    Okay, I just found out about an hour ago I that have lice. I was forced to use the ever-smelly NIX shampoo stuff and put eye-stinging white vinigar in my hair...Is there any other (less-fragrant) way to at least help get rid of lice?

    grandaughter of an evil hair-designer to the rescue! well, I have never heard of white vinager killing lice, but I do know there are several shampoos and other hair treaters that kill lice and thier eggs. They can be bought at a hair-dressing shop. I assume you've gone through the nesecary procedures to keep the lice from spreading, such as removing everythign in the room washing everything, etc.

    Tell her that everything you've worn and everythign near it and anything you've even touched for the past 3 days needs washed. Find the shampoos that are designed to fight lice, though there is a potential that the lice may become resistant, in that case use somethign such as full fat mayonnaise, olive oil, Dippity-Do brand styling gel, or Hair Clear 1-2-3, which will suffocate the lice, and becasue they do not count as cemicals, lice cannot become resistant. Also, lice eggs, called nits, are ot be removed as often as possible, a specialised lice comb should come with proper shampoo. Use a regular comb or brush and hair clips to remove tangles and separate your hair into sections. Then use your lice comb and go through each section of hair from the scalp to the end of the hair, removing all of the lice and their nits. After finishing each section, search again for any lice that you may have missed and remove them. Your parents are encouraged to assist.

    This is coming form a person that has never had lice, though grandma likes telling me horror stories.

    XD lol My mom's called everybody who's house I've been to and told them... Yeah..I found out I had lice while at my friend's house, so her mom's rushing around cleaning stuff...

    oh, and one more thing, that's not designed to encourage you at all: Some more persistant lice cases have lasted over 2 years. but do it right, and it should be over in a little more than a week, possibly 2.

    Bleh, Lice were the least of my parasite problems.

    Here's some advice, stay out of central america. Eat nothing from central america. Have nothing at all to do with central america, or similar climates. I tell you this with the voice of experience.

    that's why Rad's moving to Alaska, now if only she was going to anchorage, that'd be hilarious.

    Bleh, I wish I could be certain that I had frozen out any eggs the bastards might have left. But hey, in another eight months, then I can be certain none are left after another checkup! :)

    My advice to get rid of lice.. Burn your head. Best and most effective way, very painful, but it does the job. Also shave your hair off, it'l be a house for lice no more! You might end up ugly in the process, so get professional advice and don't listen to me.

    I neva had lice, w00pty doo for me. I do have a bad case of dandruff though :(. Nothing a little Anti-Dandruff shampoo couldn't fix. Yeah, go science! Finally beneficial to me ;)

    *puts hand up in the air* This is a very strange method of getting rid of lice but it really does work, you put maynnaise in your hair, Dont laugh cause im dead serious, it sufficates the lice and kills the eggs ^_^;; I had this happen to me more then once >_>;
