    Hey all, there's a new social group that's invite only, and it's a battle/collab group. While I think Comic Tragedy wants to keep only people at a certain level, members will probably bring up other members to be added into the group when you reach a standard or something or other. (It wouldn't be fair for more advanced graphic artists to go up against less experienced ones, and it would be a pain to do ranking and such.) The details haven't been ironed out yet.

    (But what I'm trying to say is, work hard to improve so you can battle and collab with us! |D)

    But in the meantime, I'd like to commemorate our first battle thread. I've yet to figure out how this is going to work, but, in the meantime, this is just how I'm gonna do it.

    Please vote for which tag you like better. :3 If you have any questions about the new group as well, you can utilize this thread as a discussion as well.

    I'm pretty sure we haven't nailed all the best GFX'ers in town though, so while we mull over who we've missed and smooth out the kinks...

    No offense, but CT was the obvious pick because of the text, etc.

    I vote Loki because of the colors. Sorry, Comic Tragedy, but I find calm cool colors (purples, blues, greens) much more appealing than warm colors. I guess its just personal preference. I also like the border on Loki's tag. :3

    This is really... weird. El Capitano's looks alright, but I can't stand the way he cut off her arms and did that... smudge thing. I voted for loki, though that random L is a little strange.

    ... and now I need to get practicing so maybe someday I'll be invited into this group.

    Both are sub par, in my opinion, considering who they're coming from. They look rushed, and like crap, especially Loki's. I've seen some great things come out of both of them recently, but dude, these aren't included...

    I loved the text on CT's.

    Uhh, El Capitano Comic Tradgedy. I like the smudge effect.
     
    Loki, the reasons are being cooler and cleaner.
    EDIT: Comic Tragedy needs a border too.

    El Capitano gets my vote because of the awsome effects used. I loved the lighting ,colours and mainly the smudge. Loki's banner was nice, I liked the wireframe and bleding used but the all greenish colour with the plants really put me off choosing it!

    Then I will create a thread on the G&P section, and ask non battle and collab group members to vote. Hopefuly we will then get some fair votes, and find a winner!

    So...
    Color Me Evil, riginality Fails, Michael Allison Is Not I, Rényui & Shiranui's votes shouldn't be counted right?
     
    That was from the group battle, which will involve us all. It'll start at a later date. Plus we wouln't be biased, we vote fair. :(

    Basically, participants can't vote. In this case, the only two people who can't vote are me and Comic Tragedy, see?

    And I'd love to battle you Michael, but... maybe next week or something...? I'm really busy this weekend, and I'd rather not do it during the school week. And yes, I know it's subpar, I spent what- half an hour on it, compared to my usual two hours? xD; That's what happens when you challenge me during the weekdays. [/dies]
     
    I'm going to have to go for Loki on this one.

    The text killed CT's And too me... the render just doesn't stand out enough.
     
    I just realized that I didn't set a date as to when this was going to end. :|


    So, voting will close, Sunday, September 21st, as the team battle voting will begin then. <3
     
    I voted Loki's because the render shows up much better in hers.

    OK… here is my crit:
    CT got rid of her arm but gave her wings. =O
    Text is naff but better than that script font. :<
    The natural lighting on CT's suits better on Loki's and the lighting on loki's woul look better on CT's. o.o'
    Loki you chopped her hand off! =O
    Yea a tripe one I know. xD
