Jaden was filled with relief as he approached the makeshift pokemon center. Finally after several hours of walking he would be able to rest his feet. He pushed open the wooden doors and dragged the weight of his body through them. He strrode to the tall pink haired girl standing at the desk and handed her the Pokemon ball containing his Pokemon. "Would you mind?" Jaden said with a tired expression.

"Of course not! One moment." She took the ball and placed it into an odd machine that beeped and booped. She took the crimson sphere out of the contraption and handed it to the bleach haired trainer. "Thank you and come again!" She said with an artificial grin.
"I'll be sure to." Jaden said grinning and taking his ball from her hands. All of a sudden there was a loud scream from outside. Jaden turned and sighed, "Of course." He thought to himself as he dashed out the door. He oulled the doors open again and from behind him came the other trainers running to find the cause of the scream. The once plush green fields were ablaze with flames, billows of smoke licked the sky.

"Put them out! Quickly!" Jaden heard the nice pink nurse yell from inside of the Pokemon Center. He looked around for something that could help him and he spotted a pile of buckets around the side of the building. Jaden quickly snatched two of them and dug them into the soft earth. Buckets in each hand, Jaden dashed for the flames and did his best to put them out. Despite his best efforts the flames continued raging growing closer and closer to the nearby Pokemon Center.

"Well..Damn." Jaden stated simply sweat running down his cheek to the base of his neck. Suddenly an odd looking Pokemon crawled out of the red flames.

SLUGMA THE LAVA POKEMON
It's body is made of magma. If it doesn't keep moving it will cool and harden
Fire Type
Moves:???
Ability:???

"That must be the cause of the fires, he's my new target." Jaden thought to himself as he pulled Oomas ball out of his pocket. He tossed the ball to the ground and out came the small blue Pokemon primed for battle. Flames bursted from the small slugs mouth and engulfed Ooma who shrugged it off as if it were nothing.
"Constrict Ooma!" Jaden yelled out to his Pokemon he leapt onto the slugma and started squeezing it tightly with his tentacles. Suddenly another burst of flames came out of the Pokemons mouth and sent Ooma onto her back. Underneath her shell her blue skin had some minor burns on them and the enemy Pokemon continued advancing towards her.

"Ooma, try your bite attack!" Jaden said noticing the update on his Pokedex. Ooma jumped at her opponant and quickly bit down on its head before leaping away. The Slugma recovered quickly though and sent a cloud of black smoke up in the air. Both Jaden and his Pokemon were left blinded by the smoke that burned at their eyes. Flames began shooting out in every direction from the plume of smoke.

"Ooma, get out of the smoke quickly!" Jaden yelled to his small ancient Pokemon who did its best to get away but ended up being struck by flames anyways. The constant attacks were starting to take a serious affect on Ooma who was getting weaker and weaker by the second. "Come on Ooma, try another bite attack!" The small snail-like creature did its best to attack again but it just didnt have the ability, it got to its feet and was about to attempt to attack before she was inturrupted.

"Charming, use metal claw!" There suddenly standing next to Jaden was Lorna with her Charmander at her side. The small lizard pounced, claws outstretched, to attack its target. The blow connected and Slugma spun its head, dazed for a second before sending out a blast of flames at Charming.

"Fight fire with fire and use your ember attack!" The two streams of flames collided and extinguished eachother. "Now finish it with a scratch attack!" Charming dealt a finishing blow on the small slug Pokemon who lay unconscious after the strike. Lorna pulled a Pokemon ball out of her pocket and tossed it out at the unconscious Slugma making it hers. She picked the sphere back up and turned to look at Jaden, grin on her face.

"This makes us even I guess." Jaden said wiping some of the soot off of his face.

"Not quite!" Lorna smiled and handed him a potion from out of her bag, Jaden reached out to grab it and the girl pulled in quickly and stole a kiss on his cheek. Jadens face turned a quick red but he did his best to hide it.

"Thanks." Jaden grinned as he went to care for his Pokemon using the potion. After healing Ooma completely he realized that she had pulled the same trick he had earlier and left him a little note on it. "My number in case you need it XOXO".

He looked up to question the blonde haired girl but she had already run of to fight more Slugma that were attacking. Suddenly out of the flames directly in front of Jaden slithered a slugma unlike the rest, it looked bigger, taller and meaner than the rest... And it was on a warpath to Jaden.

