Welcome to the world of Pokemon. I am Professor Birch, and I study Pokemon here in Littleroot Town. Our world is widely inhabited by creatures with spectacular power called Pokemon. As a trainer, you can battle alongside these Pokemon, or simply grow with them as you please. My life's work is focused around how Pokemon influence the environment around them. Will you help me succeed in this task? You'll make friends and foes on this journey. Good times await you, all you have to do is seek them.​

You've heard this over and over again. You've been in the lab before, the Professor's Lab. For whatever reason, you've heard those special words. But this year, you may not hear them. The worst part being that it is you who should be hearing these words. Alas, there have been problems among the trainers who have gone out before. It seems that they have been abducted by strange teams. Through eavesdropping, you manage to catch the words Magma and Return. You had been told that Team Magma had been defeated by two heroes quite some time back. Could it be that they are making a comeback? ​

A Lockdown has been ordered for Hoenn. No more new trainers? Security has been placed throughout the beautiful lab. Its shiny contraptions have been covered with dust. Parents fear for their children. You and a group of kids have decided it's time they went on their journey. The break-in requires skill and afterwards, you'll have to part ways so you don't get caught. There is something stirring in Hoenn, and you have to recognize if you're up to the challenge. ​

Your task is to collect all eight badges. But, most importantly, you have to find out where those trainers have been taken. Why are they important to you? This Team Magma surely could not have caused so much damage by themselves. Are they working with some other group? Your journey begins now.​

Unfortunately, you have no idea what you are supposed to look for inside the Lab. It appears that Professor Birch is prepared and hopes you the best. Even if he cannot give you the pack himself, he has left some pack on a table in the lab. Hidden from view, it is up to you and find it. It is not able to be opened inside the lab, so it is entirely random. There are six packs on the table. They contain the following Pokemon all at Level 5 with only level five moves.

Extra Information.​

Pokemon battles are conducted by the GM, me. What I will do is post the rules for the battle. If it's a six on six battle, there may have to be three to four posts per person, but if it's a one on one battle, one post each should cover it. Depending on who I think posted the best will be the victor. NPC's can be battled and you can decide the victor for those. Gyms will be decided by me. You will be battling me. If your posts are good enough, maybe you'll get the badge. Be aware that each gym has different rules. Also, you will need to train your Pokemon in order for them to increase in level. I will update your Pokemon's level as we go along. Pokemon can have six maximum moves.​

Name and Age: Norman Victor Crane, 17 years old

Personality: (2-3 Paragraphs.) Norman's tough upbringing turned him into a very anxious and stressed man. Ever since his parents died and he had to take care of CraneCorp he hasn't been able to get good sleep. In fact, there were nights in which he didn't sleep at all. And the fact that he is trying to let go of coffee, his great addiction, doesn't help him at all. Because of all this, he can't stand waiting or stalling and will always try to get things over quickly, which is bad because it could get him into trouble. But, on the other hand, this problem of his makes him unable to hold back, which could be useful in Pokémon battles.

Another "trait" of Norman is that he has a very, VERY scary wrong side. When he gets pushed beyond the line, like when someone taunts him or when he sees his path to his goals is obstructed, he will lose track of time, go crazy and do things he doesn't wanna do and will regret doing when he calms down (for example, beating up someone or stealing.). He is aware of what he does when he's angered like that, and he tries to stay calm at all times. While this is good because he doesn't go nuts so often, it has a downside: all stockpiled anger will have to come out sometime...

In spite of all this, Norman is usually a very quiet, peaceful guy. He is also friendly, but when trying to make friends he will try to avoid talking about his past and in some cases he will lie about his name, saying another surname instead of "Crane". The reason for this is that he doesn't want people to be friends with him because of his fortune, as he says those aren't really friends. This last thought makes him distrustful of others, and even a little paranoid. But once someone earns his trust, he will be very loyal to that person and would give his life for him/her.

