Hey, I'm looking for a good moveset for a Special Sweeping Lucario and maybe a good item for it to hold. So far it is:

Modest
Steadfast

Aura Sphere
Dark Pulse
Dragon Pulse
Close Combat

I'm looking to obviously replace Close Combat, but what with? als what other moves should be replaced?

Lucario should make a good calm mind sweeper w/ this set

Calm mind
Aura sphere
Dark pulse/shadow ball
dragon pulse.

Does it really have the defense to be a calm mind Sp.Sweeper?

all u really need is to do it once wile they switch and that one boost can make ur lucario stronger than u think.

no, that set is perfectly fine! lucario is perfect for a mixed sweeper, and close combat is a VERY vital attack on any fighting type with lower defenses. although, modest is not the best nature for Close Combat to have full power.

That's the point. You can't really have mixed sweeper due to nature's and E vspreads. Also I don't like the idea of 2 fighting types. i think I'll go with Calm Mind.

calm mind is bad on it since it doesn't have a manageable defense stat. just give it substitute so it has the option of causing damage without getting OHKOd or being inflicted with status.

also, fighting and water are two types that can be utilized for physical and special options on one poke. aura sphere does critical damage to physical walls, but close combat will do close to nothing.

I have the same moveset as you except it knows Iron Tail rather than Dark Pulse.

Should I replace with Shadow Ball?