Monochrome: Hey it's understandable about your computer! It was still a pretty good post! Ooma grew to lvl 11! Ooma learned Water gun!

Grassy Plains (Route 1)

"Agh! I give up! Everywhere I look it's just grass, grass, grass!"

Priscilla was throwing one of her infamous tantrums. She stomped furiously on a flower. Why? Why, why, why, why, why?! The map should have been correct! She threw down the useless piece of paper and stomped on it as well. Then, chest heaving, she looked around her. The scenery had not changed at all. In fact, everything looked exactly the same as when she had first entered the route, over two hours ago.

I don't get it! she thought, frustrated. I followed the directions perfectly! I even brought a compass! Why can't I find the path?

She sighed. Necessity had won over pride. She ran her fingers through her blonde hair and unlatched the Pokeball. Mentally cursing herself, she flipped it open. Lileep materialized in a burst of white light. It looked questioningly at its trainer. There was no adversary to fight, nor was there any imminent danger. Why had it been summoned?

"Lileep, I want you to lead me to the nearest shelter," Priscilla told it. "It doesn't matter what it is, as long as there's food and place to sleep." Seeing her Pokemon's confused look, she snapped, "Look, you're a Grass-type, right? And with those sticky tentacles of yours, you'll have no trouble navigating in this green labyrinth." Lileep uttered a high-pitched, inquiring note. "Me? Do you really expect me to go in that?" She gestured wildly at the five-feet tall wild grass. "No. Just no. You'll be my reconnaissance team. Or investigater, whatever you call them. I'm staying right here." She plopped down on the ground to reinforce her words. "Got it?" Lileep shook its head, as if it thought her hopeless, and slithered away.

Good, she thought. Finally. But she soon regretted it. That outburst had been spur of the moment. Her temper had gotten the better of her. Now that she could think properly again, she clearly saw that sending Lileep had been a mistake. The plant thing was her only Pokemon. Her only protection against the wild ones. Priscilla groaned. She was in quite a bad situation.

Something rustled. Priscilla's eyes darted around her, trying to find the source of the sound. It came again. Then a tiny, yellow thing poked out of the tall grass to her left. She frowned, puzzled. But as the rest of the body emerged, she understood. What she had taken to be a very small head was in fact a crown. The actual head was at least four times bigger and light green, with two round eyes and a mouth, along with several other holes. The thing's arms were more like clubs, without any joints. Its legs were puny things; its only means of movement was awkward waddling and hopping. Its entire body was covered in dark green thorns.

"Cacnea," Priscilla muttered. But she switched on her Pokedex. Cacnea originated from Hoenn, and her knowledge about that region was limited compared to the other, closer continents. Cacnea weren't a common sight either. Just my luck. I stumble across a rare Pokemon just when I can't catch it.

"Cacnea live in deserts with virtually no rainfall. It battles by swinging its thick, spiked arms. One a year, a yellow flower blooms on the top of its head. By storing water in its body, this desert dweller can survive for 30 days without water. "

Priscilla shifted her weight, silently trying to move away. Those thorns looked painful. And she certainly didn't want to find out whether she was right or not. Unfortunately, the Cacnea had spotted her as well. The girl couldn't tell very well since the thing had no eyebrows, but it didn't seem pleased to see a human. It rushed towards her, as fast as its tiny legs could carry it, arms outstretched. Priscilla gritted her teeth. She was no martial arts expert, but she knew that she didn't stand a chance against the cactus' destructive armpower. She quickly rolled aside, just as the Cacnea struck. Luckily, she had managed to avoid the attack. But she wasn't going to try a second time. She stumbled clumsily to her feet and raced in the other direction. Too bad if Lileep would have to search for her a bit. Her life took first priority. She ducked behind a bush, one of the few on this accursed route, and paused to catch her breath.

"Leep?"

Priscilla jumped, startled. She whipped her head around and came face to face with Lileep. There was no mistaking that dumb-looking black blob of a head. Then she noticed that the Pokemon's pink petals bore several scratches. It must have been attacked while out on its reconnaissance mission. Or whatever you called it.

"Shhh," Priscilla whispered to it, though it hadn't made a sound. "There's a Cacnea out there. A vicious one. Don't let it find us."

Too late. The two only had a fraction of a second to jump away as the Cacnea's powerful club came down on them, splitting the bush in two. Priscilla winced. It was over. There was no way they could win.

"Lileep, Astonish," she said half-heartedly.

