So, there I was, playing Pokemon Yellow on my phone using MyOldBoy Emulator.
I got myself a Missingno. , and then I wanted to trade it to Gold.
So, I took my other phone, with Gold, and went to the Time Capsule. What happened then? In my list, instead of having Missingno, it said I had a Lugia lol. At first I was "WTF?!", but then I realized, my MissingNo. was nº249, which is the number for Lugia on GenII. I tried trading it, but it was considered "abnormal". It was funny though. Posting screenshots asap.

There's nothing strange with that. Every Pokemon has a byte Nr. that determines which Pokemon information for the game to handle. Since, there's no Pokemon with the Value 249, it points to Missingno. When you trade the Pokemon over to Gold, the game think it has been received a Lugia, because it only checks the Byte. You can use this to obtain ANY Missingno to receive Pokemon like Celebi, Mew and Steelix, but at the moment, I don't remember exactly how. You can also check out the "Johto guard glitch" to exploit the oversight in the programming. Be careful though, because the game loads stuff into RAM that shouldn't be there in the first place, which in turn, might corrupt the game data, and in rare cases - delete the saved game file.