Background: Norman was the son of Cedric Crane, an important businessman and the CEO of his own company, CraneCorp. He learned to read when he was three years old, and since then his father taught him. and but he had absolutely no interest in his dad's company, or his wealth. All he wanted to do was get a Pokémon. After seeing Pokémon battle at age ten, his dream has been to become a Pokémon Trainer. But all of a sudden his parents died in a plane crash and left everything to him and his brother Cyrus, who was eight years older than him. But all Cyrus did was go out and have fun and leave all the work to his little brother, making him unable to get a Pokémon and fulfill his dream. While Cyrus went dancing, Norman worked late to do everything his big brother wouldn't do. While Cyrus was drinking alcohol and getting drunk, Norman was taking coffee to try to stay awake. While Cyrus wasn't feeling well in the morning because he was hung over, Norman wasn't feeling well because he got little or no sleep. All this stress made poor Norman age quickly, and when he was fifteen he looked like he was in his twenties. After seven years of being his big brother's slave, Norman left for Hoenn, ready to finally fulfill his dream of becoming a trainer and finally making his brother work. But, to his dismay, he couldn't get any Pokémon because of the events that were taking place there.

Name : Dorothea "Thea" Amalyzne

Age: 18 years old

Personality: Despite being abandoned and left on the streets as a young child, Thea is always an optimist. Due to her adopted father's strict ways - being in the army when he was younger - Thea is very aware of boundaries and when she is crossing them, but does so nonetheless. She feels it is her right to travel and do as she pleases. Thea is constantly burdened by the pressures of her adopted father - her adopted mother dying a few years after her adoption - who is trying to get her to be more straight-forward and less adventurous as she is. This forces her to sometimes stall in decisions to consider her options a bit more carefully.

Thea went to military school as a child, but ended up going to a private school after being kicked out of the former for not following rules. Even so, she is very intelligent and can map things out in her head beforehand, giving her a good strategical angle, while still not afraid to risk it all if she believes it is necessary. Despite this, there is always a sense of doubt at the back of her mind, and if she regrets something, it nags her until she either snaps at someone or until she breaks down mentally. This is all due to her rough upbringing.

Even with her eccentric personality, Thea can be very distrustful of others. She has only known abandonment and humiliation, and is wary when meeting others, at least mentally. If she gets close enough to someone, she feels she is being too big a bother and eventually gives up, either by pushing them away or by running away.

And one final note, never call her Dorothea.

Appearance: Thea has long chestnut brown curls that is oddly identical to her adopted mother's. Her skin is pale, slightly rosy at the cheeks, but reddens easily when cold or blushing. It is shining like porcelain, but sensitive, therefore even the lightest of hits can lead to cuts or bruises. She can very often be found with bruises in some awkward areas leading to her father berating her for being inappropriate. Her eyes are large, and a bright blue, highlighted by her thick, long eyelashes and her thin eyebrows.

She is rather tall, almost hitting six feet, and can feel rather self-concious from it, but doesn't let this stop her from going on adventures. Her attire is mostly an army hat with a badge on it, and some thin, dark coloured clothes with secret pouches. Thea does not have backpacks or purses, and likes keeping every either in her jacket or shorts/pants. This includes her trademark cigarettes, something she likes smoking every so often either from stress or rebelling against her father.

Background: After her final year in high school, her father intended her to attend university in a profession that Thea felt wasn't exciting enough for her. He was too hard on her, and she had a nervous breakdown that led her to the hospital. Ever since, she decided that she couldn't stand living with him anymore, so she was going to do something about. But due to the restriction of not being allowed to be a Trainer anymore, Thea almost lost all hope. This is her only way to get away from her mentally unstable home and finally fulfill her dream.

Hey, my name is Hannah and I would love to be a part of this RP! Here's my sign up :D

Name and Age: Maya Selene, Age 14. Hey, that rhymed!

Personality: Maya is entirely incapable of beginning her journey as a Pokemon trainer. She is naive, impulsive, and has no basic understanding of her Pokemon. The pressure that was put upon her by her peers to break into Birch's lab has caused her to be a bit neurotic and worried about what other trainers think of her decisions. When asked basic questions, she often freezes up and subsequently blurts out the first thing that comes into her head. She is self conscious of herself when she does this and feels as if nothing ever goes right for her.

