the Pokerus doubles all Effort Values gained. That is why an infected Pokemon gains more stats (until its EV is maxed out, then Pokerus will not matter).

What a waste D3th 1n@rn@te...+5 attack for modest Kyogre? Ouch... that's 20 EV lost out of 512... ouch!

A friend of mine had it once. None of my pokemon have never been infected though. It's kinda odd that the rule book and other stuff never mentioned this status condition. By why call it a virus? I thought viruses were bad. This thing helps you out.
 
can someone tell me how you get pokerus
