I walked the entire palace mentally and saw not a thing. Same story with the Shah(sp) of Calimshan, there was seemingly no connection between the two, neither one forged by illicit love or forced into being under mutual threat. For all appearences, the emblem was something made by coincidence. I made brief checks on every orc tribe I knew of, though I got precisely what I expected: nothing. I waved my hand over the water, blankening it and walked onto the balcony overlooking the ocean throughly frustrated. I slammed my hands onto the railing, barely noticing the cracks the blow put into the marble.

"I was too." I said, smiling. " And I still am. Do you remember this too?" I asked, and with that my wings extended. I warpped one around Celest in a protective gesture. "Last time I did this we had a campfire, and Moonlight was with us." I said, my smile fading slightly at the mention of Moonlight.

Celeste smiled and snuggled into the wing, tickling hers underneath his, in an attempt to lighten his mood.

"Hey, come on. I'm sure she's fine. We'll find her soon!" she whispered quietly.

Treena continued her frolic through the waves. She decided to make things interesting for herself. With a small wave of her tiny hand, she caused a jet of water to rise, high into the air.

With herself on top of it, she dove gracefully into the water, feeling the air rush by her. It was truely exhillerating.

She saw a shape through a window that looked over the ocean. She paid it little attention as she splashed into the water. She rose again, doing the same dive.

Celeste threw her arms up in mock surrender. "I remember you're weaknesses as well!" she giggled, kissing his nose playfully.

I needed to clear my head right about now, maybe I'd get a few ideas. I floated down a floor, containing the quarters of family nobles. No stairs led here, just another symbol of our bullheaded arrogance. The training hall of of my new chambers would do nicely., I unlocked the door and entered, tossing my cloak aside. I took my old staff in one hand and the whip in the other and began practicing a few attack routines, sweeping through a quick series of graceful arcs and spins. After a while, I dropped the pair and began practicing a few hand-to-hand moves from our style. It did little to help me think, although much to calm me. I finished my practice almost exactly as the clock struck six, the sound booming throughout the house.

I chuckled slightly. "So, what do you think we should do to help? We can't just sit here and flirt all day, that doesn't really get anything done aobut the threat of war." I said. "besides," I said, winking to her. " we should have plenty of time to flirt later."

Celeste nodded grimly. She was about to answer when a bell sounded through the house.

"Well, let's go see if Alderon has found anything out."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Treena surfaced again, seeing the sun had moved quite alot. Having spent a lot of time in the ocean, the girl could tell time by the sun. It was nearly 6, so she raced to the edge of the sea, sitting gracefully on the beach.
After a couple of minutes, her fins had dried enough for a cyclone of wind to overtake her.
She was revealed fully dressed, though without her socks and shoes. She pulled them on, then headed to the dining room.
She entered, her hair still wet and slick from her frolic in the sea.
It didn't take long for me to get to the dining room, although it was a bit embarrasing to enter it while soaked in sweat. It was a massive chamber, dark green carpet covering every square inch of the floor. The walls and ceiling were high and wide, mad of well-fitted stone. Th expanse of black oak we used for a table was already opulantly set with crimson candles burning all down the length of it. The four chair to be usd tonight we clustered around the center and the first course, a delightful crab bisque was already set.
Celeste sat down gently, seeing the 1st course was already set.
Her stomach turned at the sight of it. The angel, as all were, was a vegitarian. She forced a smile and clasped her hands in her lap. Her wings twitched nervously.
~~~~~~~~~~~

Treena sat down as well, feeling a bit embarassed that her hair was soaked in seawater. The smell of salt air wafted around her, and she shifted self-consiously in her seat.

I sat down across from Treena, sighing at my lack of information. I noidded toward Celest and Treena, trying to disguise my own negative feelings and hoping I wouldn't lash out at either of them.

Treena shifted nervously again.

"Alderon," she began delicatly. "Did you find anything out?"

Celeste had been wondering the same, and she pushed thoughts of the meal from her head in order to listen.

"Not a **** thing" I said a bit testily. "No connection, romantic or military, nothing that indicates any form of alliance, no ints from any orc tibe. For all I know that emblem could be a piece of scrap from some silversmith." I started in on my dinner without another word, leaning in over my bowl.

Treena gently patted Alderon's hand. "It's alright," she said quietly. "You tried. We'll find something out..."

With that, she retreated her hand and started in on her own meal. She loved seafood, being a mermaid an all, so this was a real treat.

~~~~~~~~~
Celeste picked delicatly at her own meal. She took a very small amount, in hopes of not offending Alderon. She pushed the food around her plate listlessly, not having the heart to eat it.
I nodded at Treena's comment, not quite reassured. to make a bit of conversation more than anything else I asked Celest "do you want something else? I'm sure the kitchens would fix it."
I jsut stared at my plate. Personally I couldn't stand much for seafood. I could have whipped out my magical interdimensional automatically replenshing gear box and eat soem food out of that, but I wasn't sure how Alderon would take it, so I jsut elft the plate be and did nothing./
Celeste smiled gently. "If it's not too much trouble, I'd like a small salad. I'm a vegitarian... as are all angels..." she said, with a faint blush to her cheek.
"Alright" I said, telepathically asking the kitchens to send one up. I added "Anyone else want something different?"
