the lake's shoreline and she would reach the tall white building. Across the lake however, sat an extremely large building Jackie glanced at it curiously for a moment before she made her way towards Professor Leef's lab, she'd have time for sight seeing later.

It doesn't take her long to reach the lab, Jackie enters with a slight smile on her face, glancing around she noticed the room was pretty empty, before catching a glimpse of a man wearing a white lab coat, he wore a large smile on his face, which caused his weird and creepy looking beard to twitch "Hello, you must be on of the new trainers, you are here to pick up your first Pokémon correct?" Jackie gave him a slight nod and his grin widened "great! I'm Professor Leef, its a pleasure to meet you." He held out his hand to shake and Jackie glanced briefly at his beard before shaking his hand with a slight smile "I'm Jackie, its a pleasure sir" there was an awkward pause between them and Jackie just stood there while Professor Leef coughed into his hand and looked away "Well, I suppose you'll be wanting to get your starter and be on your way right!"

"Uh-huh" Jackie mumbled with a nonchalant expression on her face.

"A lively one, isn't she" Leef thought with a slight frown before leading the brown haired girl towards the room filled with the remaining Pokéballs, two other trainers had already come and passed, leaving only 3 balls left on the table Jackie noticed this with a half lidded gaze, she briefly studied the balls and then picked one of them up, not really caring what she got she also hoped that it wasn't the complete opposite of her, personality like "The last thing I need is a Pokémon that's more lively than me. . . I could just hear Kurt, Lisa and Alex laughing at me" a small smile broke out on her face as she thought of her trio of friends.

"Okay, lets see what I got. Come out."

There was a musical snap and a shape was beginning to form. It was an odd greenish gray Pokémon with white and red tipped feathers? Appendages? Whatever they were called, two eyes and a set of claws and a mouth, the weird Pokémon let out an odd hissing noise, skittering across the floor towards her feet and Jackie blinked twice at it, it blinked back "What is it?" She asked, glancing at the Professor, who smiled and handed her a Pokédex and 5 Pokéballs with a small smile "why don't you scan it and find out"

"Okay. . ." Jackie flipped open the blue rectangular device and pointed it at her new Pokémon.

Anorith
The Old Shrimp Pokémon
It was resurrected from a fossil using the power of science. It swims by undulating the eight wings at its sides. They were feet that adapted to life in the sea.
"Anorith?"

At the sound of its name, the shrimp Pokémon looked up at Jackie and chittered happily. Jackie tilted her head to the side slightly in confusion before shrugging "Ah well, guess I'm stuck with you. . . can we go now? How do I get out of this place sir?" Jackie looked expectantly at Professor Leef, who gazed at her with disbelief "U-Umm S-Sure, just head East and you'll read the end of Shirk City" Jackie nodded and recalled her Anorith, she was slightly unsure of how it would be able to move well on land, since it didn't have feet. . . or at least she thinks it didn't have feet, she didn't check but the Pokédex said at its wings or whatever were more adapted to water than land so maybe that meant it couldn't survive well on the ground "Or maybe I'm just putting way too much thought into this" Jackie sighed and scratched her head "I hope this next place has a spot to rest, I wanna lay down somewhere" she turned towards Professor Leef and gave him a small smile "Thanks for the Pokémon Professor, I'll be sure to take good care of it... well I'll be going now, good bye" Professor Leef could only blink and stare as Jackie left his lab, with a lazy expression on her face "What a strange girl..." he mumbled.

"Hmm, so the only attacks he knows are Scratch and Harden." Jackie was messing around with her Pokédex while she walked through Shirk City, heading East just like Professor Leef had told her, she had decided to find out as much information about her newly acquired starter as she could, seeing how she was used to seeing Pokémon from Jhoto or Kanto, this one hailed from Hoenn and was apparently fossilized "So he's like the prehistoric Pokémon Kabuto, Aerodactyl and Omanyte"

"I guess that's pretty cool. I just hope being on land won't be too much of a hindrance. . ." Jackie glanced up ahead, seeing a long and winding green path, this must've been the end of the city, seeing as how there seemed to be nothing but grass, very soft vibrant looking grass "Maybe I could take a little nap here first before heading onto the next town or whatever. . ." Jackie glanced around the pretty much empty path, if she were going to stop and take a nap she would at least want to sleep in a nice spot where she could be undisturbed.

"Hmm. . ." Jackie walked along the path for a few minutes, scanning the area "There's a nice spot!" Grinning happily to herself, Jackie made her way over towards the spot she had picked out, it was surrounded by blooming flowers and healthy looking grass, there was also a lone tree resting there and for Jackie, it was the perfect spot she jogged over towards the tree and leaned against it, slowly sliding down until her bottom hit the floor, she drew her arms into the pockets of her hoodie and stretched out her feet, getting into a relaxed position. Jackie sighed and closed her eyes briefly before opening them seconds later "Oh, I know!" reaching into her messenger bag, which was right beside her, she pulled out Anorith's Pokéball and pointed the dot at the spot to her left "Hey Anorith, come out here!"

Anorith appeared with a musical snap and glanced curiously at Jackie, it blinked and chittered in confusion "I was just gonna take a rest of a bit, I didn't want to leave you out or anything, so you can join me if you want" Anorith mumbled softly to himself before skittering his way onto the stomach of her hoodie, she briefly felt something sharp, probably its tiny and barely visible feet, run across her covered torso blinking she looked down from her nose at Anorith, who shyly looked up, Jackie let a slight smile stretch her face and smirked, closing her eyes and leaning her head against the tree "Sweet dreams Anorith." Jackie mumbled softly allowing a light sleep to take over her.

