3rd Gen Living Proof of the S.S.Anne Truck

    Well, I don't know if anyone's already posted this, or if everyone else in this world knows about it, but I always heard rumors about some sort of truck next to the S.S.Anne, and now that I have AdvancedMap downloaded, I finally have proof that the rumors are true!

    Yep. Its also on the Original R/B/Y too... Wonder why its there though, as it is impossible to get to... No scripts or anything associated with it either as far as my knowledge.

    EDIT: I'm sorry, Almost impossible....
     
    Actually, its not impossible to get to. There are 2 ways: 1) A friend trades you a CUT pokemon so you dont have to go on board the SS Anne and 2) white out after getting the CUT HM (and not using the on board healing room) so that you return to Vermillion City with the boat still there.

    In FR/LG they added a tip of the hat to the old Mew rumors by having a Lava Cookie next to the Truck you can get by using the Item Finder. So it finally had some usage.

    I know. I corrected myself. ^_^; I was meaning "Almost Impossible".

    i've actually heard of those ways, I was going to do them, but it's too much of a pain^^

    Yah, I checked on events and it DID say lava cookie.


    I also think that there were supposed to be contests in Pokemon Firered and Leafgreen because when I scroll down the item list I saw both a pokeblock case and a contest pass.

    Yes, it's thaere but it dosen't actually do anything but sit there XD.
     
    it was orginally there in R/B/Y as left over data when the game was finished and its in Fr/Lg because the develpors were nodding to the orginal one
     
    Yah, but I still don't understand why they put it in Red Blue and Yellow. It was completely worthless in that game! And there was even some dumb rumor about mew appearing when you walked up to it!

    One time one the official pokemon website it said that in the japanese game that once you got the first 150 pokemon and showed it to that guy in that place in that big mansion in Celedon City who said he created the game he'd give you mew(remember those guys in the building who said stuff like "I created you!" and "I'm the pixel artist" and stuff like that?), but in the english version they just gave you a certificate. . .

    That probably means that the mew appearing truck thing is either an untrue rumor, a glitch that happens in only some of the games, or something that will only happen if you use cheat codes.
    Or maybe there actually is an event that was/is supposed to happen there(maybe you need a special item, certain amount of experience, etc.)
