Line breaks are not being recognized when posting or reading messages.

The theme I'm using is "Darkness Prevails Once More". That wasn't always a problem with this theme.

Many of the other themes I've tried are either too bright or have a lot of red.
Does anyone know of any other dark coloured themes (including the message area) without red that works properly?

Midnight Misty is a nice one. I find it nicer than Darkness Prevails Once More.
Line breaks...line breaks... hmm. It could be that that theme is just outdated. Or perhaps, since it's not recognizing the line breaks, it could be your browser.

What browser do you use? Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Safari, Chrome?

I use Firefox 2.0.0.20, but also get this problem when I check Firefox portable 3.0.0.10, SeaMonkey 2.0a1, and Opera 9.64. I don't use internet explorer for anything other than updating windows.

I don't have the problem on the latest releases of Safari or Internet Explorer after testing with that theme. Must be either the browser or something else on your end.

Acknowledged: Time for me to delve into its coding.

    edit: Fixed, I hope.

The line break problem is fixed.

Some of the pages are still stretched, but only a little. It's not on every page of that topic.

Messages that are stretching the page they are on.
1: Spoiler tags, quotes, and the box for "attached files".
62: A quote here stretches the page and part of their signature is on the far right side of the page. I checked that user's messages in another topic and they didn't stretch the page, so it's not their signature that's the problem.

The computer I use has the screen resolution set to 1024 by 768 pixels. The page stretches by around 1.5 CM, so it probably doesn't do that at all for users with screens that are just a little bigger.

sometimes images, css/div tags, or pre-formatted text can stretch a page.. its just something we all deal with.. glad to hear that the line-breaks are fixed..

i noticed nothing unusual in that thread you posted, but I did skip a few pages..

so hopefully you'll find a happy medium for your visits here on the community.
