So this came to my head... Some times I find Losing in a battle motivating, but after a lot of failed attempts, it starts to get stressful and not enjoyable.

Well, that's my case, and not all people in the world are as perfect as me. So are you tolerant to losing, or intolerant. And if you're not, then how many times do you think are enough to make your head explote of anger?

I find it neither. It's just a game. You won't benefit nor suffer from it. All I like to see is my Pokémons gaining much needed experience, and that's all.

Loosing is part of life. The human becomes careless when he only wins, and he improves himself when he looses. So at least a wisdom.

I must say, that i try to learn by looses, but its very annoying for me, when i see, that all the training doesnt effect.

not a real problem
it just tells me a weakness in my team that i need to fix

Losing SHOULD be motivating. It is in my opinion only people who feel themselves too superior or too stubborn to accept lose find it stressful. Even if you lose to someone you really shouldn't have, nine times out of ten it's your fault. Either you weren't paying attention or acted carelessly.

While you shouldn't invite losing, you should always strive to most certainly learn from it and not let it weigh you down.

I'd say it is motivation to not take the battlles for granted and not to go easy in them. It gives you a sense of challenge and it makes me get my party ready for the next time around I battle. I don't lose multiple times, has rarely happened a second time if a fist at all. lol

When you're a beginner to winning, it's called motivation, but when you're a veteran at battling and you lose constantly, it's really stressful.

Hear hear.

Never lost in-game and it's been absolutely years since I had a link battle. My record was mixed, there were a few more casual gamers that didn't put up much of a fight while there was this one kid I could NEVER beat, ever. He was cool though, he helped me trade to get Gengar, Alakazam etc.

I can also remember sending out a team of annoyers against this younger kid who lived down the street. This was on Silver so I had Crobat, Sandslash etc so it was poisoning, confusion, Double Team and all that haha. He got so annoyed, I swear he almost broke his GB o.O

Good times ^^

I love losing it means I can make a tougher team and when I lose repeatingly to the same ppl E4 I use it as exp. training so I choose motivating

It's not stressful, I just sort of get a shock because it happens so rarely. I usually prepare my team before moving on to a new place, so the few times I do lose it's usually because of either annoyers or lucky critical hits.

Exactly.

While losing is never fun, and usually irritating. I find it to be beneficial since it allows me to figure out how to make my team better and more well rounded.

Its only annoying if I'm continually losing to the same person.

its kinda both. I get mad that i don't win and shut off the game...but then I keep thinking about how ill never finish the game unless i keep playing. next thing i know im back on the game lol

Loosing is a learning tool.

In the immortal words of the great Billy Joel, "You learn more from your accidents than anything you'd ever learn in school".

i find that if i lose to something or are unable to do something it just makes me a whole lot better and losing in pokemon (sadly) has improved my persaverance in life

You learn from your mistakes - These are the words I apply in life... Including in Gaming... :D

By losing, you Improve!

It usually depends on the situation. I'm usually pretty good at taking loses, but if I'm in a bad mood or I'm tired, it tends to stress me out more.
