Alright, so, I'm new to this whole making a pokemon team thing, and I was wondering what the poke community thinks of my team so far. I know it's a weak one, and that's why I'm asking. I don't want too generic of a team, and theres a couple that are staples for me, The team is:

    Arcanine:
Crunch, Extremespeed, Flare Blitz, Thunder Fang

    Scizor:
Night Slash, X-scissor, Iron Head, Roost

    Hitmonlee:
Blaze Kick, Rock Slide/Captivate((can't choose)), Brick Break, Earthquake

    Gengar:
Shadow Ball, Dark Pulse, Thunderbolt, Energy Ball

    Jolteon:
Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball, Protect, Hyper Beam

    I don't have a 6th member yet =/

I was thinking of using Gengar as sort of my all around guy, to help me with a bunch of places I dont really have pokemon to help me in yet.

I really want to keep the Scizor, it's by far my favorite pokemon. Other than that, I'm up for any changes you the people think would be good.

    Double posting makes me cry.

    Glaceon:
Ice Beam, Shadow Ball, Ice Shard, Mirror Coat

    Subsitute or Fake Tears.

    Arcanine:
Crunch, Flamethrower, Flare Blitz, Thunder Fang

    Try Extremespeed.

    Metagross:
Psychic, Hammer Arm, Earthquake, Meteor Mash

    Zen Headbutt and Bullet Punch.

    Scizor:
Night Slash, X-scissor, Iron Head, Roost

    This is fine.

    Aerodactyl:
Ancient Power, Iron Head, Crunch, Aerial Ace

Crunch is OK... I guess. Ancient Power for Rock Slide and Iron Head for Earthquake.

    Flygon:
Crunch, Dragon Pulse, Steel Wing, Dragon Claw

    Rock Slide and Earthquake.

I really want to keep the Glaceon and Scizor, they're two of my favorite pokemon. Other than that, I'm up for any changes you the people think would be good.

I saw some Pokemon that had multiple moves of the same type. Bad.

Alright, thanks for the thoughts. I take it by this you think the 6 I have is alright, so I'll do what I can to get these moves. Thanks.

glaceon wants hp ground or hp fire. shadowball is pointless when it has mirror coat. replace sball with wish. it's very bulky.

That doesn't make any sense that Mirror Coat could be a substitute for Shadow Ball. Wish is worthless, Glaceon will be destroyed by the time Wish kicks in.

I'm well aware that a fire type can destroy me fairly easily. I don't know what to to about that, either. I'm completely open if someone can think of a complete pokemon replacement, but Scizor stays, period, haha, he's awesome.

Metagross may need to go if Scizor stays.

Yeah, my friend said the same thing. Well, since I dont really like some of the new pokemon ((I'm a RB/GSC guy at heart)), I think I'm going to stick to first and second generation pokemon, maybe a third. I'm going to go update my first post with the new team right now. I'm missing a 6th member.

lol nutrisweet. i don't think you understand that ice beam is resisted by most things that resist shadow ball. it's about covering types, and steel types is its biggest threat. and as far as it being killed... it's BULKY. i've had MY glaceon KO a metagross and magnezone in the same battle. the only instances where shadow ball would come in handy is where general special sweepers like Gengar/Starmie/Gardevoir/Alakazam are up against it. it is SLOWER than all of them, and won't even be able to OHKO them. therefore, it is smarter just to take care of them with Mirror Coat. finally, wish is NOT for it to use when it will obviously be KOd. it is for 1) passing when a special wall makes its way into battle *Blissey* and 2) for stalling.

don't try to tell me about glaceon. i made it USEABLE in competitive battle, something i feel accomplished for doing.

    Uhh.. thanks... I think...?

I think a 6th pokemon for your team should be something with huge defense, special defense, and hp. And then give it a healing move, along with something like toxic. I suggest maybe a Blissey, Snorlax or Shuckle. Hope that helps :)

Hehe, Shuckle is a funny pokemon. What kind of moveset do you go with for something like that? I'm fine with Snorlax too, I just don't like how much Blissey is used.

Just thought I'd give a moveset for Snorlax as well

    Snorlax@Leftovers/Chesto Berry
    Trait: Thick Fat
Nature: Careful (+Sp Def, -Sp Atk)
    -Earthquake/Crunch
    -Return/Double Edge
    -Sleep Talk/Curse
-Rest *if using Chesto, its a free heal first time around

The choice's vary, I personally use what's on the left side, but the other moves are used as well with the same effect

Another fine addition would be Milotic, but like Blissey it is rather common

    Milotic@Leftovers
    Trait: Marvel Scale
    Nature: Bold (+Def, -Atk)
    -Mirror Coat/Hypnosis
    -Surf
    -Ice Beam
    -Recover

Mirror Coat and Hypnosis are egg moves, and the rest is just gravy

I have no experience with a Shuckle so I can't help you out with that

Hmm ok im not too good with movesets..
but anyway, heres some ideas for a moveset for shuckle and snorlax
I'll leave it up to you to choose which pokemon you prefer.

Shuckle@leftovers, or chesto berry (to wake up from sleep after using rest)
    ~ Toxic
    ~ Rest
    ~ Double Team
~ Swagger - This is just an idea. But swagger confuses and raises the foes attack right? well with Shuckles Massive defense, this wont matter if the foe attacks, and then you still have the chance of the foe knocking itself out in confusion :D

Shuckle has very low attack so its not wise to give it attacking moves..
    As for Snorlax..

Snorlax@leftovers, or chesto berry (you choose item. same with shuckle)
    ~ Rest
    ~ Toxic
    ~ Earthquake
    ~ Yawn

Awesome! So, I guess I'm going to go with Shuckle then, since I've seen snorlax used many times myself. I did some research on the Shuckle, and my team now looks like:

    Arcanine@????
    Brave Nature
Crunch, Extremespeed, Flare Blitz, Thunder Fang

    Scizor@????
    Adamant Nature
Night Slash, X-scissor, Iron Head, Roost

    Hitmonlee@????
    Adamant Nature
Blaze Kick, Rock Slide/Captivate((can't choose)), Brick Break, Earthquake

    Gengar@????
    ???? Nature
Shadow Ball, Dark Pulse, Thunderbolt, Energy Ball

    Jolteon@????
    ???? Nature
Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball, Protect, Hyper Beam

    Shuckle@Leftovers
    ???? Nature
Stealth Rock, Toxic, Rest, Knock Off((I couldnt find a fourth attack I liked))

Please help me fill in the ???? spots, and check over my attacks! I like how unique like this team is becoming!

    Arcanine@????

Arcanine sould never, ever be Brave.

    Scizor@????
    Adamant Nature
Night Slash, X-scissor, Iron Head, Roost

    Hitmonlee@????
    Adamant Nature
Blaze Kick, Rock Slide/Captivate((can't choose)), Brick Break, Earthquake

    Gengar@????
    Modest Nature
Shadow Ball, Dark Pulse, Thunderbolt, Energy Ball

    Jolteon@????
    Modest/Timid Nature
Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball, Protect, Hyper Beam

    Shuckle@Leftovers
    Calm Nature
    Subsitute, Toxic, Rest, Double Team

Shuckle w/ Stealth Rock is like Swampert w/ Water Gun.

Please help me fill in the ???? spots, and check over my attacks! I like how unique like this team is becoming!

Where in tf did Hitmonlee come from?

Thanks for the Adjustments. Hitmonlee came from the fact that I didn't want Glaceon in there anymore, and I decided to stick with the pokemon I liked playing with before.
