like you know how some pokemon level up faster than others even if they get the same amount of experience points?
how do you know which ones do?
and on some bulbapedia website (like wikipedia), it says "ev yield" and then exp points is a number?
    what does that mean?
and is a higher or lower number better?
idk how to explain it but i've noticed it and i was just wondering

It's based on the number of EXP Points they need to get up to Lv. 100. Serebii's Pokedex notes this number under the "Base Exp" heading. It ranges from 600,000 (Altaria and others) to 1,640,000 (Swalot and others). Obviously, a higher number means more time to raise levels. However, a higher number doesn't necessarily indicate a stronger Pokemon. Most of the strongest Pokemon take 1,250,000 points, while some of the 1,640,000 Pokemon are under-used ones like Swalot and Crawdaunt.

    Hope this helps a bit.

    like for an example
i have to get dig to unlock the 3 regi
but i already used my TM and then put another move in its place
so i researched the pokemon who learn dig in a moveset
    and its trapinch and nincada
can you tell me which one grows the fastest?

Like Elite said, Serebii can help. Just look them up to see which one has a lower Base Exp.

Don't know if you are still looking, but here is what you are asking for:

    - Trapinch learns Dig at Lv41 and requires 61,450 Exp Points
    - Nincada learns Dig at Lv45 and requires 100,273 Exp Points

Obviously Trapinch is the one you want to raise. Good luck.