Her Pokemon tensed itself. When Cacnea jumped at it again, it sprang, slamming its hard lower body into the ennemy. But those spikes were hard; they blocked the attack. Cacnea, even more enraged, struck Lileep's head forcefully with one arm. There was a sickening crunching sound as the strength of the blow cracked the purple pot below the Lileep's tentacles.

"No!" Priscilla cried. This was it. The adventure she had waited so long for, ended in only a few hours..."Lileep, get back up! Use Astonish again! Come on!"

Lileep, grunting, lifted itself up, some purple stone fragments falling from where club had met clay. Nevertheless, it hurled itself once again at the foe. The Cacnea, ruthlessly strong, smashed down with both its arms before the Lileep even had a chance of touching it. It hadn't stood a chance.

"Lileep!" Priscilla screamed, voice cracking. Panic rose in her like water. What should she do? What could she do? Then, in her distress, she said the worse thing she could possibly have thought of. "Use Constrict!"

Lileep heaved itself up painfully this time. Half of its pot had been crushed; deep cracks ran over its entire surface. Splinters of clay fell at its every movement. And yet it made an effort. For its trainer. It reached out with its tentacles and wrapped them around Cacnea's body, careful not to touch the thorns that grew here and there. Then it squeezed.

Both Priscilla and her Pokemon realized their mistake a split second too late. There was no way Lileep had enough strength to restrain Cacnea's arms. Not in its current state. The cactus Pokemon turned its spikes towards Lileep.

"No..." Priscilla whispered, barely audibly.

And it fired. Sharp, glowing needles shot out of the rings of thorns on its arms. The air whistled as they flew past and landed. Straight on target. Lileep let out a bloodcurdling shrill. Its clay pot was solid, and, even if it was as thrashed as it was now, any wounds inflicted to it would not harm the Pokemon's vitals. But this...this was different.

The Cacnea had struck Lileep's face. The face that was normally hidden away in the darkness of its clay pot, which was now unguarded thanks to the beating its usual protection had received. The Pokemon's undeniable weak point.

Lileep shrieked and shrieked. Priscilla's blood ran cold. For the very first time, she envisaged that maybe...just maybe her Pokemon would actually die. She had never thought...knocked out, injured, perhaps...but...to die? Professor Leef's words echoed in her head. Training Pokemon isn't just a game, you know. They're real, live creatures.

Her breath seemed to get caught up in her throat. She coughed, rasping for air while fumbling madly for her Pokeball. It was somewhere in the grass, somewhere...bright, vivid colours streaked across her vision, blinding her, killing her. No, wait...Lileep was the one dying, not her...suddenly, her fingers bumped against a cold, smooth surface. Too smooth to be a rock. Relief flooded her. She fumbled with the catch. Finally, after what seemed to be a million years, it clicked open. She whirled around, pointing the ball towards the battlefield.

"Return, please," she croaked.

The red beam of light shot out, but hit Cacnea instead. She tried again. And again. She didn't know why, but she kept on missing. Tears streamed down her cheeks. Why? Why?

"Calm down," a calm, male voice murmured in her ear.

She felt another hand wrap around hers and direct the ray. This time it found Lileep, who immediately melted into red light and flowed back into the Pokeball. The last thing Priscilla remembered was the small red and white ball closing. Then the black wave of unconsciousness rolled over her.

Neiko Star: Ah, what a sad but very deep post. I really enjoyed it. Lileep gained some experience from that battle but not enough to level up I'm afraid.

Everyone who needs to catch up, please do so quickly before next week.

Maple City
(1-3 posts)

Welcome to Maple City, home of the first badge! This place is filled with -you guessed it! - Maple Trees! This town is famous for its maple syrup farming and with the help of their pokemon, they are well known. Be on the look out, though, as you may occasionally see these guys around helping out in the trees.

Name: Ledyba
Level: 8-12
Attacks: Tackle, Supersonic, Comet Punch

You are certainly free to capture them, or get in some training before the badge. Also, there is a pokemon center and a pokemart. All houses and buildings are a light tan color that fit in perfectly with the many trees and high grasses. This is a rather peaceful city, so don't make any trouble for its inhabitants, or you may find yourself thrown out before you even battle the gym leader!

The gym leader, much like Professor Leef, is a very young man with bright green hair. In fact, this is his very first year being a gym leader! Despite this, he is incredibly psyched and will give it his all. Good luck trainers!

