    Hi,

Does anyone know of any smaller or more obscure fangames that I could try? It can be your own game if you want (if it is I can even provide feedback if you're looking for it).
I guess I just feel like playing/giving attention to projects that fewer people know about, and looking for recommendations usually just yields the same 5 popular games in my experience so I'm looking for something new.

My only requests for game recommendations are:
    - At least mostly complete (as opposed to like, 1-gym demos)
    - Some kind of documentation included (like PBS data files, or a wiki, or something like that)

    I'll play pretty much anything.

I think I will try out some of these
I tend to prefer at least some amount of documentation for the purposes of planning and generally knowing what I'm doing, even if the game itself isn't hard. (Stuff like looking up fakemon stats/typings, item locations, enemy trainer teams, wild encounters to see if there's a mon I would want to use, etc)
It's just generally how I prefer to play, even if I could beat the game without it, I want to get the best experience I can.

I even still play mainline Pokémon with Bulbapedia open almost all the time, and I could beat those games with my eyes closed. 😭

Hello there, although it's not a Pokémon ROM Hack/fan-game, I believe Tuxemon would be a great fit for you. It's an open-source/free game similar to Pokémon, which you can find on Github. Currently, it offers two versions of the game. The Spyder version is mostly playable and comes with a wiki, referred to as Tuxepedia.

    I agree with you.

Hi @catchneko :) Would be happy if you could try out the PokéLand 0 games (released episodically which each having a playtime of 5-9 hours)

In the episodes are very story driven, you play as Pokémon (not as humans -> Pokémon have the characteristics of humas), you have Zelda dungeons to complete, minigames, sidequests and traditional battles too.

The first 3 episodes are FireRed Rom-Hacks, Episode 4 is a fanfiction & Episode 5, which will release on the 14th September is a fangame made with RPG Maker XP & Essentials.

As for documentation, I included solutions for puzzles and I have a website, that gives you a better overview of the gameplay and the characters: https://www.pokeland0and1.com/

You can download the games from there or here on ThePokéCommunity.com: https://www.pokecommunity.com/threa...-5-releasing-14-09-2024.457927/#post-10401897

    Thank you :)
