Okay this is my first time seeing this poke and my first thought is its a bakugan.
Yeah it actually does now thinking about it. Finally we haven't copied a Digimon concept!

Do you think it'll be a strong attacker? Similarity to Bakugan just makes me think it'll be a strong attacker lol.

  • So in all likelihood choose a fire starter, then, if it's not too objectionable.

In terms of their weaknesses, perhaps a slightly underwhelming typing, in that their Fairy-type doesn't come into it at all, and it's a slightly marginal type combination that has been used elsewhere. That said, girlish machine thing = Steel/Fairy shouldn't be that much of a surprise. Obviously, they are promoting the Fairy-type and so on, but hopefully it doesn't just do that. Because it's quite a finnicky type, they're likely to have to adapt to this in the present circumstances, however. It might make more sense to have it be later-game, because of the resistances meaning that it might be a bit peculiar if you aren't given time to adapt to such things first.

I think it will be explained that Magearna was made by fusing Klink, P. Kyogre, Electrode, Plusle, Chinchou, Genesect and something else I'm not sure of yet.
Unlikely, given its specific, more feminine look and gimmick might preclude such things being simply thrown in as influences. In addition, they're unlikely to want to base an important character point on state for effect, as they usually don't try and highlight the stats, etc.