"Dish! Oh" Oddish said a little surprised to still be alive as it turned and looked at it's new trainer and then started quivering in fear remebering what he did to her friends.

"Hmph, in case you have'nt noticed there's a wild pokemon coming this way. Sweet scent now!" Beo ordered as the Oddish stood up and started spraying a beautiful smelling scent straight for the slugma. Oddly enough some of the scent was blown back in Beo's direction and he got a big whiff of it. "Ah... that smell.. it's beau... no stop it.. stop it now" Beo ordered himself as he noticed the Slugma was distracted at the moment by the sweet scent.

"Now Oddish use absorb!" Beo shouted trying to get angry again as Oddish began absorbing energy from the Slugma who finally realized what was going on. The Slugma began to yawn which caused Oddish to begin yawning as well.

"Od.. dis.." Oddish said as it began falling asleep... A grin came across Beo's face as he realized now would be the moment the Slugma would burn that little grass type to it's death.

"Come on Slugma go ahead use ember on it.. I won't hurt you" Beo said trying to urge it on before suddenly feeling a little regret as the Slugma fired an ember at the sleeping Oddish causing it to start burning. "Wait.... ODDISH WAKE UP!" Beo shouted for some odd reason, he had no idea why he was shouting for it to wake up, but somehow it did and it slowly shook off the flames even though it had taken alot of damage it stood to it's feet ready to fight.

"Ah... hmph.. maybe you are worth keeping around..." Beo whispered to himself a look of disbelief on his own face. "Now use absorb!" Beo ordered calmly as the Oddish once again began draining energy from the Slugma.

"Slug... ma" the pokemon roared as you could tell the two absorbs were taking there tolls on it.

"Woo! Come on Oddish use absorb again!" Beo cheered something had come over him, maybe it was the sweet scent getting to him he didn't know whatever it was his self conscious did not like it. Oddish began draining more energy from the Slugma.

"Beo what in the world are you doing, wheres the anger! GET ANGRY NOW, SHOW ME THE PURE HATRED!" a familar voice shouted from behind him as he turned to find the cloaked man standing there in a pissed off stance.

"Ah..." Beo said before suddenly hearing the screams of Oddish who was being burned by another ember attack and fell to the ground. That's when he snapped out of this strange happy spell...

"Get up you pathetic excuse for a pokemon or i'll kill you myself!" Beo shouted as Oddish once again showed it's desire to fight and rose to it's feet.

"Oddish..." it said with a firece look on it's face it wasn't giving up not now. This time though no smile came across Beo's face he began to yawn instead before he realized he needed to finish this now and found an oppurtunity to kill two birds with one stone.

"Oddish run over to that tree and push off it as hard as you can to collide into the weakend Slugma!" Beo ordered grinning once again as Oddish turned to it's trainer realizing what he was up to... But the little grass pokemon did it anyway wanting to prove itself.

"Oddish!!!" the pokemon shouted sprinting at the tree full speed before kicking off it and plunging head first into the Slugma knocking it unconscious, but due to it's affect Oddish was burned once again and it's leaves on it's head were lit on fire.

"hahahahah!" Beo began laughing as he turned to see the cloaked man had vanished once he got angry agian. What he didnt expect to see was when he turned his head to find that Oddish had shaken off the flames and was standing, barley, but still standing none the less gasping for air. It had been beaten, burned, and bloodied, but for some reason it wanted to earn Beo's respect little did it no it would take more than that.

"Hmpm, I guess I won't be catching that Slugma since it lost to a weakling like you" Beo said with an annoyed look on his face as a frown came upon Oddish's as Beo returned her to her pokeball and clipped it to his belt.

He hated that oddish, for some reason it showed him that even the weakest people can have hope. Beo didn't like hope.. Suddenly something else began coming towards Beo and he noticed it to be another Slugma only this time it was a different color... He reached down and unclipped Kabuto's pokeball getting ready for another fight.

For the last ten minutes or so Jaden had been sucking down soot in a way he was unaccustomed. The mercury colored Pokemon approaching him was going to prove to be more than a challenge for him and his now weakened Pokemon. Black smoke began pouring from the silvery flaming Pokemon and clouded the air entirely. Loud crashing noises began sounding around Jaden and he could just in time make out that they were boulders.

"Withdraw Ooma, protect yourself!" From what Jaden could make out Ooma crawled into its shell and the boulder coming towards her shattered against it.

