Today I bought a pre-owned Nintendo Game Boy, The original *Brick* And When I started it. I noticed these 3 yellow lines on the left side. Their very thin but noticeable.

I really don't want to return this as this was the only one in the shop, and these are very hard to find in Australia..

So does anybody know how I can fix these lines?

I think mine has a line or two on it. It's likely worn out. This is probably a result of it being around longer than you have been alive.

You've been ripped off. That wasn't a GameBoy. That was a Game Boy that gathered dust before you were born and just lied there so much, it got bored and decided to do something for fun. Thus those yellow lines.

But really. Why would you buy such an old thing anyways. For collection I understand but for real playing? No offense but, that can make you look dumb.

I'd rather play my SNES over my PS3 anyday. I don't like newer consoles. I play old Game Boys, Thats just me.

But you could have brought a GBA:SP and played your Gameboy games on that~

Don't forget, Gamecube Game Boy Player as well.

Try to get more with the times OK? People under 14 don't usually feel like the older consoles were the pwnzord. Have you even TRIED one of the Gen7 consoles?

Have YOU heard of respect, sweetie? If [SqS]Squirtle wanted to play some original Game Boy games that's his decision. Which I add, is a very good choice because over my years of collecting, playing older the games made me appreciate and amaze how far technology has gotten, yet as well makes me long for the simplistic and creative charm the older games had. And don't ask me if I have played the current gen games, for my room is evidence enough. Open your mind for good games are fun, regardless of age.

Anyway let me bring this thread back to topic, I believe your Game Boy's LCD has either been slightly damaged or it might have corroded over the course of time. One of my original GB has the same problem, sweetie. If it bugs you, I doubt you can find a replacement screen, but you could just buy another one online somewhere since they are surprisingly common, sweetie.

I just bought a classic GB that has the same problem. Oh well, it's still cool! :)

Which makes me think about some geezer in the 80's remarking on how a NES is 'advanced technology.'

I get the message. A simple "Please sweetie, respect other's sweetie's sweet opinions, ok sweetie?" would have been enough, "sweetie" -_-'

I was just expressing my opinion, or at least the popular opinion in my town anyways.

Also don't overuse the sweetie, sweetie. see how sweetly annoying sweet it gets, sweetie?

It looked a little patronising, especially with the flashing gif and the blue writing, glad it wasn't only me that that bugged slightly^^

On topic though, that happened to my original GB too :(

My dad still have his Gameboy(the original one) and I don't remember seeing any yellow lines. Then again, last time he used it was 7 years ago playing Pokemon Red, and beating it in 3 days.......I don't think he's used it since. Time to go find it and check.
