Level One Dungeon Strategies?

So, recently I've been trying to find my way to the top of Wish Cave in Red Rescue Team, and it's a really frustrating experience. I've been in there three times, one of which was to rescue Medicham, and the other two of which I ended up dying (side question: is it possible to get rescued by someone else if I'm playing on an emulator?). I got to about floor 40 using Mew and to floor 50 using Alakazam (should have gotten higher, but for some reason Alakazam decided not to use any of my 10 or so Reviver Seeds when he died). And I've heard that Purity Forest is even more difficult than Wish Cave--ugh. My question is, what have you found to be the best strategy for tackling these dungeons? And do you have any pointers that make these dungeons easier?

I'm using Alakazam because it has great defensive abilities + Teleport, and I equipped it with a Tight Band so I could spend as much time on each floor as I want training, which is a REALLY tedious process (and is kinda stopped whenever I get poisoned/get stat drops on floors on which there are no Wonder Tiles). I brought Reviver Seeds, Joy Seeds (for the later levels), Gravelerocks (2 stacks), and a couple of Frustration TMs. Is there any way to beat these dungeons consistently without spending as much time as I possibly can on each floor? Thanks for the help!

I have a hard time with level 1 dungeons, but what I do is to not go to the stairs as soon as I see them, and only go down them once I gain a sufficient amount of experience on that floor.

Pass Scarf with lots of Big and Huge Apples, Reviver Seeds and of course Frustration.
But the Pass Scarf is most important =) That way you can pwn any monster house on the way to the top and it also protects you from any physical attack in case you have lots of Apples just like I mentioned =D

Well, I can't say I have successfully done one, but wouldn't a Ghost Pokemon be the best bet~? You can pass through all the walls! Having the Tight Band helps as well~

I've heard the Pass Scarf idea before, and it should be easy enough to pull off--I've found tons of Pass Scarves and Huge Apples when I've attempted to go up before. The Ghost idea is an interesting one--seems like it would be a lot easier to escape monster houses that way. I might try that with Purity Forest, since there's no boss to beat at the end.

Oh yeah, forgot about the bosses...
Hm, well, Gengar does have Hypnosis, and learns Curse at level Twelve~ Just sayin. D: Stall the thing to death!

I finally beat Wish Cave on my third attempt--the one that I was making when I made this post. I had brought Alakazam, Mew, and Charizard (because they were all said to be great ones for these dungeons, and I wanted to see which one was best--also, Charizard was my starting partner), and I recruited an Aron along the way to deal with those pesky Poison Point-using Nidorans. The Tight Belt training strategy worked well for about the first 50 floors, and Char and Mew really came in handy against monster houses before all three of my partners died somewhere between Floors 50-60 (on the same floor). Alakazam escaped with Teleport, and then I ate all of my Joy Seeds, equipped the Pass Scarf, and just focused on surviving the tower. The Pass Scarf made it surprisingly easy to get to the top, and all that training paid off as I dominated Jirachi. :D

I also attempted Purity Forest. The Ghost idea ended up not working out for me since they lose Belly really fast when going through walls (even with a Tight Band), so I used Alakazam again. The frustrating thing about this one was that it was relatively easy going until about the 80th floor on each attempt, so every attempt cost me a lot of time. Some key items that I found on the way: Warp Scarf (awesome for getting away without wasting a Teleport), Defense Scarf, X-Ray Specs, TM Frustration, and Pass Scarf.

I just want to say that Parasects and Venomoths are EVIL! Parasects killed me during my first two attempts (floor 80-something and floor 89), and Venomoths killed me during my second two (floor 92 and floor 95). But on my fifth and final time, I got lucky and found the three most useful items--X-Ray Specs, Warp Scarf, and Pass Scarf--on my way to the top, and those three helped me make it all the way. I even stole from a Kecleon shop and got away with it (I stole the Pass Scarf--cause it was an early floor and I didn't have enough money for it--and equipped it instantly, and I already knew where the stairs were).

    Thanks for the tips!

Yeah, the Pass Scarf helps a lot in Purity because it makes it a lot easier to get to the top 80 floors. After that, I'd say the ability to Teleport/Warp and to see your enemies' position before they see you is more important because you're basically dead if you stay in the same room as a Parasect or Venomoth.
