"Like It or Lup It!" Episode Discussion

its kinda good. I think team rocket need a different motto than the one they use in diamond and pearl. it makes them seem more annoying and it doesn't sound evil enough. ash and friends are taking an awful long time to get to jubilife city! and it isn't really very far from sandgem town! and they still have at LEAST another episode before they get there!
 
I guess I'll lup it. The episodes've been good, but I didn't like this one as much.
 
THIS one I managed to tape. And what a waste of energy it was to do.

It was your basic filler, really, but no other people this time. Just some disgruntled Pokemon and a bunch of stolen food. The dubbing was poor, too (anybody else notice how Dawn's mouth hardly moved when she was encouraging Piplup near the end?). It just...was not worth watching overall.
 
I won't bother taping until CN will stop with those obtusive text boxes. It's getting out of hand, here.

Well, Team Rocket had a bare role in the previous episode, so there they are: front in center. Actually, if you remove the Rockets, you can completely skip it. Funny with all those Berries, as it would have been a great tutorial. Too bad. But, since we're just starting, I'm sure we'll get another opportunity on such things later.

Beyond the return of the Magikarp sub (I miss the old Gyarados one), I can't say much, either. Although, Mime Jr. amuses me, and it's episodes like these that make me grateful for its role, instead of Chimecho's. I hate saying that, but it's true. Sighs.

Yeppie. I agree with Dark Charaxas. If it wasn't for Team Rocket being in this episode then it would be really boring. I know lots of people say that Team Rocket is basically useless but as he can see in this episode and in the next one that they really can be used to make intresting filler episodes.

This episode was good though because it was growth for Puplip who has been mostly not much but a brat in the pruest form. Still it nice to see that this episode focus more on the pokemon and expectually Puplip since it is really new still.

A good filler. Kinda hopes that the gym and contest battles come up since we are getting good fillers for once. Teeheehee
 
I liked this episode. Pochama was taking a big step sticking up for the water Pokemon

Don't get me wrong, Reyna; I liked James' Chimecho. It was quite a character, but Mime Jr. has shown to be more interesting one to me. It's a weird tradeoff, I admit. Kinda like how Jessie's Lickitung was replaced by Wobbuffet, and Wobbu proved to be a waaaaaaaaay more interesting Pokemon -- them's the breaks.