However, in other ways, Maya is very capable of this undertaking. She is determined to succeed in whatever she does, and while sometimes she fails, she learns from her mistakes. Learning does come easy to her- once she does something, she can master it relatively quickly using traditional methods of drilling it into her brain. If she can't, she'll simply find a more creative way of learning whatever it is she needs to learn. She is overall very bright. She is also very trusting, which helps her make new friends quickly. Finding allies on her journey should be no trouble at all.

Appearance: Maya is average looking for a 14 year old girl. She has a round, youthful face and full lips, brown freckles, and rather large, green eyes. Maya's skin is a dark tan due to her extensive time living in Dewford. She has light brownish hair that in the right light is the exact shade of her skin tone, and is long and wavy. She is rather short, around 5 feet 2 inches tall, and weighs around 105 pounds. She has small hands and has trouble holding objects around the size of a Pokeball (although she has never held a Pokeball in the first place).

Maya usually dresses for cold weather. Her time in Dewford has made her used to warm weather, but she hasn't spent enough time in the cold to really be acclimated to it. Her favorite outfit consists of a black, nylon tank top, a greyish green sweater, a grey polar fleece hoodie, a pair of light grey leggings, and a comfy pair of flats (emphasis on comfy). For the break in, she'd probably wear something a little lighter. She sometimes gets hot in all this clothing, but won't admit it.

Background: Maya was born in Rustboro City to Emma and Drake Selene. She had a fairly normal childhood but was a bit pampered by her parents. She was never allowed to leave Rustboro without an escort until the age of 11. Even then, she was only allowed on the main paths. When Maya was 12, Emma told her that the family was taking a month long vacation to Dewford. While nervous about moving, Maya was excited at the chance to finally be allowed more freedom. Once in Dewford, Maya quickly got used to the tropical climate, the natives, and the extensive cave systems on the island. Her family gave her much more freedom here, possibly because she had no way of escaping to the mainland. Drake promised that when Maya was 13, she could have a Pokemon of her choice, but of course, the lockdown went into effect.

After lockdown, Maya was devastated. Her parents guarded her every move and she could no longer explore the caves that she had become so fond of. What was more, she could never have the Pokemon she'd been dreaming of for years- a Ralts. Going against everything her parents told her, she hitched a boat ride to the mainland from an old man.

This old man sexually assaulted her while on the boat. Too naive to know what was happening, Maya fell into his trap and was raped despite a struggle. After the ordeal was over, she noticed she was not far off from shore and jumped ship, swimming around a quarter of a mile to shore. The whole ordeal has scarred her for life, and she has a fear of the water now.

Maya wants to break into Birch's lab to fulfill a dream she's had for years of getting a Pokemon and becoming free of the prison her parents trapped her in with good intention.

Personality: A nice kid but can cat angry easy. Loves Pokemon but gets terrified when he is near Ghost and Dark types. At school he was a B student but got into trouble a lot. Grew up with a Growlthie in the house and has a love for fire types.
He has a love for food but never seams to pt on any weight. When agitated he will attack whoever aggitated him which is why his perents did not want to give him a Pokemon. Just incase he seriousy injured someone.

Background: When he moved to Little Root he met a kid named Jackson King who always talked about breaking into Birch's lab. Unfortunately he moved to Johto and got sent to a reform school.

Name and Age: Eris Nevermore, age 16.

Personality:
He thinks very highly of himself, often times a loner. He may act nice, but nice isn't always good, deep inside he is quite malicious. He loves power, and would do anything to achieve it. His parents called him a monster, often times afraid of what he might do if something didn't go his way. He likes to lure in friends, but in all actuality really he thinks of them as minions. He is very cool and collective in danger, but can snap when something doesn't go his way.

There is another side to him though, one sad little boy. He is very self-conscious about his appearance, thinking he is fat on many occasions. He craves a true friend, and someone to like him for the way he is. His malicious side though, tends to make it hard for him to find one. If someone does something to him, he is not above doing whatever it takes to get them back for it.

