    Hey! I'm new in the community and trying to get back on ROM Hacking (I used to do this as a hobby a few years ago) but you know, Its so much difficult to insert all the new mechanics by hand. I want to make a rom hack with new story and things like regional forms (w/o fakemons) just to start learning scripting, But I'm not finding a base ROM that is actually working. Can you guys help me with that?

    Just to clarify, I'm looking for a updated base room with at least gen 7-8 pokémon and new mechanics, Such as Mega Evolution and Z Moves.
     
    Hey there, and welcome to PokéCommunity :)
    Unfortunately PokéCommunity cannot host any ROM, be it untouched or fully hacked. We can only host patches that apply to base ROMs. The base ROMs have to be found elsewhere.
    Once you find a base ROM for Pokémon Fire Red, you can use this tool: https://www.pokecommunity.com/threads/425447 to include every Pokémon, move, item, ability, mechanic up to Gen 8 (Gen 9 is not there yet). Or you can use the newest tool pokefirered by pret (https://github.com/pret/pokefirered) to build your version of Pokémon Fire Red.