Scyther
The Mantis Pokémon.
Its claws are sharp as swords, and it is a powerful flyer. This Pokémon is rarely seen by humans and almost never captured.

She could only have been asleep for about less than 3 minutes, heck she didn't even managed to drift into unconsciousness when a Scyther had popped from out of nowhere and lashed at her and Anorith with its claws. Knowing her reflexes ultimately sucked, Jackie chalked it up to luck that she was able to dodge the quick strike from Scyther's scythe like hands, the poor tree she was leaning against didn't stand a chance however.

Scyther had used enough force behind the blow, to slice the tree clean in half. Jackie gulped and glanced nervously at the angry looking Scyther, she wondered why it had attacked them in the first place, all they were doing was attempting to take a nap and it just spazzed out and started attacking them for some odd reason "Scyther!" it screeched whirling around to face Jackie, glaring at her and Anorith "Scy!" it flexed its claws and Jackie took a step back, while Anorith on the other hand chittered angrily at Scyther from his spot on the ground, situated protectively in front of Jackie, waving his own claws about and reprimanding it for attacking them.

"Scyther!" Scyther obviously didn't like that and charged at Anorith, scythe's poised and ready "fudge" Jackie murmured as the praying mantis quickly closed in on her shrimp "Use Harden Anorith!" Anorith quickly responded when Scyther's scythe came crashing down onto its shelled back, his body flashed white briefly before shining, Scyther's scythe scratched against his shell with a shing, but Anorith hardly looked affected by it.

"Now, use Scratch!" Anorith was quick to lash back out at Scyther with his own claws, leaping at the bigger bug with a strength Jackie wasn't even aware it had, and began to scratch the mantis' torso "S-Scy!" somewhat caught off guard by Anorith's attack, Scyther knocked the weird shrimp off its torso and then Scyther took a deep breath, only to release it seconds later "Scytherrrr!" a loud screeching noise filled Jackie's ears and she had to cover them, while gasping because her Anorith had gotten blown back by the ear bursting attack "Scyther!"

Scyther lunged at Anorith again, this time barely giving the bug a chance to perk up, its scythed arm came whirling around and smacked Anorith harshly in the side he cried out in pain while being sent sailing across the field, into a deeper part of the grassy area "Anorith!" Jackie glanced worriedly to where Anorith had landed, she glared at Scyther "You jerk, that was mean!" Scyther was just about to go after Anorith, but when Jackie had called out to it, it stopped "Scy?"

"You heard me you bully!"

"Scy. . . Scytherrrr" Scyther had narrowed its eyes at Jackie briefly before its wings began to flap, faster and faster until they were nothing more than a blur, a low humming noise began to reverberate from its body. Jackie quickly pulled out her Pokédex, curious as to what this move was.

Bug Buzz

Scyther's special attack. Scyther vibrates its wings to generate a damaging sound wave.

"That can't be good. . ." Jackie noticed that wave of sound were starting to become visible and steadily growing larger, like a ripple effect in water she gulped and took a slight step back when the mantis Pokémon looked at her with a sharp gaze "Scyyyyt—"

It was Anorith to the rescue!

The little shrimp had came leaping out of the grass like a ninja, looking like nothing but a green and white blur. He tackled Scyther to the ground and began to lash out repeatedly with Scratch, the mantis was trying so hard, but was failing, to block Anorith's frantic scratching but to no avail and Anorith just kept it up, scratching away until its arms got tired and Scyther looked ready to call it a day.

"Whoa, you know for a little guy, your pretty strong Anorith and you move pretty well for a guy who's better adapted in water rather than land" Anorith chittered bashfully before moving its gaze back to Scyther, who was panting and glaring "Scy. . . Scyther. . ." It was tired and aching, that little Anorith kept scratching it in the face and on its chest, annoying little bug "Scyther" the mantis Pokémon grit it teeth and tensed its body, Anorith did the same "Okay, I guess this means we need to end it. You ready Anorith?" Anorith chittered and nodded in response, flexing its claws with Scyther doing the same.

"Scyther!"

Scyther disappeared from within their sight in a blink of an eye "Harden!" Anorith's body glowed and shined, his body tensing as the shell on his back temporarily became strong enough to withstand the scratch attack that Scyther was going to use on him "Now use Scratch!" Anorith quickly leaped onto Scyther, catching the bug right after its claw retracted slightly from his back, he latched onto its torso and then began hacking away again fiercely Scyther cried out from the pain before after several long moments the bigger bug was down for the count "Scyyyytherr" it groaned.

"Way to go Anorith!" Jackie moved to where the two Pokémon were and picked up her little shrimp "That was a great battle, you were awesome!" Anorith chittered and nodded, a wide smile sweeping his face when Jackie hugged him "It was my first battle too. I think we did pretty good though right?" Anorith responded in full agreement and Jackie glanced back around the area, her eyes locking onto the fallen tree "Its a shame Scyther ruined that tree though, I really wanted to take a nap" she pouted and Anorith laughed while they walked through the grassy field, next stop was Route 1 "My first battle. . . it was kinda scary but pretty cool. I wonder what that Scyther's problem was though, ruined my plan of just sleeping for a while and it doesn't seem to be anymore good rest spots for a while" Jackie would notice with a sour frown, that for the next couple miles or so that there were no trees or any good spots to nap at, just some vibrant grass and pretty flowers "Dude, this is so not fair" she mumbled, Anorith just laughed in her arms.
