But i actually just was told Arceus cant be traded? Is that true?

Arceus can't be traded through home or through sw/sh, but it is possible to get it transferred directly from someone's bank into your home if you have the premium plan. Once it's in home it can't be sent back into bank, though.

If ur arceus is in gen 7 it can be traded with someone else that has gen 7.
