Lost world is a neat gameplay feature, but aside from Gengar Prime to force cards into it to win, which currently is difficult to do, using Mew Prime to abuse the attacks of the cards sent there, which is currently the only competitive way that it is used, and Magnezone Prime who can dish huge damage but leaves you with some painful lack of energy, there's not much going on with it. Other than that Lost World isn't really that good.
It's an alternative winning strategy mostly, and like pretty much any other card game that means that its effectiveness varies from format to format. There isn't anything that can recover lost zoned cards, and its win rules realistically give your opponent the chance to take their last remaining prize card because you can't declare victory until the start of your next turn. It was a neat game mechanic that got slashed because of all of the energy accelerators and hard-hitting pokemon, as well as snipers like the no-energy Yanmega Prime. I would say that it won't be viable in the game until accelerators start to faze out, or when the Gardevoir that makes all Psychic energy count for 2 energies on all Psychics comes out a couple sets down the line.
And considering that Gengar Prime is the only pokemon realistically capable of sending Pokemon to the Lost Zone and his attacks are a discard attack and an awful damage counter attack, there's no way to tech cards in a way that benefits as of now. Mime, Jr. can possibly do some damage, but he's still a terrible option because of Yanmega.
Realistically, running Lost World as a fun deck is okay, but competitively it's like running with scissors.