"Good Job! Let's try constrict now Ooma!" Jaden yelled out and his Pokemon jumped blindly into the smoke before being blasted back by an unknown flame attack. Jaden clenched his teeth tight and looked around for a way to clear the smoke, there was no way he could fight this fight completely blind. Before he had another second to think though even more flames began shooting out from the black smoke.

"Ooma Withdraw!" Jaden yelled and Ooma got back into her protective shell once more, Jaden on the other hand was left completely vulnerable to attack and felt his pants catch flame. He hit the ground as fast as possible and did the old stop drop and roll. When he hit the ground though he took notice of something lying on the ground up near a tree. He ran over and picked up the item determined to use it to his advantage.

"Keep up the Withdraw Ooma!" Jaden commanded his ancient snail who stayed in her shell as the area was bombarded with small flaming spheres. Jaden ran up and began swinging the giant leaf he had obtained through the air moving the smoke along and clearing the path of sight straight to the aggressive gray Pokemon.

"Try another constrict Ooma!" He said to Ooma who took to her usual method of attack and went to squeeze the leader of the slugma. Another boulder was launched from the small mercury covered creature and struck Ooma down out of the air. Jaden realized getting close to the small Pokemon without a distraction would be nearly impossible, he picked up a nearby rock and tossed it as hard as he could. The fire Pokemon was struck in the head and changed targets from Ooma to Jaden. Jaden turned and ran as quickly as he possibly could. Flames chasing him as he ran.

"Ooma come on attack!" Jaden yelled to his Pokemon who opened her mouth and let out a giant burst of water. The Slugma was completely blind sided and let out a squeal of pain as steam lifted from its flaming flesh. Jaden recognized this attack from his days at school, Water Gun, a generic but strong water attack, exactly what he would need to take down the rogue opponent.

"Keep it up!" Jaden told Ooma who began blasting more and more Water Guns out at the flaming creature. The enemy tried fighting back with its ember attacks but they stood no chance, Slugma was struck again and again by the water until it completely lost the will to fight. Jaden pulled a Pokemon ball from his belt and tossed at the gray Slugma who shot one last blast of flames at it causing it to fragment and shatter.

The smoke began to reside as the slugma began to retreat one by one and the flames began to die down. Jaden took a breath of fresh air and fell back on his bottom. Ooma turned and curled up to her trainer proud of her victory. "Good Job Ooma." Jaden said with a grin returning his Pokemon to its ball. From the sky Jaden felt a small drop land on the tip of his nose. "Huh... Rain" Jaden said to himself deciding to walk back into the Pokemon Center and heal Ooma up. He handed his Pokemon ball to the friendly nurse almost deaf to her praise for his help. She handed him back the orb and he zipped it up in his guitar case along with his baby.

"Rain, rain go away... Come again another day." Jaden said tossing a cigarette into his mouth and pushing the doors wide open.

"Shroo Smishh"

"Smells good, huh Freckles?"

"Shroo Shroosmish!" The mushroom Pokémon nodded from his spot beside Jackie as he sniffed the delicious and sweet Maple Syrup smelling air of Maple City, it was filled with large Maple Trees and the houses looked so quaint and cozy. There were Ledyba buzzing around all over the place, collecting the sap from the trees, which Jackie assumed they used to make the Syrup here with. Jackie sighed softly "Man, I can't wait to hop in a nice soft bed... C'mon you two, lets head on over to the Pokémon Center and get some nap time in" she was really set on getting some sleep this time around and she would be damned if she couldn't at least sleep for 10 minutes at the moment.

"Shroosmish. Smish Smi—Shroosmish!"

Jackie had began to walk forward, with Anorith clinging to her back and Freckles happily walking along side her, but a few minutes later she stopped, realizing that Freckles wasn't following any more "F-Freckles?" Jackie glanced around the empty tree filled area, wondering where her mushroom Pokémon had gone "Anorith. . . where's Freckles?" The shrimp chittered unsurely and Jackie began to worry, from what she had observed thus far, Freckles was bound for trouble and he seemed to have a habit of getting flung into bushes or something this was not good "Crud! We gotta find Freckles!" She exclaimed, while inwardly she cried, because she was pretty sure that by the time she found Freckles, she would never be able to take her nap "Someone up there seriously hates me."

"Freckles! Freckles where are you!?"

