LIVE FROM NEW YORK, IT'S SATURDAY NIGHT! (saxophone blares loudly)

Ah, that glorious bastion of (when Tina Fey was still on there) comedy, Saturday Night Live! to start off rather cliché, do you like SNL? I'm hoping to get responses from people who have seen more than just one episode, thanks. There's no point on judging this show if you haven't seen good episodes and bad episodes, because there are hundreds of each. Next, who is your favorite cast member, whether they be on the show now or not? Same question, but replace cast member with guest host.
Further on, do you think SNL is still as funny as it was, say, two years ago? Six years ago? 10? 20? I don't expect you to have an answer for the last two time periods, because I sure as **** don't, but maybe you could earn some EXTRA CREDIT and find some classic skits for yourself to watch! Finally, how long do you think it'll take the show to die? To bite the dust! To go to doggie heaven!
Feel free to go off on a tangent as per normal in C&M (am I the only one who notices that?) but try to keep it relatively close to the topic, which is SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE! (intro finally ends)

The only people I liked from Saturday Night Live was Kristen Wiig, Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph, and Amy Poehler. The only thing I'll watch now that Kristen Wiig is gone is the Bronx Beat skit, because that's literally the only thing I find funny since it's the only skit I really see Maya Rudolph and Amy Poehler in, and since the rest of the cast aren't people I find funny in any skit, so be it.

As SNL has never aired in the UK in any meaningful way - I think it used to have a slot on an NBC-affiliated satellite network in the 90s, but I could be wrong about that - it doesn't really have the same lotfy reputation that it has in the rest of the world. Indeed, the only time the show has any real prominence is when skits and sketches end up going viral. So Tina Fey/Sarah Palin was the best thing to happen for the show's UK viewership in years. Apart from that, it doesn't really have a presence.

Sometimes I'll watch sketches that people on Twitter/Facebook will recommend, but that'll be the extent of my viewing. As such, I don't really have any favourites or un-favourites. Apart from Andy Samberg; I'm glad he's gone. And Kristen Wiig was good in Bridesmaids at least. But that's the extent of my knowledge...

I don't mind the show. I surely don't interrupt any part of my day to catch an episode of it - I feel it to be too repetitious. It is funny and amusing from time to time it doesn't hold that allure that draws me in week after week or whenever new episodes air. I'll catch a funny episode if it has cause some sort of ruckus or clamor, but that's about the only time.
