You might not be able to, or at least not every easily: Apparently the onyl compatible parents it can learn defog from are other Scythers/scizors, and even then it's difficult as (from what I read) you need to teach it Defog as an HM move in Diamond/Pearl, THEN trade it to Heart Gold or Soul Silver where THERE it can be passed on as an egg move, and then from there you can transfer that onward to other games. Not 100% positive, but that's what I read here

I do know how hard it is. I think Masquerain can learn it in Gen 4 and pass to a Scyther in Gen 5 or 6. Either way, primarily looking for a Scyther with the move.