Appearance:
Eris has semi long black hair, which covers his left eye. He has a slightly feminine athletic build, weighing 120 pounds. His eyes are deep plum hues, looking blood when they reflect the sunlight, and his skin is creamy pale. He wears a white button up shirt, a black suit jacket over it, and a pair of black pants. He wears a red tie, and is sporting a pair of black Italian leather dress shoes. He also has a black ribbon tied around his neck, hiding one of the scars he got when he was seven. On his right ring finger, he wears a amethyst square cut ring, in a yellow gold setting. He keeps a black pokenav in his pocket, with a red R painted on the back of it. He also has multiple scars, most of which are covered by clothes. The visible ones are on the back of his right hand, his left cheek bone, and right under his right eye. Finally, he carries a black messenger bag with him; this is where he keeps his supplies and pokeballs, along with his other clothing.

Background:
Eris was born in Kanto, his parents ex admins of team rocket. He was always taught that pokemon were tools, and the only way to get ahead in the world is through criminal activity. He was a rather happy kid though, not seeing this way until he was seven years of age. He was playing with his pokemon friends, like he did every day, but today was going to change his life. An older boy, about ten years of age, sent out his pokemon against Eris. Eris, not being old enough to be a trainer, didn't know what to do. He was attacked, the pokemon and trainer beating him, and calling him horrible names. He laughed at him, and mocked him for what his parents used to do in team rocket. This changed him, after the boy left, he vowed revenge. He would not let this happen to him again. After multiple threats to thefamily, Eris and his parents moved to Littleroot town, wanting a fresh start. Now sixteen years of age, he knew it was his time to train. He knew he had to fight magma, and show them which team is better. Even though he is not in team rocket, he still wants to show honor to it. One day, he wants to become the greatest villain in the world. For now, he will fight to bring peace back to Hoenn, and stop team Magma's plans.

Hi this story looks great! I am Dan btw. If there is room I would love to be considered thanks.

Name and Age: Ralph Ashburn 15

Personality: Ralph is very manipulative and clever, a boy that has learnt to have his own way and frequently uses people to achieve those ends. Ralph dosn't reveal much information about himself and rarely trusts or truly cares for anyone but if by chance he met someone he truly did care about he would show unwavering loyalty to that person. The only people Ralph would never dream of manipulating ar hurting in anyway are the elderly because Ralph has a strong belief in respect for the elderly and refuses to harm them. Also he is very protective of young girls so he would never dream of hurting them in any way.

Ralph really likes cold weather and especially Winter nights because it helps him to think. He carries a diary everywhere and writes all his thoughts plans and ambitions for the future.He also cannot stand upper class people he really hates them and would take time out from his day to insult them and often steals from them.

Appearance: Ralph is very tall for his age around 6ft, but he walks with an arched back. Short, jet black hair that is almost always greasy. Ralph is also extremely skinny with no sign of muscles or physical strength anywhere on his body. Ralph also carries a gem encrusted pendant with the legendary Pokemon Mew on it which he recieved from his old girlfirend that broke his heart.

His eyes are a mixture of green and brown. Extremely pale skin makes him look almost ghostlike. Ralph wears a casual black T-shirt and black skinny jeans. He also carries an old worn shoulder bag that is very personal to him in which he carries supplies.

Background: Ralph never knew his parents because he lived all his childhood in Petalburg Woods in the Hoen region with his maternal grandfather. His grandfather was the most evil man you will ever meet and some of his evil ways were passed on to Ralph but a girl named Erin that he met in childhood showed Ralph that the way he had been brought up was wrong. Ralph really loved this girl and they were going to run away together but when she left him to move to Kanto with her posh family Ralph learnt to never trust anyone. Before she left Erin gave Ralph a pendant with Mew on it which Ralph treasures to this day. In his grandfathers final days Ralph looked after him and when it looked like the emotional pain of seeing the only person he ever cared about suffer became to much Ralph killed his Grandfather (This action haunts his nightmares to this day) and took his old supplies back and set of into the world. Ralph wants to go on this journey to find a new life for himself he dosn't want freinds he wants fame and fortune and he wants riches, Ralph isn't going to let anyone boss him around and if necessary he will use others to achieve his goals.