Jackie and Anorith had been wandering around for a few minutes now, looking high and low for her spotted mushroom , but with no such luck, even the natives that she had come across, politely told her that they hadn't seen a Shroomish when she asked "This is sooo not good." Jackie groaned palming a hand to her face "Who knows what kind of trouble he's getting into right now! I mean, knowing my timing and his luck he's probably being blast—"

Splat.

"Eugh! What the heck is this stuff!" Jackie sniffed the honey colored goop that just landed thickly on her head and began to slowly slide, at a snails pace, down the side of her cheek, Anorith chittered worriedly from his spot on her back "S-Syrup?" Tentatively she lifted a hand to her head and swiped a bit of the sticky sweetness off her face and tasted it "Not bad. . . but where'd it come from?"

"Ledy! Ledyba!" As soon as she said that a red and black spotted bug came buzzing down from the treetops, Jackie recognized it as one of her home regions bug Pokémon, Ledyba! Even though she knew enough about the bug, having its data in her Pokédex wouldn't hurt, she pulled out the dex and scanned the bug.

Ledyba
The Five Star Pokémon

These naturally gentle Bug-types gather in groups during cold weather to keep warm.

"Ledybaa" it buzzed in apology, while cleaning off the syrup it accidentally spilled from her hair "Ledy" it smiled once it finished cleaning up the mess it made "Thanks Ledyba!" The bug buzzed in response and shook its head "Ledyyy" Jackie assumed it was telling her that it was its fault for spilling syrup on her head "Hey uhh Ledyba" she called after the bug, as it turned around, about to fly back to the tree tops above to finish collecting Syrup "Dyyba?" It blinked at Jackie curiously, tilting its red head to the side "Have you seen a Shroomish around here?"

"Ledyba?"

When the bug gave her a clueless look, she began to explain "Well, he's about this big and this round and he's a brown color with green spots" she made motions with her arms while attempting to describe what Freckles looked like to the bug "So have you seen him?" The Ledyba shook its head no and Jackie let out a frustrated sigh "Well, thanks anyway Ledyba. Good luck with the Syrup collecting!" Jackie waved at the bug and then ran off, with Anorith clinging onto her back, their search for Freckles continued "Ohh, where the heck is he?!"

"Farrfetch'd! Fetch! Fetch!"

"Ledybaa! Ledy!"

"Hey, isn't that. . ." Jackie blinked and then turned her head in the direction where she heard the noise, which was just up head, straight into a clearing filled with trees, running towards the noise and Jackie's face almost met with a dangerous looking Poison Jab from an all too familiar Farfetch'd, luckily she veered back just in time, the bird was jabbing its wing rapidly at an angry looking Ledyba, who was dodging the birds attacks with ease and then countering with its own Comet Punch. It was a bit odd to see this bird getting its butt handed to it, even though Farfetch'd deserved it, considering what it had done to Freckles "F-Farfetch'd" the bird panted heavily and lowered itself onto the ground, while Ledyba hovered in the air, glaring at the bird "Ledyyyyy" it took a deep breath and Jackie sighed while shaking her head "I have a feeling I'm going to regret this. . ."

"Ledybaaaa!" Ledyba exhaled, releasing a powerful wave of Supersonic "Counter with Mud Shot Anorith!" Anorith chittered and quickly went into action, shooting a stream of sand for its tail, the sand quickly fell over Farfetch'd like a veil, blocking the Supersonic attack. This caused Farfetch'd to blink in confusion and then glance around for its savior, it noticed Jackie, who walked over to the bird, with Anorith poised for a fight on her shoulder, slowly she bent down and picked up Farfetch'd, who stiffened in the unfamiliar trainer's arms "F-Fetch" it murmured while struggling in her grip but Jackie ignored the bird for a moment and glanced at Anorith, who nodded and climbed down from her shoulder and glared at the Ledyba, while Jackie took a few steps back, gently stroking Farfetch'ds feathers, hoping this would calm the bird down while they took care of the Ledyba.

"I wonder what Farfetch'd did to make it upset" she glanced briefly at the bug, who was scowling "Maybe we'll find out later. . . okay Anorith, lets start off with Scratch!" Anorith launched himself from off the ground and soared briefly in the air before he tackled Ledyba out the sky, the bug was caught off guard by the unexpected attack and wound up getting tackled to the ground, with Anorith slashing away with his claws "Well, at least we managed to get the first hit in" she thought before wincing as Ledyba responded by swiftly punching Anorith with a nasty Comet Punch to the face, sending the shrimp tumbling off it.

Jackie could tell now, that this bug was not a pushover.
