Hello fellow Pokémon lovers,
Newly returned to PokéCommunity, I decided to donate some money to the awesomeness that this place provides for all us Pokéfans around the globe. And as a pleasant surprise, this otherwise strictly concealed sub-forum revealed itself to me. So here I am, simultaneously a seasoned prowler and a fresh penman.
Let me introduce myself:
I'm Daniel, 16 years old, and I live in the insignificant too-small-to-be-worth-noting-but-big-enough-to-make-me-feel-uncomfortable kingdom of Denmark. I'm a student, as most of you probably also are, but I am probably one of the younger members of PC. My parents both come from Holland, so I'm bilingual, and English is my third language. In fact, Pokémon has played a huge role in me learning the English language at a young age, because the games simply don't exist in danish nor dutch.
A wild PokéCommunity appeared! In depth about how I got into the Pokémon online community, spoilered because it might be really boring...
Revert to today where my interest in Pokémon is back, more substantial than ever:
A week ago I was on a road trip with my parents, when I found my trusty GameBoy Color lying in the car. Having nothing else to do, I picked it up, flicked the power switch and the embodiment of pure nostalgia popped up on the LCD. With Pokémon Silver Version, my entire youth, consisting of mostly Pokémon and related stuff, gently flowed back into my conscious mind. I saw no more road on that road trip...
When I returned home, the first thing I did was to turn on my computer and return to the place where part of my Pokémon obsession began - the PokéCommunity... So here I am! :)
Interests: Pokémon; Video games, mainly Nintendo and retro style games as well as strategy games; Technology; Science, but I've not learnt enough to understand half of real science.
Additionally I like to talk about politics, about ethics and philosophy
I like reading, especially fantasy books, and I'm currently reading "Metro 2033", a post-apocalyptic novel by Dmitry Glukhovsky and "The escape from camp 14", the story of a Noth Korean defector who escaped from a prison camp by Blaine Harden.
Feel free to ask me about everything! I will gladly answer every question to the extent that I'm able to, be it about my personal life, about my preferences in terms of Pokémon stuff, or in terms of my country. :) Creative questions are very much appreciated ^^

Spoiler:
Flashback to 2010. A young guy, 12 years old had just found the wonders of the internet. It could not only be used as a resource for school projects, or as a place to play simple flash games. The internet also featured a rich variety of pages concentrated on giving out information in a certain field! This revelation to my mind happened, when one of my friend showed me the wonderful place of Serebii.net. All I could every dream of in Pokémon knowledge was there. It had pages on the games and pages on the anime, but also of mysterious parts of the Pokémon universe like the Pokémon manga, or the competitive gaming!
I even remember looking up pages on Pokémon hacks. One of my friends had Pokémon Chaos Black, but we could not find any information on it on Serebii. So I did the unthinkable and googled it. and guess what? A wild PokéCommunity appeared! That was when I got hooked. I created an account to be able to comment "good hack" on all sorts of crappy half-assed hacks, and in my enthousiasm about this entire Forum solely about the Pokemon universe that I loved so much, I told my older brother about the place.
My brother began to frequent the forums here, but not in the hacks section where I enjoyed my time downloading bad hacks. He had found the challenges forum!
My brother loved to make up monotype teams that would be fun to play with. He talked to me about these monotype challenges, about what Pokémon he would choose and what moves could be useful. He only finished a few of these challenges, but more importantly; He got me absorbed into the community.
My brother got me into challenges, but after a few months I think, I lost interest.
